The food is top notch! Everything was cooked superbly. A large selection of appetizers, main courses and desserts. The hall is cozy, the music is not loud and you can communicate freely, and not shout over the musical accompaniment.

The service is at 0. We are sitting right now in the restaurant and no one comes up for more than 20 minutes, they do not accept the order. There are 3 tables occupied in the hall! Most are free!!! Just a complete disregard. There are more waiters than there are customers in the hall. 07/21/24. Time of writing 22:27.
I was here last year and I liked everything. This year is just a complete failure. I want to emphasize the fact that this institution calls itself a restaurant! The prices are Moscow (I live in Moscow myself and I know what I'm saying). Deep Province level service! The waiters walk around with unhappy faces. Do you know, dear ones, if you call yourself a restaurant and put high prices on the menu, then you need to match all parameters! Russian tourists travel with money, which is how your business lives. Have a conscience and respect for us and teach your staff how to work and what customer orientation is.

Nice hotel. Everything is beautiful there and there is a bar by the sea. The hotel's European cuisine restaurant is the best on the coast. Both the service and the kitchen are excellent. The location of the hotel is also very good. There are historical sites and beautiful nature nearby.
But there are also moments that shake. Monstrous audibility in the rooms. The beach bar has an eternal problem with the building and with the supply. On Monday, there were practically no popular food and alcohol items. One of the receptionists, to put it mildly, is rude.
Well, the price... Overstated.
In terms of importance, the benefits are inferior to the advantages, so the rest was a success.

The breakfast buffet at 500 rubles per person is just a fire. Yes, it's the same every morning, only watermelons and melon from fruits on September 23, but the price of breakfast is fully adequate to the offer (porridge, omelette, pancakes, cheesecakes from the main meal, salads). I think we still need to look for similar breakfasts in Gagra. We had dinner in the evening - filet mignon with sauce and asparagus was incomparable, not everywhere in Russia they cook like that, and even live music. We have been to the Pier, the Tea House and the Abaat, we have not been to Gagripsha, I can say if you live in the area of the restaurants of the Tea House and the Abaat, these will be the best options, each is good in its own way.

Oh, this is incomparable with anything , we rested in Tsanripsha at the Basalt hotel , food for three , cold pancakes with carrot jam in the morning, chicken soup with a piece of skin at lunch, I didn 't want to order dinner anymore , so we went to Abaata , chef Andre Martin goes out to the guests , gets acquainted, asks if you liked the kitchen , it turned out that he worked in our city of Nizhny Novgorod, he was very happy about it, and so we began to go to dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The desserts are just great, lamb , fish , meat, I can't even advise what to take, just name any dish and it will be excellent.

Abaata was very disappointed. We were in 2020, in 2022, and today 11.11.2023. How much did you like it in previous visits that you decided to stop by specifically. Don't repeat our mistake, everything is very spoiled. The menu is expensive, the food is absolutely not of the restaurant level at such prices. Ordered Ramen - dear Abaata, why include in the menu a dish that you do not know how to cook? Absolutely salty broth in which soy sauce was poured, a little noodles are floating in it, half an egg and two thin slices of beef. This is not ramen. This is a noodle soup in which the sauce was poured to a state of absolute inedibility. Besides, it's warm, not hot. My husband had chicken noodle soup, quite ordinary, a small portion, a little chicken noodles, a couple of pieces. Such a canteen can be much cheaper to eat. Focacho tortilla is delicious, yes, coffee is normal. They don't take the card, that you have to go to the main hall to pay, there they will dictate the card number to you. The waitress herself did not come to the table with this number. In general, you will not find anything special and delicious for a beautiful serving and high prices, we were disappointed and we certainly will not stop by again.

We didn't live in the hotel, but we visited the restaurant. Excellent breakfasts for 500rubles (buffet). And in general, the menu for lunch and dinner is very decent for Abkhazia.

Crispy eggplant- the crunch is only written on the menu, aggravated by serving in a deep dish: not a salad, but a saute with eggplant. Desserts: fondue and cannoli- no complaints. The partially polite staff guides you to a table with a cozy environment. A large selection of dishes, including sushi, at prices in Moscow, and sometimes even higher. They are not served quickly, although there are few people in the rain. Portions do not correspond to the weight of the word at all! And the main Abkhazian highlight is not to bring the change completely. That is, 40-50-60 rubles is not money, they simply do not bring them in the calculation. In any canteen, they give away 2 rubles, but here in the RESTAURANT they do not consider it necessary. There were two times and two times without changing coins. Shame on you!

We are having a rest in Staraya Gagra. There is not a very large selection of cafes and restaurants here. There is an Abaat restaurant or cafe on our way to the sea.
I do not advise Russian tourists to go there at all.
First of all, they serve Abkhazians.
That is, if you came, and then the locals, then they will be served first, and then they will come to you.
The dishes are cooked for a long time, the approximate waiting time is 45 minutes. The prices are high. Lunch for two without salad, but with alcohol 3-4 thousand rubles.
There are no complaints about the quality of the food.

During the rest we visited this place twice, with exactly the opposite impressions. The first time I liked almost everything, even the slightly burnt khachapur. The lamb is not bad (not bad, but still), very tasty homemade lemonade.
The second time was very unsuccessful. There was no lemonade that we liked, they offered a "delicious substitute" in the form of watermelon / mint (a strange combination), they could not drink, although the weather was hot, it was absolutely not tasty. I really wanted pasta, so I made a mistake. The pasta with salmon was so-so, it didn't go in, and my ravioli with spinach and ricotta were more like half-dumplings floating in milk soup…There was no smell of ricotta, and I can't stand the smell of clotted cream. In my opinion, the cook did not quite understand the task. Sauces for creamy pasta are very complex, it's not a splash of milk / cream and go ahead. Balance is important. Of course, the main conclusion is that you should not take dishes that the restaurant/ region does not specialize in. Here you need to take meat, grilled cheese, khachapur. Pasta is clearly not their thing.…And then - there was a salad of vegetables with fragrant oil on the menu, which was not specified, so they clarified whether it was sunflower. They said yes, but they brought it with olive oil. I love olive oil, but not in combination with cucumbers. It's not such a problem, but everything is somehow past.
The restaurant is decorated very comfortably and nicely, the waiters are polite.
In general, I hope that other visitors will be more successful.

We ordered hot, salad and a set of pickles. First they brought a salad with roast beef, more like just lettuce leaves, some fried meat and cheese on top. They did not understand, they waited further.
They brought baked meat with vegetables. A huge bone, little meat, but overall it was delicious.
After that, pickles were brought, there is no bamboo. When ordering, they asked specifically if there was bamboo, we were told "yes, of course". When asked "where?" they replied that it was over. They have already started to get upset.
They bring fish with mashed potatoes, mashed potatoes with pieces of potatoes, more like some kind of sauce. There are two black hairs in the fish, baked together with the fish. The fish with a side dish cost more than a thousand rubles.

The only, but not unimportant point...service...if it's just the two of you, you need to place an order within a couple of minutes...if you want to study the menu a little longer, then sit as long as you want...The staff is no longer interested in you...if you are alone, you run the risk of making an order and waiting for an order for half an hour / hour...you are not interesting...You are not a company of 6/8/10 people...You can't charge a special check...it kills the whole mood and the entourage does not help in any way. We have been to this restaurant twice. Everything was great: from the service to the delicious food. BUT on 28.08.23 we went for the third time, hoping to get the same impressions-in vain. Since today, 08/29/23, I have been lying in my room all day with food poisoning. I took ravioli with spinach from the food, and my husband took ramen and julienne from seafood. My husband feels fine, but I've been vomiting all day. Before the meal, there was a home-cooked meal in this restaurant in the morning (at 10 a.m.). The next meal was at this restaurant at 7 p.m.
