The Park named after 28 Panfilov Guards is one of the most picturesque and green parks in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is located on Gogol Street, not far from Al-Farabi Avenue, and was opened in 1965 in memory of 28 Soviet Panfilov soldiers who died in battles with the Nazi invaders.
The area of the park is more than 40 hectares, and it stretches on the mountainside, giving its visitors the opportunity to enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding area. In the park, you can walk along wide alleys planted with trees and flowers and enjoy the clean air.

I love this park)
There is a huge memorial of the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the park, an eternal flame is burning in memory of the fallen defenders.
At the entrance to the park from Gogol Street there are pedestals with WWII cannons.
In the park you can not only walk, but also do sports: run, do Nordic walking - there are special paths for this.
Special sports grounds are equipped.
There is a whole playground for children near the Ascension Cathedral: there you can feed pigeons, ride children's cars, there is a children's steam train with wagons that will take your children around the park.
There is also an opportunity to ride in a carriage, like Cinderella)
There is no special parking. They park along the park along Gogol and Kazbek Bi streets.
There is a beautiful Orthodox Ascension Cathedral, built without a single nail.
