One of the most beautiful places in Abkhazia! In general, New Athos is the most beautiful whole! And the station is impressive!!! If you go further, there is a waterfall, and on the square there is the largest and cheapest souvenir shop!!! We were in Chernihiv, I liked the 1500 earrings and the 2000 bracelet made of an alloy of nickel silver and silver with turquoise, I bought it, and in New Athos - 300 and 400!!!!!!! They're exactly the same in that store!!!! Was I upset- that's not the word! I love New Athos!!!

I liked the place, it's beautiful. While repairs are underway, the railway station is being restored. There is also a pond, a small waterfall, you can go down, go to the museum, just walk around. The place is a credit.

I have not been to the museum and the church, which are located on the territory of the park, but even just walking around those places is a great pleasure! A very picturesque place: an abandoned railway station, a tunnel overgrown with tropical plants, a pond where glass-bottomed boats float and an artificial waterfall. In the cozy cafe near the church you can enjoy this beautiful view. It is very interesting that the cafes in the district do not have a toilet, since this is a nature reserve and we were offered to wash our hands in the spring.

It was very unexpected to see the train, the railway is now functioning.
I recommend walking along the Simon Canonite trail (adult ticket 200 rubles), the trail is uphill, the ascents are equipped.

Psyrtskhinsky Nature Reserve is a unique place where nature and man exist in harmony. Located in the picturesque mountains of the Caucasus, this nature reserve impresses with its natural diversity and beautiful landscapes. Quad biking at Quadro Pedro was a pleasant addition to the tour.

Restoration is currently underway on the platform - the famous cafe is being restored. The place is remarkable - a good view of the lake, the beginning of the path to the cell of Simon the Canonite. The platform begins and ends with the entrance to the tunnel. If you catch a train passing by the platform, it's an epic sight. I recommend it!

A beautiful place. It is above the waterfall, on the bank of an overgrown river, where people go boating. An open area between two tunnels and a railway station pavilion. Beautiful, delicate, flying, in the pre-revolutionary style. Cast-iron embankment parapet, cast-iron benches. That's how you see high society here and ladies in huge hats. Of course, now it is so neglected and abandoned. But in August 2023, repairs were underway. To be honest, I don't even know if such a repair is for the best. After all, restoration of historical value is needed here, and not just smeared with paint. The path to the grotto of Simon the Canonite begins nearby. Very beautiful nature, mountain river, rocks, lush vegetation. It's uphill to the grotto, there are a lot of stairs. There are places to relax and to swim in the icy water. Take drinking water with you. Comfortable shoes are mandatory. There is an Orthodox church in the grotto, there is a service, you can write notes and put candles. There are handkerchiefs at the entrance for women who have not brought their own. There are a lot of people in August, excursion groups. Entrance to the trail is paid, the waterfall and the platform are free.
