The airport is constantly being improved. The terminal is being completed now, but construction work is underway everywhere. The entire airport area was blocked and dug up. There are three hotels right at the airport. Scandic and Hilton are just a short walk away, GLO is right inside. There is a small grocery store at reasonable prices. It will definitely be better, but so far there is a lot of fuss, long-distance crossings and confusion with pointers.
A very smart and beautiful airport. We simply had nowhere to wait before registering. But it turned out that this was not even necessary. Just check in on your own, print your boarding pass in the vending machine, glue it on your suitcase. After that, go through and check the luggage yourself: scan the barcode, check the data, if everything is fine, then confirm, and the suitcase leaves. After that, go through the security check. After it, there is a huge and well-maintained, beautiful airport area with waiting areas, smoking rooms. But I advise you to go through passport control right away. It's even more beautiful after him.
Have a nice stay, everyone.
One of the best airports, in my opinion. It has everything you need - a sleeping area, a cafe, a large supermarket with adequate prices, a good business lounge, many passport control points without queues. It is located far from the city center, but it is very easy to get to it, trains and buses run very often and quickly.
Nice big airport. Cafes, restaurants, there are recumbent places. They evacuated from Spain, the Finns allowed transit. Hurray! That's just that we were immediately sent from the flight from Las Palmas to transit and to a clean zone, and I don't have a stamp that I left Schengen, only about crossing the Russian border. They said it was an emergency and everything was fine.
Great airport! It is small and therefore it is easy to move between terminals.
I also like that there are a lot of seats where you can lie down :) This is the only airport where I have seen SO MANY places not so much to sit as to lie down!!!
A very clear and well-maintained airport. Very good navigation. The toilets are clean, the birds are singing! There are a lot of cafes. A barrier-free environment has been created. A third terminal is currently under construction, so bus stops have been moved. With such a large-scale construction, there is no dirt.
The airport is small. It is not possible to get confused.
In the morning and until two o'clock...three at the airport is generally empty. Then the people appear.
I was flying with a transfer from Moscow to Los Angeles.
I used the priority pass in the business lounge. We had a good meal and rested.
When flying Fin Air on a Los Angeles - Helsinki flight, a few hours before arrival in Helsinki, you can watch the flight schedule for the transfer and the gate number of your flight on your "TV".
I initially had a transfer time of 1 hour and 10 minutes. I was worried if I would make it.
As it turned out, there were no problems. Firstly, the plane arrived half an hour earlier. As I looked later, they arrive like this every day.
Secondly, it is really possible to transfer in 5-7 minutes.
During the flight to Los Angeles, additional security checks had to be carried out. There was no such thing on the way back.
It's a great airport. We often fly through it. There are many self-service counters: I printed out a ticket, checked in, checked in my luggage.
The airport is neat and clean, I liked it
A huge airport, but very comfortable. There are many cafes with different, alas, not too low prices. You can even lie down while waiting for departure! And be sure to say goodbye to Mummy Troll in the Mummy Cafe...
The waiting room for domestic flights is average, the hall for international flights is much better, there are beds and rocking chairs, you can have a good time. Prices in stores are too high, water costs ~ 2.5 euros
A modern, convenient airport. However, it is very long due to the fact that it was built in stages. I also remember how the entire airport could be walked from end to end in 5 minutes. Now it takes 20-25 minutes. Keep this in mind when making transfers. And so everything is there at the airport, security control is well organized, and does not take much time. There are no queues at all.
Good old Vantaa... Simple, convenient, high-quality.
An airport where you feel positive, and not the desire to swear (as in St. Petersburg's Pulkovo).
The main drawback is the regular shortage of places in cheap paid long-term parking areas. However, now you can book a place on it in advance online.
I really love this airport.
1. There are minivans that are very convenient to have on hand during the waiting period!
2. Electronic border/customs clearance. No queues!
There are many cafes and restaurants. Sometimes it is necessary. Taxfree. But it's like at most airports that I use.
It is convenient to get there, from the center 30 minutes by electron. From the center of the train (we went in the evening, at night we need to look at the schedule), so the trains leave every 10 minutes. The prices in the duties are the same. There is a lot of LOUNGE: leather sofas. There are rocking chairs, wooden furniture and a sea of sockets around. The sea is real.
I really liked the airport. With a long transfer, it is convenient that there are many lounge areas. The only drawback is that shops and duty free do not work at night. They close at 23:30 and open only at 6:30-7 am.

We have been using Vantaa Airport for many years to travel around Europe and the world. In recent years, the range of countries to which Finnair aircraft fly has only been growing. A convenient location for residents of St. Petersburg, numerous parking lots at the airport and the goodwill of all employees leave no doubt about the correctness of choosing this airport.
If it is possible to plan a flight with a connection to Helsinki, I fly only this way. This airport is above all praise in terms of service and ease of navigation. No fuss, no queues. All the pointers are clear and extremely informative. I recommend it!
A large airport with flights to all corners of Europe and beyond. It is very convenient to get here from St. Petersburg by bus and fly from here.
There are a huge number of self-registration desks and practically no staff. Everything is intuitive and clear.
It is always very quiet and peaceful here. There are many cozy cafes. And the birds are singing in the toilets, even if it's an audio recording, but you're transported as if to nature.
Everything is convenient, fast and clear. It doesn't matter what language you speak. Excellent departure lounges. Upholstered chairs, couches, clean toilets, inexpensive food outlets. In general, one of the best and most convenient airports. The bus stop is made so that even a taxi is not needed. To the center of Helsinki 5.5 euros.
A very convenient airport. Taking care of people. There is everything for everyone. For both children and adults. There are good and not expensive cafes, unlike airports in Russia. There is a smoking room. There is a store with prices like in the city.
It's just GREAT.A huge airport. There are many shops, cafes, smoking rooms.Convenient information boards.Friendly staff.Everything is for people.Everything is very convenient.
The airport is large and modern, there is a lot of walking . From the central security control to the waiting area for boarding the plane. You need to come early , then you will have time to buy something .

It's big, but there's a lot of information. Modern inspection.
It's a good airport. It takes 4-6 hours to get from St. Petersburg, depending on day/night. Parking is not cheap, but there are promotions for long-term rentals. The airport itself is convenient, many flights are much cheaper than in the swamp called Pulkovo.
Moscow may be an alternative, but there is no less time and no cheaper.
