Yes, the covered multi-tiered paid parking behind the Altyn Taraz shopping center remains, but it is extremely inconvenient to drag yourself from there to the train station and from the train station!

On 07/03/2020, on the descent, equipped next to the stairs near the central exit to the tracks from the station building for wheelchairs and other wheelchairs, a rather large hole was found in the middle of the track. Going down with a baby in a stroller, the wife twisted her leg, hitting this hole! The woman following also twisted her leg. There was no time to find the main thing and write a complaint. I hope this will be fixed soon!
In general, the main advantage of Almaty-2 is that, living in relative proximity to the city center, it is not necessary to go very far to board a train.
Once again, I would like to say about the "gentrified" square near the memorial, supposedly for walking and positive feelings among walkers.. There's a place where no one walks in such numbers! It would not be better to refine the existing park near the monument to Khan Abylai and leave paid parking, perhaps improving it a little and systematizing it along the perimeter. They drew diagrams, hung cameras.. I used to go to the train station with pleasure, but now I'm always on edge when I need to go there.
