An atmospheric place with an ideal location in the historical center of the city for short stops and for lovers of night parties. The rooms are three-star, but there is everything you need. The minus is huge - the noise from the street, you won't get enough sleep at night. In fact, there are no breakfasts. There is no point in buying a voucher for 300 rubles. for breakfast at the Vershina restaurant, because you will still have to pay extra. And the restaurant is open from 09.00, and not from 07.00 as stated.
The hotel is not for those who are used to European comfort and high service. However, the location of the hotel more than overcomes all its disadvantages.

But the rooms, of course, are already a complete disaster, the springs from the mattress just dig into the body, there is no central lighting in one of the rooms, only a floor lamp. The carpet on the floor is already frankly scary and dirty. There are no slippers, and there is also a remote control from the second air conditioner. It was not possible to sort out the telecom, no one came to the request for help. The hotel is suitable only in the format of a one-time overnight stay, there is, alas, no comfort here, and the price tag is dashing. It's really a pity, because this place may just be the pearl of the city, but there is some kind of decay and desolation in the entire hotel.

We took a two-room suite, not everything was checked during the inspection, it seems that the first impression is normal.
Positive:
High ceilings with a large chandelier.
A huge bed that can fit in the fourth.
Wide corridors with carpets, a large beautiful foyer that eclipsed the eyes when examining the rooms.
It is located in the center, but it turned out to be a disadvantage.
Minuses:
The mattress on the sofa where we put the children is the most terrible! Rigid springs dig into the sides.
They asked us to do something, they put a blanket on the mattress, but it didn't save the situation much.
Windows - no sound insulation. And here it is necessary, because there is a cafe nearby and drunken guests are screaming all night. There are no curtains, only tulle. It is impossible to sleep.
It is very difficult to close the door to the balcony.
The bidet is in the shower, and the toilet is at the other end of the room.
The carpet is terribly worn.
We did not find the remote control for the second air conditioner.

Dear connoisseurs of comfort, service and convenience, Abkhazia is not about that. Abkhazia is about nature and beauty in the eyes of the beholder.
Brekhalovka is one of the most legendary places in Sukhum. And this hotel is a reminder of something beautiful and majestic from the past. Staying in such a location is already a gift, an evening promenade along the embankment, charming sunrises on the balcony and a sound sleep of a baby in clean blankets. A room with 2 rooms is a godsend for parents with children. Everything was very decent, we enjoyed it. On-site parking, separate exit. Breakfast with a view of the embankment and wonderful coffee on the sand.

One of the advantages is a beautiful view. That's it!!!! The lack of service is absolute. First. What struck me was the placement. On the third floor, there are suites, there is no elevator, no one helped to lift the luggage. . The balcony doors do not close in the rooms. It's noisy outside until 3 a.m. There are no night curtains, only tulle, so you won't be able to sleep comfortably, if at all. What struck me is that the bidet is located in one room (in the bedroom) of the bathroom, and the toilet is at the other end of the room)))) I didn't understand the point..... the telephone for communication with the staff is located in the (!) TOILET. The walls are painted partly with curtains, partly with platbands))) I would understand such conditions in a roadside motel, for 1500-2000.... The locks in the toilet are broken!!!! Not just broken, but torn out with part of the door...... those toilet doors are always open.

Never ever stay here in rooms with access to the bar. In front of the RUINS bar, where the locals are yelling drunk until morning, cars drive up and music turns on. I don't know what silence is after 11 and respect here at all. But thanks to the administrators - Olya and another girl in the night, I was moved to a room where it is quiet, but the category is higher. In general, about the hotel: it has been since 1914, and the furniture is probably the same, and the curtains, which I even like. Everything is old, but clean and tidy. A very comfortable soft mattress. A normally adjustable shower with hot water. The location is super convenient.

The towels are gray (as in Soviet-style trains), the three-fold closet has only two doors, and the promised view from the window to the sea is a "hole in the well" with 2/3 of the space occupied by the ROOF!!! The location of the hotel is excellent, near the sea, the embankment, a lot of cafes / restaurants. The only thing is, there is no normal grocery store nearby, but it doesn't matter, you can walk.
We lived in an ordinary standard room with a view of the fountain, without a balcony. The fountain is noisy, but it doesn't bother us very much, we are used to it.
The room itself is simple, small, the furniture is good, high-quality, the interior is expensive, but tired.
The room has a mini-bar in the refrigerator with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, the prices are adequate. Also from the amenities in the room there is a hairdryer, a corkscrew, dishes (glasses, glasses), soap and soap accessories.
We did not have enough kettle in the room to drink tea/coffee in the evening in the room and did not bring regular drinking water, we bought it ourselves.
Another disadvantage is that there is no ventilation in the toilet, windows / doors were opened wide to ventilate.
Breakfasts were held in the Vershina restaurant on the ground floor, where you can go down without leaving the hotel. They were included in the price and the limit for two people was 600 rubles (300 rubles per person is obtained), if you go beyond this amount, then you just pay extra. The prices in this institution for breakfast are low , the portions are large, a good selection of dishes, everything is very tasty and satisfying. I would come here for breakfast even if I didn't live in this hotel.
In general, we liked the hotel, we would come back here again, only to another room, a bigger one.

Plus-the location and the suite has a good view from the window + a lot of TV channels (but the TV itself is small).
Cons-there is no elevator, there is no water in the suite, there are no slippers, cheap cosmetics (and if you open the soap, then you need to buy a soap dish, otherwise there is nowhere to put it), a creaky bed, worn pillows, no curtains in the living room and you will not sleep in a dark room, a lot of repair flaws (everything is shabby, dusty and worn). They do not accept cards, they ask for prepayment. The staff is not focused on helping the guest and making the rest pleasant.
For the sake of objectivity, it is worth saying that, perhaps, this is one of the best places for Sukhumi.

One of the most expensive hotels in the city. Lived in September 2023. No one has invested in the room fund for a long time. The carpet is stained. The curtains are lowered from the hinges, the window cannot be opened, because at night mosquitoes fly in due to the proximity of the fountain. Check-in is strictly on time, they offered to walk for an hour along the embankment, although the way to Sukhum is not close.. Administrators with indifferent faces explained that they were obliged to post, and not smile at everyone.. Among the advantages of the establishment: the location of the hotel, conveniently located on the embankment, the Internet worked briskly and regularly, television broadcast on numerous channels, the mini-bar was filled optimally. Cups and a kettle were provided, towels were changed every day.

A pretty nice hotel with a good location. Near the embankment, the famous Brekhalovka, cafes and shops. They are populated strictly on time, even if the load is not high. The rooms have an inexpensive minibar.
Plus a pretty good room service with food delivery from the cafe downstairs.
We didn't take breakfast, so I won't say anything.
One of the disadvantages is the order of "tired" rooms. We lived in a suite, but the room had a worn cloth on the furniture, damaged carpet, cracked doors, a bunch of extension cords instead of normal electrical wiring.
The hotel has paid parking (200 rubles per day), but to get to it, you need to go to the reception and ask the guard to open the gate. Why it is impossible to install a camera and an electric gate drive is a mystery.
The parking lot itself is just a playground covered with rubble.
In general, a good and inexpensive hotel for those who care about location, but I do not advise you to expect miracles from it)

I stayed in December 2021 in a room overlooking Leon Avenue. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, I can't say anything. The room is clean, there is a hairdryer and everything you need for a shower, terry bathrobes. A comfortable wide bed. There is a mini bar in the room with normal prices.

I chose a room on the "Improved Standard" website for 6.5 thousand rubles per day (July 2022).
Positive:
- location (near the embankment)
- there is wi-fi (movies are pulled at min.quality)
- breakfast is included in the price (300 rubles/person, if you do not have time for breakfast, you can arrange with the restaurant and eat in the evening)
Cons:
- the room smelled bad. The toilet smelled even worse.
- the furniture is old, the closet in the hallway is jammed and the sash did not close. The headboard of the bed was moving, the bed was wobbling. The mattress is the cheapest, spring-loaded, the springs dig into the back
- the walls are stained
- sockets are falling apart, it's scary to plug devices into them, no matter how short-circuited. Some of the outlets are no longer working. At the same time, there are not enough sockets in the room, and there were as many as 3 in the bathroom. (2 sockets right by the mirror-why two?)
- bedside lamps: one lamp did not work, there was no light bulb in it. I unscrewed a light bulb from another lamp - it did not work. Plugged in the other outlet - it did not work. The sockets behind the bed didn't work either.
- there is a switch for general light on the wall in the room, while there is no chandelier on the ceiling. I.e. a switch for beauty
- The Windows faced the fountain, during the day the noise from the fountain and people in the evening, instead of the hubbub of people, the croaking of frogs
- a homegrown repair was made in the bathroom, causes tears and emotion (my grandfather did repairs back in the USSR) - photo
- a girl with a very sad face was checking in at the reception. I understood her sadness when I entered the room
- they take a 100% prepayment (it's clear why, I would have checked out on the first day)

We sent our regular tourists to this hotel, I publish a review from their words and at their request:
The hotel is conveniently located in the very center, in a beautiful part of the embankment. Unfortunately, the advantages end there.
Disadvantages: the hotel is old, mentally and physically; old creaky beds; mattresses are wider than the bed, hanging down; springs bulge. The bathroom is old: cramped, the water is cold, it flows on the floor, the watering can barely holds on to some piece of wood

The most unpleasant thing: misinformation from the tour operator Biblioglobus. The hotel is sold only with breakfast, the description only stated that breakfast takes place in a nearby restaurant, no other nuances were specified, the information was checked at the time of booking and at the time of writing the claim to Biblioglobus.
On the spot, it turned out that breakfast is included only within the amount of 300 rubles per person, while the prices are restaurant prices, 300 rubles do not even fit two pancakes and coffee! Despite the fact that the institution positions itself as a restaurant, the food is tasteless, the pancakes are frozen! There is no bread, butter, cheese, only dishes on the menu. At the same time, you cannot buy a hotel without breakfast, tourists are tied to this restaurant by the presence of breakfast, where they have to pay extra to eat!
Contacting the reception did not give any results, did not contribute to improving conditions, did not even sympathize. The tour operator Biblioglobus checked after the claim and simply corrected the description on the website - added an item about 300 rubles / person
Tourists have been vacationing in Sukhum for the fifth time, and this is their fifth hotel, and the most unsuccessful in terms of a combination of factors! We do not recommend the hotel, for the same price you can choose a more decent option, even in the very center!

The hotel is for unassuming tourists. It was important to me that this is a historical building, except famous, interesting people stayed in it. The staff is very polite, responsive, kind-hearted, like all Abkhazians. Where else at 3* you will have towels changed every day... Of course, some repairs are needed, but the location is gorgeous! The photo shows the view from the balcony. The hotel has 22 rooms, all with a beautiful view! Of course, if you only need a beach holiday, then it's a little inconvenient. But we went to Mocha beach without any problems, you can walk to the right of the hotel for 15 minutes to the pebble beach Lighthouse.Again, there is no elevator, but it didn't hurt us. In short, the rest in Ritsa was a success, thanks a lot to Abkhazia!!

Well, I 've seen negative reviews , but I still decided because of the location and architecture of the building .
Disappointment overtakes you as soon as you leave the hall , he is probably the only one left in a normal state .Then there is a continuous horror with a nightmare, starting from the stripped ceilings and walls in the corridors, to the creaking parquet, under the paths. It seems that the hotel is just living out its existence , it is clear that nothing has been done in it for a long time . The towels are washed , the mattress is old , there is a crown on the windows, and office blinds .I don 't want to be in the room at all , I want to run away from there .
Dressing gowns were , in summer , however , not relevant , hygiene supplies for 1 piece per day .
I'm not picky, but it's such a disappointment.
I do not recommend this hotel , from the word at all .
About the sea , it is 50 meters away , but the sea is not for swimming , it is the center of the city
To the beach of MVO (galko ) 45 minutes on foot , to Mocha it is better by transport .
