The hotel does not meet the "price-quality" formula.
The big disadvantage of the hotel is the lack of a summer pool. The food is poor, monotonous, repetitive, of poor quality. The constant assortment is the same: buckwheat, rice, dried fish, store-bought dumplings. Hot drinks, powdered wines and juices are not of the best quality.
The beach is poorly landscaped. The entrance to the seas due to the rocky bottom is difficult for people of any age. It was possible to install ladders. Places are occupied in advance. There is no Wi-fi on the beach, animation, a bar (where you could buy ice cream and water for children) in short, you will not see anything on the beach except sun beds. The lights are often turned off, and the air conditioners are often turned off. There is NO entertainment for children. Parents have to walk with their children in the park and watch cartoons on TV in the room. The staff is not friendly and not competent!! Coffee is not provided for standard rooms. In addition to the legacy of the Soviet Union, a beautiful building and a park, there is nothing more positive to say.

I liked the hotel as a whole. We lived from 14.06 to 24.06 in the main building, room 1327. The room seems to have a sea view, but not really))) The view is blocked by majestic Himalayan cedars. It didn't upset us at all, the sound of the sea was audible and a piece was visible, so it was nice to fall asleep!!!
We took full board, the food was of high quality, the variety is small, but there is always something to choose from. Champagne was given for breakfast (the quality is so-so), wine for lunch (you can drink it), alcoholic beverages are not given for dinner, but you can buy it at the bar (a glass of local 150-250 rubles).
The beach is sandy and pebbly, the entrance to the sea is inconvenient (on stones), take bathing suits with you. The water is clean, it cannot be compared with our coast.
I liked the Pier restaurant, there was one unpleasant incident with the service, but the administrator skillfully resolved it (for this he should be praised).
The territory of the hotel is not very large, but it is beautiful, it is pleasant to walk in the evening, you can not even go out to Gagra.
We were in Abkhazia for the first time. Nature and the hotel have left good impressions, we are ready to visit again!

Among the advantages: the beauty of nature and a good medical center, proximity to the sea, the food is uniform, there are not enough dishes all the time, the rooms in the 2nd building are terrible, it is impossible to turn around in the shower, children have hard cots, it is impossible to sleep. There is no animation, the children have nothing to do. The price and quality do not match

We had a rest in June . I liked everything very much. Delicious food , lots of entertainment , the hotel has 2 restaurants with excellent food , gorgeous sea , gorgeous pool , cool room , gorgeous , cool and kind animators , beautiful territory . I had a rest from April 20 to 27, 2023, the hotel is at the highest level. We took a standard room, a small one, but it was enough for two ladies, we did not sit in the room. Cleaning every day, towels are changed every day. At first we took breakfast, but because it was rainy and we didn't leave every day, we paid for lunches and dinners, the food is sooo delicious and varied, that's nothing to complain about at all. We went to the restaurant, Pier, on the first evening for 1000 rubles, which we paid for lunch and dinner, you won't get enough there, so I recommend full board, even if you miss lunch. The territory of the hotel is green, clean and tidy in everything, the renovation is fresh and modern. I will definitely come back here, one minus is boring in the evening and there is no cafe nearby, everything is within a 15-39 minute walk. Thanks to the staff, you can't see them, you can't hear them, but everything is in perfect order. I recommend it without a doubt!!!

It is considered the best hotel in Abkhazia, it was not possible to check. The territory is very well maintained, green, lots of shade. A sandy and pebbly beach, I recommend taking shoes to enter the water. The kitchen is 3+, 70% of the dishes have not changed for 10 days. There is no wine at lunch and no beer in the evening, you will not drink in ordinary life. For this money, it's better to go to Turkey!

Amra - in my opinion, this is the best hotel in Gagra. But not the second building. In order. Excellent location, coolness (by sane Abkhazian standards) scales already at the entrance. The architecture is very beautiful, the decoration, the cleanliness - all this is wonderful. The rooms are good in my opinion. We had a room on the 0 floor with a balcony - we really liked it, the neighbors were indignant that there was no sea. Well... Who needs what. The room had a feeling of comfort comparable to one's own home. The room would be cleaned regularly. The buffet is beyond praise. Food for every taste and mood. I repeat, by Abkhazian standards. There is a heated swimming pool, a very modest gym. The hotel has a beautiful territory. And two good restaurants of their own. Now about the cons. There are two of them. The price and the second case. The price is not a minus for everyone. But honestly, it's a little expensive. But if this can be understood in relation to the main building, then in relation to the second building - no, no, and again no! The miniature rooms and the toilet are actually under the shower. My wife and I escaped from such a room when we saw it. Just for the price they ask for a room in the second corse, you can find a much better option in Gagra. And finally, a huge plus is the contingent. Decent people with children, no eternally drunken aggressive cattle. Believe me, this is very important for a comfortable stay in Abkhazia.

We returned from this magnificent place two days ago. The hotel is on top. Gorgeous territory, magnificent park. The room is great, cleaned every day, everything is clean. They were simply fed for slaughter. Duck, rabbit, mutton, kebab, you can't count everything. Great breakfasts. We didn't want to have dinner in person anymore. I personally drank kefir. There was alcohol at the table. A magnificent warm swimming pool. Everything is blooming and smelling, the birds were bursting in the morning. I recommend.

We stayed at the hotel from April 13 to April 18, 2023. It is difficult to find a hotel of this level in Russia at all, not like in Gagra.
My impression of the hotel is the most positive. A wonderful hotel, the territory is so green and beautiful that you can't get enough of it, the inside of the hotel is clean, beautiful, the rooms have everything you need. The staff is friendly. The buffet is varied and delicious. It turned out that the Easter holiday was celebrated at the hotel. The staff at the restaurant set a beautiful Easter table.

Surprisingly warm memories connect me with this place, I rested here a long time ago, in 2006. Wonderful hospitable Abkhazia, intoxicating air that can be canned and taken away with you.. Amra is a former boarding house for party workers, built in the appropriate style of the Soviet era. The amazingly beautiful stucco ceiling in the dining room, a gorgeous area with palm trees and many other tropical plants. On one side there is an endless sea, on the other mountains to the sky, and between them is Amra, an oasis, beautiful and warm like the Abkhazian sun!

We have been vacationing since June 1. The service is terrible! The cleaning is terrible, the towels are all torn, the linen is the same, and this despite the fact that we lived in a suite of category A. The maids are rude to any remark. The Swedish line is a separate topic: the dishes are dirty, and you can't wait for them, the tables are not cleaned, all the food is cold, bakery products feel like they have been lying for weeks, everything is dry. The waiters barely work, mostly sleeping on the move. They are just as rude as the rest of the staff. Upon arrival at the suite, there was terrible dirt and crumbs in the closets, so we had to wipe everything ourselves. I had the honor to talk with the director of the hotel, who was also rude and in every possible way did not want to accept criticism of her employees. In general, not a step further to this hotel, I have never met a worse hotel....

Three because the hotel does not match the category. Starting from tiny rooms with sagging beds, ending with the absence of a declared children's room and half of the lobby bar menu, which was not available.
Otherwise, it is a beautiful and very interesting hotel.
The pool is very good, but again the steam rooms should be free at the pool as in all normal hotels.

The rooms in the second building are also good, but there is very little space in the bathroom. They cleaned well, changed the water every day. Linen is changed every 3 days, towels are also written in the rules that it is 3 days, but it seemed to me that they were changed every day. Of course, there are little things that you can endlessly find fault with, but it's better not to pay attention to them.I liked the rest even out of season. Children have something to do, and adults too.

There is no feeling of relaxing at sea, the boredom is terrible. There is no music, no animation, you can leave the old name, the 17th party Congress. And yet, visiting local residents of the hotel and restaurants creates the impression of overpaying the cost of the holiday.

I'll start with a good one: the Empire style hotel is beautiful and interesting, all the Furniture in the Soviet style has been preserved, the hotel territory is very beautiful, fountains, various trees and plants, the sea is very close, the beach is private, there is a place to walk on the territory.. at the moment we are in the hotel, we live in the main building, the rooms are good, cleaning every day, there is a kettle in the room and all the accessories, the water is replenished every day, at these moments everything is 5+👌 at the reception, too, everything is ok Otherwise, everything is lame... on the beach yesterday I had to carry two sunbeds myself, although before that there were guys who helped with this🤦🏻♀️ There is no watching lifeguard on the beach and in the pool 👎 there is no recreation organization for children at all, at least in the evening you could come up with something 🤷🏻♀️ Coffee machines are always not working in the restaurant, because of this a large and long queue for coffee is formed, the morning starts with a negative, breakfast is normal, but lunch and dinner for 3, there is no brunch, for me personally this is a minus..there is a lobby bar, round the clock, the staff is friendly and the prices are normal. The pool is good, indoor, large.. maybe it's worth visiting here at least once for the sake of interest, but for such money, is it necessary? I don't want to come back here👎
