An ordinary train station, nothing special, opposite from the main entrance there is the Altyn Taraz shopping center where you can also have a snack, the work of the staff is good in general.
It's hard to find parking. The staff is positive. The location is convenient. The repair is average. There are not comfortable benches on the platforms.
The station itself is very good, but it seems to me that the guards do not keep track of who is carrying what. I was transporting a knife and no one told me anything The room is a little dirty and the toilets are not very clean
The train station is like a train station. A small parking lot. It is inconvenient to switch to the second path and back. It is high time to make a restoration or even modernization of such an object. The dispatcher, as always, talks with his mouth full and nothing is heard.
The Almaty2 railway station was built in 1939, built in a classical style.
The facade of the building with a colonnade with an original arched structure is beautifully presented . The architecture is expressed in a combination of classical and
national Kazakh style. It is a significant architectural monument of the city
Almaty ( Alma Ata ) The building is located on Abylai Khan Avenue.
In my opinion, for a city like Almaty, it was possible to choose the best. We stopped on 3 tracks and ran through 2 tracks with suitcases until the train arrived on those tracks.
Almaty 2 Railway Station Only saw off and met the guests. I haven't boarded a train myself for a long time the train station is so-so like a train station waiting room ticket offices
Everything is fine, but there are only two ticket offices, private ones throughout the station and, accordingly, the prices are higher and there is no queue. For people with disabilities, they have to queue for an hour to buy tickets on benefits, this is extremely unacceptable. In addition to people with disabilities, ordinary passengers are also served at these ticket offices, which is understandable, not everyone has the money to overpay for tickets at private ticket offices.
The train arrived on the 2nd track. On the 1st way in 15 minutes departure. I had to walk with 3 children to the end of the train. There is only a 3-way exit from the bridge. The staff is terrible, not the Train Station, but the bazaar.

It may not be a modern train station, but it fully meets all the requirements of passenger transportation.
Convenient parking away from the traffic.
Location, just below the historical center of the city, within walking distance of the final metro station.
The staff is responsive and strictly performs their duties.
The station building is comfortable and beautiful, it does not require repair.
The platforms are comfortable, freshly paved. There is an above-ground aqueduct for passage to the third way.
There are no queues and pandemonium.
The ticket offices are always free and there are no problems with buying tickets.
We left the station on July 24, 2023 and two toilets did not work. They said there was no water. We barely made it to the train. It's a nightmare. As soon as the toilets became free, problems began with them
I returned nostalgically to the past. It works well.
It is especially funny to hear service announcements from the side of the wagon preparation complex. There are interesting things there
Oh, this station is like a time machine, you immediately get into the late Soviet past.
The information board works only in the central room. In the waiting room, some of the seats are askew.
But the help desk operators always patiently answer questions, and I thank them very much for this 🙏🏻
Very inconvenient access to trains. If the first track is occupied and the desired train arrives on the second track, then you have to bypass the train and cross the rails, since there is no viaduct on the second track.
The old (in a good sense of the word) good Almaty railway station 2. Parking is available, the staff is normal, there are practically no queues, the toilet as a toilet at the station is clean, a large selection of catering.
The buildings are old, it is necessary to make major repairs, the city does not paint, because there are many visitors from other cities, and food prices are expensive, intermediaries go a lot who offer tickets. We need to change something.
Still, when they offer tea and coffee, it's nice, but not on this train and they don't ask for 2000 tenge for smoking in the vestibule, and this is already on this train
We could make it, along with the surrounding area, an architectural landmark of the city, but unfortunately a typical train station with its crime, low level of service, and high prices. The staff felt like they were recruited from random people. An extremely aggressive atmosphere, I do not recommend staying there for a long time alone, and even more so for the female sex

It's a good train station, it's convenient to get into the city right away. Transport is also well organized. What's bad: there are no normal canteens where you can have a snack right away. There is nothing, and the shops there are all closed at 7 a.m. There is no place to buy ordinary water.
One of my favorite railway stations in Kazakhstan, compact, warm, so native)) how many times he saw me off and met me)) it is convenient to go to the city by trolleybus, which runs from early morning until late evening
An old dirty train station, boutiques with food prices have been raised by 300%, the crossings are terrible, this place needs repair for a long time, remained in the USSR
The roads in the car service are terrible broken not to pass, there is no normal from the side of the station, but there is dirt and pits inside

An outdated building! Crossing the bridge between the tracks sucks!! It is located within the city limits, and the service is worse than the station-1! It is completely unacceptable for the capital!!!!
this is a very good railway station, which was built in 1939 with beautiful facades of Kazakh architecture, the station is in good condition, it has been preserved at the moment, and it is very beautiful.
An excellent architectural monument.
It is not very convenient for a modern railway station.
The platforms need to be put in order.
And in general, the station complex should be brought to modern standards.
It makes sense to expand its use, for example, as one of the points for the city train
