The views are amazing. The buffet is excellent, everything is delicious. There wasn't a dish that I didn't like. I will separately note the musical accompaniment: from relaxation to sax. Very accommodating. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. There were a couple of moments, - everything was decided. Hotel excursions are the most profitable, I note, there are overbiddings on the streets.
We stayed at the hotel from 08/06/2011, took 2 double rooms.
Cons: water interruptions, there were moments when there was no water at all or it was cold, all the time they rested they watched and caught water to wash after the sea!

The hotel is not designed for the number of guests who are coming here now. There is constantly a shortage of black tea and literally 5 minutes after the start of breakfast, coffee ends - breakfast and lunch with dinner turn into some kind of race. I want to say separately about the staff - I have not seen such horror as that of the canteen staff in any country... they are lazy. Nothing is being cleaned, there is some kind of neglect and complete disrespect for the guests.. for breakfast, for example, it was launched 15-20 minutes after the appointed time. From the third time, pushing our butts against each other and about the eating guests, we got to lunch! Every day there was a problem with the availability of plates and forks. It might not have happened at all! The same situation was with coffee/tea cups (the edges of each cup are beaten, even the girl was swearing because her child was cut off on the edge). By the way, the dishes in this hotel are washed with their hands and the forks washed are thrown into the guest basket straight wet. I found the remains of someone's food in my fork (There was not much fruit. Apples and kiwis. And then they were cut up like cattle, not people. Those who like to stretch their legs can walk along the coastline to Gagra. There is a market, cafes and various shops. The return trip by taxi costs 300 rubles.
Speaking generally about holidays in Abkhazia, there are places interesting for excursions, lots of sun, clean air (Pitsunda) and of course the sea. In terms of catering, there is much to strive for in terms of development. There are not many interesting and comfortable places where you can go and spend your time with pleasure. There were no dressing gowns either. The hotel is located in the village. There's nothing to do there in the evenings. There is no animation either. If you want a quiet vacation, then you can try it, if you are active, then I do not recommend it. As a result, we insisted on our own and we were found a room in the main building, but due to the fact that two ladies refused this room, as they were not satisfied with one bed for two (the ladies booked two separate beds) As far as I understand it, this is a problem for many who booked one, but eventually received other rooms. Food, nothing special, but I managed to get poisoned. Also, many people were poisoned there. Constant queues came an hour after the start (lunch, dinner, breakfast), because the crowd and there are always not enough tables, and it often happened that there was little food left and they ate what was left. There is simply no room cleaning. The staff is constantly on the phones and on our floor, one lady (the cleaner) was constantly calling some kind of Karina and yelling at the whole floor. And it happened every day. I wanted to rest and sleep after lunch, but I couldn't do without Karina. The towels were changed for us once, but as they were changed, they forgot to put them to us and we went to the reception and asked, they told us that there were no towels. As a result, they apparently took towels from another room and we received them an hour later. There is nowhere to go, there is no park or promenade area nearby. There is one street with local stalls, but it's scary to walk there, crazy "drivers" drive so that your heart sinks into your heels, you just have time to jump off the curb and constantly look back. And at least one thing in my head wasn't knocked down. There are also a couple of cafes where one of them sang a song every day about a glass of vodka on the table by some local singer. And that's it, and there's nothing there. Yes, the sea is clean and warm. Of course, there were not enough sun beds. And they were constantly smoking on the beach, the whole beach is strewn with cigarette butts. Well, what kind of pigs, is it really difficult to step aside and smoke, throw the butt in the trash. You can get to Pitsunda by taxi for 400 rubles (one way). There we walked in a dream. We went on the tour on our own. We like it better that way.
