The church of the XII century. The spirit of the time lives in the walls of the building. The temple will be of interest to both believers and ordinary people interested in the history of the country. The church was built for monks, for this reason you will not see the characteristic murals on the walls inside. The decoration of the temple is very modest. In the interior, clay vessels built into the walls are of particular value - "voice boxes" that improve acoustics. There is an embroidered copy of the Kolozha icon of the Mother of God in the church, like the original, it is considered miraculous. A place with a very subtle energy. Among the numerous temples of Belarus, the Kolozha Church is distinguished by a special atmosphere, pure emotions and awe.

This is a temple from the same era as the legendary Church of the Intercession on the Nerl in Vladimir. It is worth visiting to get into the spirit of that era, pre-Mongol Russia. I lower the score for the disgusting road to the temple by car, it is difficult to drive and you can get confused, it is very bad that the city administration will not make a normal paved road to the attraction in any way. There is also a viewing platform on the river, another plus to visit this place

A quiet, cozy place, I really like to sit early in the summer morning just above the church and just enjoy the privacy and the view. An atmosphere of calm and balance. There are three churches of this type in Belarus. This was told at the Museum of Culture and Religion in Grodno. They are located in Grodno, Turov (only the foundation has been preserved, but it is located under a glass dome and services are even held there), Polotsk (the church of Euphrasinia of Polotsk, where you can see frescoes from the time of the saint's life).
The church is very cold both in winter and summer.
Of the architectural elements, you can pay attention to the holes in the wall. I always thought that these were holes for scaffolding, during the construction of a building, and this is such a pottery - a voice box built into the wall to improve acoustics, and also signs on the bricks in the form of a fish, a key.
It is absolutely necessary to visit this church.
