We had a couple of nights in March, an extremely good location in terms of price/quality. And after a couple of nights in Gagra, where they froze at night, there is an extremely warm room here, with an additional heater under the table that did not have to buzz the air conditioner.

I have been choosing a hotel for a long time to stay for the May holidays. And according to the reviews, I stopped at Abaash.
Of the advantages: this is, of course, the location!
Otherwise, the impression is twofold.
Yes, the breakfasts are not bad, but damn, paid water and juice! There is no such thing in any hotel!
The cleaning of the room ends with the garbage being thrown out of the trash can and that's it!

A European-level hotel. Everything is fine almost, except for one moment. It was thanks to him that I put 4. Excellent location, beautiful interior, everything is tastefully done, elevator, good staff. Everyone is pleasant, from the maids to the cook. By the way, the cook cooks delicious, especially dinners. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is just a gift. But... The mattresses on the beds are disgusting. It's like sleeping on the floor. My back hurts and I can forget about night rest. A question for the management. People have never complained about the quality of mattresses. Is it really impossible to buy at least decent double mattress pads?! So that people do not sleep like in the mountains, also with a step between two mattresses on a double bed. It's important. I've been there twice. I'm going to miss you. But I'm not ready to come in with my mattress)
We stayed at this hotel in September 2020, room 2006. The location is very convenient in the center of all attractions and excursions. The balcony was overlooking the central waterfall and the temple. In the evening, it was nice to sit at a table on the balcony or on the roof terrace of the hotel and admire the beautiful views. The hotel meets the European standard of service, room decoration, food - everything is at the highest level. Complete sound insulation of the rooms (the walls are finished with noise-absorbing materials, carpet everywhere). The menu is varied, there is a lot of meat and fresh vegetables and fruits. Local wines can also be purchased and tasted at the bar. Special thanks to the service staff at the reception, all requests and wishes were fulfilled promptly and heartily. We will come here more than once, we will advise and recommend to friends!!!

We went to this hotel last year and the experience was great, so this year we decided to go here as well. As it turned out, it was in vain.
The two most spoiled things in the hotel are the food and the staff.
First, about the food. It has become much more monotonous and worse than it was last year. Meat is always tough and with a lot of fat and oil. There are a lot of spices, fried zucchini with eggplant are always very peppery. Chicken, which is served for lunch and dinner, either wings or shanks. There was no white meat at all. And chicken has always had a lot of spices in it, too. One day, the chicken was fried until it was black. The fish was eaten several times and each time it was incredibly over-dried. Almost to blackness. Vegetables and salads are sluggish and not fresh. I took fresh tomatoes several times, and they were clearly already sour. Watermelons, which are laid out for every lunch and dinner, also felt sour a couple of times. As a result, my son and I got poisoned with these watermelons - he is at the beginning of the rest, and I am at the end.
The overall result of the food: the food is monotonous, not fresh, with a huge amount of spices, fat and vegetable oil. It is absolutely not suitable for people with poor digestion and for children.
Also, a few words about the washing area – the place where the dishes are washed. On the last day of my stay at the hotel, I happened to get to the car wash. In the cupboard where the plates are dried, a cloth was laid on the grill to prevent water from dripping into the pan. I do not know why, but the cloth was clearly not washed and in fact was a bacterial farm.
The dishes were also poorly washed – it was almost always possible to find dirty greasy plaque on them, remnants of dill in soup cups. And the tables, which were wiped after the visitors, clearly smelled like an unwashed rag.
At the end of the trip, the whole family was poisoned and we haven't eaten in the hotel restaurant for the last two days.
Now about the staff.
If last year there was a good manager at the hotel, who, it was obvious, managed the staff and built them, then this year the manager disappeared somewhere, and the staff began to live the way locals live – for themselves.
If they do something, they do it slowly and lazily. If you ask the maid to clean the room, she will clean badly and what she sees fit. Once it happened that she did not clean up completely and just went to another room, telling us: "New guests will come to that room at 14, it must be carefully cleaned, I did not have time." The hair from the shower drain was not cleaned during the two weeks that we were at the hotel. There was a heater under the table in case of cold weather – the legs of the heater had grown to the floor like cobwebs, no one had cleaned the web. The dishes in the room are of various sizes, there are no spoons. The double bed was made of two single beds – a normal practice. But there was a half-peeled packing film left on one of the beds, which immediately looked very sloppy.
The table in the room is very flimsy, with legs that have almost fallen off, one leg is almost broken at the coffee table, the legs are missing from the sofa, the paint on the table on the balcony has peeled off, no one has wiped the walls with a rag for three years, dust from horizontal surfaces above the maid's head has not been erased, apparently, for years - I, with my height, I noticed it right away.
In the beginning, we were given an extra bed for a child in the room – in fact, a cot with a mattress, but not the point. Sharp broken springs protruded from the mattress. It's good that I just tore the duvet cover on them, and not ripped my leg open.
The shower room is spacious, but also dirty. The towel rack is falling out of the wall, the ventilation is breathing heavily due to age-old dust, the shower drain is rotten, and rubber gaskets have been dug out of the shower head. Plus, there are ants that crawled out of the cracks between the tiles of the shower when there were a few drops of sweet body scrub left on the shelf. The hair dryer built into the wall does not work – there was a separate one nearby.
In general, the hotel would have left a great impression if the hotel staff had not been so lazy and would have taken care not only of themselves, but also of their hotel too.
One day I heard a girl at the reception telling one of the guests that their maid was not obliged to inform the administrator about the malfunctions of the hotel in the rooms, that guests should do it. It turns out that the guests also have to do their work for them.
I am writing all this, not to the fact that the hotel is dirty, but to the fact that it could be fixed and cleaned in a couple of days – there would be a desire.
We have never seen employees running at work or even moving fast. But many times we have seen how they enjoy sitting in the lobby of the first floor on their phones, watching TV, drinking coffee and, in principle, exist in a measured way, sometimes starting to do their job with a sigh.
The location of the hotel is beyond praise. Under the mountain itself, next to the monastery and the waterfall – you can say the most tourist point. The sea is 10 minutes away at a leisurely pace. I do not advise you to take rooms facing the sea – VERY loud music from the cafe every day until 11 pm.
Ratings: hotel – 4, location – 5, staff – 1, food – 1.
We chose the hotel because of the view and the expectation of good service. Apparently the season spoils everyone…
We stopped by with the children specifically at 14:10 to put the kids to bed right away. The room was ready only at 14:30. Instead of apologies from the staff, it sounded: "well, you're out of luck, pay for the room (with an advance payment of half the cost of the arrival time already made) and then we'll talk."
The view from the suite is indicated on the temple, but in fact on the unfinished building, power lines and substation 🙈

The best hotel of all, in which I had a chance to relax in Abkhazia! Excellent conditions, staff, food, every detail. Beautiful cozy spacious rooms, especially liked the carpet in the rooms, underfloor heating in the bathroom, snow-white towels, even for feet) The staff is attentive, punctual, competent. The food at the hotel is inexpensive and very tasty, large portions, varied. I'm thrilled! I had a vacation in February, the prices were lower than in other hotels and even lower than in guest houses. The administrator is super!!! The cook, the maids - everything is on top!!! The location is gorgeous, the very center of New Athos near the waterfall.the only thing is, if you don't like the noise (from the waterfall), ask for rooms with windows on the other side. Otherwise, except for the waterfall, everything is quiet))
Nice hotel. The food is a buffet, quite varied. There is a bar on the ground floor and an outdoor terrace on the 4th floor. The hotel offers a magnificent view of the waterfall (Psyrtskha hydroelectric power station), as well as some attractions are within walking distance. The staff is friendly. I rested 3 times and had no problems.
Yesterday we flew in from our beloved Abkhazia, stayed in this hotel for three nights and really liked the hotel, the staff from the administrators to the maids are pleasant, friendly and helpful people, the cuisine is very tasty, especially pleased that everything was eaten by a child of three years old and porridge in the morning and soup at lunch and cutlets for dinner. Why 4 stars? I really didn't like the mattresses on the bed and this is the only drawback. We will definitely come and recommend the hotel and Abkhazia as a whole to our friends. And yes, I completely forgot to mention the driver Arthur who met us at Adler airport and he delivered us there on time and without any problems, the hotel administrator offered him to us when we booked a room. But their condition is not monitored and over time they will deteriorate and become ordinary, shabby, there are chips on the walls, stains on furniture, it is not noticed by the staff. The hotel's policy does not include the concept of early check-in, it is paid and all guests are pickled until 14.00 if there are many available rooms. At the same time, the room was not habitable upon arrival, we were moved three times before we found a room with working air conditioning, a TV and a clean balcony. The buffet is not very varied, but the food is delicious. The finishing dishes are not updated, the chefs cannot make the correct calculation. The big disadvantage is that the hotel does not have its own beach area, no sun beds, umbrellas. The hotel does not have a territory either, but there are wonderful views of the waterfall.
An ideal location for off-season recreation, located at the very beginning of hiking trails, which allows you to move out in the morning in a deserted time. Magnificent modern design In the decoration of everything from the rooms to the reception and the bar. The panoramic windows are simply chic! The friendly and courteous staff is ready to meet your needs at any time. Romantic for a couple and comfortable for women. Breakfast meets the European standard + excellent pancakes.

Rested 2 years ago. Liked the location. New hotel, renovated. Underfloor heating. Delicious and varied food.
This year we booked a room in November, we are going here again.I hope nothing has changed, or only for the better 🤗
There are many little things to start with, the buffet is not big, the choice of food is also small, the food is often very spicy, cooked from leftovers that are not finished, who comes later may not be enough at all, alcohol is twice as expensive as outside the hotel, cleaned every day, the second part of the air conditioner stands on the balcony in the evening with a glass The wine doesn't stand up, it blows right in your face. And the most important thing is electricity, but it's not the hotel's fault, but I turn off the state 50 times a day and it's very annoying, but the hotel has a generator that saves if you turn it off for a long time. As it is, it's good there.
We came to rest for the second time.
For the first time in 2019, the hotel was just opened, everything was at the highest level!
For the second time in 2021 in November. There are two receptionists at the reception, one solves problems, the second one doesn't care about everything!
And so, we arrived, checked in at 22 o'clock, although there was a prepaid reservation, there was a second administrator, with the words "we have a check-in from 14 to 16 and tell us thank you that we will check you in later," with a sour expression on her face, issued a card from the room.
We got up, there was a problem with opening and closing the door, went down, asked to solve the problem, someone from the staff went up to the room, looked, promised to solve it the next day.
On the second day, the receptionist changed, they approached him, immediately moved him to another room.
We took full board, on the third day we began to serve a buffet mixed with the rest from the previous day. The cherry in the cake was a buffet I do not remember on what day, the rice was with a "smell" (whoever cooks will understand, and if you do not know, then I will tell you, in the evening they cooked and did not put the rice in the refrigerator in the evening, the next evening it will already stink powerfully).
Probably the last time we came to this hotel, as the service is deteriorating, but I want only positive impressions to remain!

Great place! Helpful staff! Everyone is always friendly! The rooms are clean and cozy! We had it cleaned every day. The food is simply amazing: for every taste and color! I am sure that there will be dissatisfied, because I personally watched how some villagers filled their plates and were dissatisfied with something else! In my opinion, this is just a super hotel! I had a suite and a week's rest in it cost me several thousand less than a week's rest in a Soviet-style hotel in the Leningrad region. In general, I am delighted with the rest and I recommend this place to everyone! The hotel itself is on a mountain, near a monastery, an abandoned station, a waterfall, Stalin's dacha, a hydroelectric power station and other places where tourists are taken, and there is no need to go, I left the hotel and everything is nearby. It takes no more than 5 minutes to get to the sea in a straight line, you can go through the park with swans! Beauty, in a word!!!

We were in Abash from 05.27 to 06.01.2021. The deluxe room. Accommodation for 3 adults.
The hotel left a good impression of itself, despite some nuances that I would like to attribute to the cons.
We liked both the design of the hotel and the location. Very good breakfasts with proper organization of the space. It's clean enough. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful.
The disadvantages that I would like the hotel administration to fix, I will still voice.
1. Terrible mattresses. I couldn't get enough sleep for 5 nights. It felt like I had to sleep on a naked sunbed. We returned home with sore backs.
2. The presence of ants in the room.
Preferably, during the cleaning of the rooms, they should still be destroyed, at least with some soft aerosols.
I understand that the place where the hotel is located is teeming with a variety of wildlife and it eventually appears in the rooms. But nothing prevents you from making sure that there are no more animals.
Otherwise, everything is fine.
I want to wish the hotel longevity. So that they can preserve their individuality. In all of New Athos, this is still the most decent accommodation. We have been to Mount Athos many times and, believe me, there is something to compare it with. We plan to return again.

I liked everything very much, the staff is very friendly, the room is comfortable, the kitchen is excellent (like at home).
We rested from 08/18/2019-08/27/2019, deluxe room. The room is clean and perfect! The eye is happy about everything. The hotel administration is just great, special thanks to Vasily and Arthur, wonderful guys who will help with any issue. The food was taken buffet style, the best choice and sooo delicious!!!! I bow low to the chefs. 7 minutes to the sea through a beautiful avenue of cypresses and a park with ponds and swans))) This is the most beautiful city with wonderful people and of course the hotel is super!
I stayed at this hotel for two years in a row in September. If last year, even in advance, I rated the hotel at 10 points at the Booking, then this year everything is very sad. The staff has completely changed over the year and this has affected almost everything. The quality of the kitchen has dropped very sharply. The room has not been cleaned once in two weeks. They just took out the trash. The staff is absolutely untrained, starting from the girl at the reception and up to the cleaners. They behave like hosts to whom uninvited guests have arrived. It is a pity that such a nice hotel has changed so dramatically for the worse.

I would like to share my impressions of staying at this hotel. I hope my review will help many people understand what awaits them, and the managers of this hotel will work on the mistakes.
We had a family vacation with a baby for 10 months in early October 2021.
1. I'll start with the number.
Deluxe room 3008. There is an ill-conceived wardrobe in the room, in which there are no shelves to put things out. Only a compartment for things on a hanger, an upper high shelf and a lower one for shoes. They didn't think it through.
Next, the most important thing is a bed for adults and a cot for a baby. It's just terrible!!! I have never seen such terrible mattresses anywhere. They are made of stone, and it is terribly uncomfortable to sleep on them. Huge springs are being felt inside. Pillows are also very uncomfortable. They are small, it is impossible to sleep. Next, a cot is a separate horror. Whoever decided to buy such beds would put himself in one and have him sleep there at least one night. This is not a crib, but a playpen, at the bottom of which it is proposed to put the baby. Keep this in mind for those who travel to this hotel with small children. The owner of the hotel, please urgently change the mattresses for adults and get rid of such cots.
2. Kitchen
The food is a bit monotonous, but in general, thanks a lot to the team of chefs for the delicious food and attention. But with the guys in the hall, we need to do some work. The dining area is very poorly cleaned, in particular high chairs and the floor. The high chairs are all dirty until you ask them to wipe them. The floor is rarely swept.
The hotel itself is located in the most convenient location, close to all major attractions, but 10-15 minutes walk from the sea. The hotel is very good by Abkhazian standards.
A wonderful hotel, probably the best in New Athos. The rooms are spacious, the furniture is new, comfortable, elegant flooring, as well as wonderful bathrobes, towels and slippers. The staff is friendly. The breakfasts are European, the restaurant is beautiful. And most importantly, a great location.
A great modern hotel! Wonderful staff! There are very few hotels of this level in Abkhazia! The food can be varied a little. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, perfect mattresses and pillows, minimal audibility, despite the very noisy atmosphere around! At 23:00, all establishments mute the sound, and it's great! Absolutely all the sights are within walking distance!
