The park is beautiful. It is very suitable for hiking and recreation. There are many convenient shops. It is well lit in the evening. I noticed that the locals are happy to walk there with their children. The park is decorated with the beautiful Ascension Cathedral. It's definitely worth seeing. As well as the memorial of Glory dedicated to the feat of Panfilov heroes. The monument is majestic, very impressive.

Do you want to know more about any specific places or events related to the park?
Nice green park. There are different paved paths.
There are paved areas around the temple. On one side they feed pigeons, sell all sorts of things and entertainment for children.
On the other hand, the square is just small, where in the evening young people in different campaigns play volleyball in different games.
There are few benches around the square, but there are enough.
There are many different flowers and bushes around the temple.
And so the park is essentially a forest belt where you can hide from the heat and sit on numerous benches.
There is also a memorial complex of 28 Panfilovites, where it is installed with reference to two historical long-lasting events.
A beautiful park, this is the business card of the city, as well as Koktobe, attracts residents and guests of Almaty. At first glance, everything is clean and pleasant, the atmosphere is cozy, fabulous century-old trees, a church, monuments and monuments. But what I often see now, walking by, is a cluster of homeless-looking people sleeping on benches, in their own you know what. Then mothers with children and a lot of different people constantly get in there. I would like to see a patrol to control the situation. It is unpleasant to contemplate, and sit down on a bench, remembering that he could sleep here, sometimes there are skirmishes between them, they carry 100 meters away. And instead of beauty and air, you should inhale and see this... (Take action
A beautiful park. An island of tranquility in the historical center of the city. In the center of the park is the most famous Orthodox church in Kazakhstan, consecrated in honor of the feast of the Ascension of the Lord (architect Zenkov A.P.). In the eastern part of the park there is an Eternal Flame and a monument to the 28th Panfilov Guards, defenders of Moscow in the Great Patriotic War. The park was named in their honor. In my opinion, for the guests of our city, it is a must-visit place. I see them all the time in the temple. And after the restoration it is very beautiful there!
The most famous place in the city, in the park there is a monument and an Eternal Flame to Kazakhstani soldiers from the Panfilov division who participated in the Battle for Moscow during the Great Patriotic War. There is also a monument to the very famous commander, Hero of the Soviet Union Baurzhan Momyshuly, who also served in the Panfilov division, he is known all over the globe for his battle tactics, which are studied in almost all armies of the world. Nearby there are aleys to the Heroes of the Soviet Union who participated in the Great Patriotic War. There is also a monument to Panfilov, who was the commander of the division that participated in the Battle of Moscow and in the Great Patriotic War.
In the center of the park there is an Orthodox Ascension Church built in the 19th century, during the Soviet era there was a museum, now the temple has been restored and services are held in it.
The park has a museum of musical instruments in a wooden building that was the Home of Red Army officers at the beginning of the 20th century.
A lot of people come to feed pigeons in the park on the square, there are restaurants and cafes, a modern Artichoke theater.
Everything is fine in this park. From Sofia Cathedral to the kids who feed pigeons on the square in front of the cathedral. Century-old oaks, in the shade of which you can hide in the sultry summer. Citizens and many tourists from different countries. Eternal flame, as a memory of Panfilov's heroes – the defender of the Second World War. Here you will find a museum of national instruments, and officers' houses, various cafes and a game of volleyball on the street with students. A couple of artillery cannons from the time of the Soviet Union. It is located right in the center of the city – be sure to take time for this location
A great park. There are many trees, benches, playgrounds. You can meet squirrels. Food for birds and squirrels is sold on the square. There are paid entertainment (mini cars, carriage). There is both a paid and a free toilet on site. At the time of the visit (July 2024), there was a small renovation, but it did not interfere with rest in general.
You can walk in the park and see the church. There are a lot of icons and the store is interesting. But it's a pity they put partitions in the middle of the square and children can't run and feed the birds. EVEN WORSE, IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO RENT THREE-WHEELED BICYCLES. CHILDREN BEG AND CRY. AND MANY PARENTS CANNOT RENT BICYCLES BECAUSE OF THE INCREASED PRICE. THE PARK IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE DISAPPOINTING WITH INCREASED PRICES. MANY PEOPLE WITH CHILDREN COME FOR THE BIRDS.
The reconstruction of the Park named after 28 Panfilov Guards was done wonderfully and it is pleasant to be there, convenient Parking, the bathroom is clean and there is a playground for physical exercises. It's a great place to walk with children. Sincerely, Candidate of Economic Sciences Amangeldy Zhumakhanovich
The presence of many fir trees and pines makes the park very attractive. In the sweltering heat, it is very cool there, sometimes even surprising. It is very crowded in the part where the church is, both in the afternoon and in the evening. There are cafes and a place for entertainment for children. Lots of squirrels and a pleasant smell from the business trees. For those who like to hang out, there are several night spots in the park.
A modern well-maintained park. It was in June 2023. Quiet, cozy and peaceful in the evening. I was surprised by the presence of a large temple on the territory of the park itself. It lights up very well in the dark.
In general, cleanliness and friendliness are everywhere. I want to go back and take another walk.
This is an old favorite park. It is well maintained, with old trees. Therefore, it is good here in any weather and at any time of the year. There is a landmark in the park - the Ascension Cathedral built in 1907. The temple is very unusual both outside and inside. It is decorated with stained glass windows and entrance doors.
A beautiful park - old majestic trees, there are walking areas where you can walk, sit, think, and relax with children - horses, ponies, you can ride different cars for children. Entrances to the park and alleys of WWII heroes. Of course, the Ascension Cathedral is the dominant feature of the park.
The park is gorgeous. Trees that are 50 to 100 years old, paths, lawns. Brave squirrels who don't mind trying a treat with their hands.
Of course, the story is a path of memory for the heroes of Pamfilov and a huge impressive overhanging memorial stele that captured the moments of a deadly battle ...
Probably I didn't mention everything, but in such a place it is forgivable, I hope...
Beautiful, clean!
Lots of trees, so the air is better!
Monument, eternal flame!
Army House!
The church, on the territory of the park, was built without a single nail. Majestic, beautiful!
There are a lot of pigeons on the playground, a lot of children!
Plenty of room for walking
Impressions 10 out of 10
A stunningly green, cozy park, as soon as you enter, you immediately feel cool.
A beautiful church, and a good place for children to ride bicycles, roller skates, etc. lots of benches, well-maintained territory.
A small but pleasant park. A stunningly powerful monument to 28 Panfilovites near the eternal flame. The beautiful Orthodox church in the center is spiritual and without pathos. There are many benches and trendy cafes in the park.
A beautiful, well-maintained park. A great place to walk. Very beautiful compositions on the clubs. There are many benches to enter the Ascension Cathedral. After the restoration, it is MAGNIFICENT!!!!!
This is one of the best parks in Almaty! Historical church, Museum of national instruments, memorial of Glory to the heroes of the Second World War... Beautiful alleys with fir trees planted by the leaders of many countries ...
There is history at every step in this park!
I love this park. A lot of pigeons, you can feed them. In summer, it's good to walk with children. There are various entertaining games for children. A lot of trees are very beautiful. A squirrel can be fed if you're lucky
A wonderful park, fresh air in the middle of a huge metropolis, there are types of entertainment, a carriage ride with horses, rental and rental of bicycles and tricycles. I recommend an interesting place to everyone
Nice park, very tasty local ice cream.tame pigeons, a beautiful church.pigeons can be fed, they sell food there, but you need to be careful with renting children's toys , they give 10 for 1000 and then they come up and say the child rode more, pay extra , why don't they say that time has run out
It is a very majestic park, where you can walk with animals, children, friends, etc.
This park fills with strength and positive energy, as you can meet street musicians, various exhibitions and interesting events that take place mainly in the evening
This park is very famous in Almaty, there are alleys for walking in the center of the park there is a temple on the square with pigeons, there is also an eternal flame to the heroes who fell in the war and monuments there are a lot of monuments in the park
My family and I really like to walk in the park, all neatly clean paths, good lighting, a lot of benches and surprisingly a lot of squirrels that we feed with our hands and the air is amazing.
An excellent park, many infrastructure facilities, comfortable both during the day and in the deep evening. There is a place to relax and eat and even pray to a certain part of the citizens.
Due to the fact that our beloved restaurant with my wife is located on the territory, its charm is automatically transferred to the park for us.
This park has developed around the Holy Ascension Cathedral. I remember him back in the guise of the Museum of Natural History. In winter, a head from Pushkin's fairy tales was erected behind the cathedral, in which there was a high and wide slide, and around the skating rink, where we skated. After the seventh grade, I remember two soldiers on a truck died at the corner of Lenin and Komsomolskaya Street, now Tolebi. The car's brakes failed, it was rushing down the mountains, and then a group of kids were transferred across the road and the soldiers turned into a tree. The car caught fire and the guys died. Now there is a small flowerbed with flowers. It still hurts in my chest when I remember stories about a conscript soldier standing on the running board of the cabin and waving a tunic to make way. The sergeant was sitting at the wheel and trying to hold him and the car. It was the summer of 1968. So many years have passed, but it is not forgotten. Peace be upon the ashes of these guys, Komsomol members who died to save a group of kids. I really hope that this feat will not be forgotten. Although there is no obelisk at this place, their names are not indicated.
We visited this summer, flew to Italy via Almaty. We walked around the city, visited all the beautiful places. I really liked the abundance of huge pink roses near the church.
A squirrel was running through the perennial trees.
It is very beautiful, cool, and pleasant to relax in the summer heat.
This is a very, very beautiful place where you can walk with your family, drink coffee, sit, relax, put your thoughts in order and enjoy nature, as well as the cathedral of incredible beauty :)
We used to go to this park a lot - there was a little kid. We walk less often now. Panfilovtsev Park is a significant place in Almaty. This is a memory of the war, about the heroes of Kazakhstanis.
The park is good at any time of the year. You feel good in it. There are firs, pines and other trees, museums, memorials, lots of squirrels before lunch, and entertainment for children. In general, I advise everyone to take a walk in the park.
A beautiful park. The flowers are pleasing in their variety. In the evening, a lot of young people play active games. The only thing that does not please is the permission to feed pigeons in the square. In some countries, this is prohibited and correct. There are many arguments against it.
A wonderful, very cozy and well-maintained oasis in the center of my beloved city, where in summer it is always fresh in the lacy shade of the trees. The monument to the Panfilov heroes is a majestic and memorable place for the indigenous people of Alma-Ata, the most beautiful
with a rich history, the current Orthodox cathedral - all this is our cultural code, which cannot be taken away from us.
It's actually a very beautiful place, a beautiful cathedral, a beautiful park, a very atmospheric place. I advise you to take a walk, get some fresh air, and enjoy the beautiful nature.
How nice it is to relax in this park!Such a careful attitude to nature:they water often and so cleanly around, squirrels surprise with their jumps up close, people relax on benches and on the grass.....nearby is the Museum of Musical Instruments, the Voznesensky Cathedral and, of course, the most important thing is the monument to Panfilov!Thank you, we had a great rest and we will definitely visit you on arrival!
The monument in honor of the feat of 28 Panfilov heroes is, as it should be, strict, formidable, causes respect and feelings of pride for these warriors. The park also has a monument to internationalist soldiers, the Alley of Presidents and one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Alma-Ata. The park itself was not impressed. Too small.
The temple is stunning in its beauty! Carved crosses on the domes, beautiful architecture and a very well-maintained area around the temple. Be sure to visit if you are in Almaty!
It is very beautiful, there are many places where you can walk with children, an interesting zoo, many animals, it will be very interesting for children, there is a water park where you can swim with the whole family
A pleasant park where you can hide from the heat and bustle of the city.
I like everything except the square near the temple from Gogol's side, in the summer there is some kind of hell going on, everything is in pigeons, their droppings and children on electric cars and the cherry on the horse cake there, between children and pigeons, something obviously needs to be done about it.
Large, green, well-maintained, cozy. Ideal for leisurely walks with the family or alone. There are a number of activities for children. The current temple is very pretty.
