An abandoned station, repairs began in July 2023. It is necessary to keep in mind the rather high humidity. The tiles are damp and quite slippery. But the beauty is worth it. There is a transparent kayak rental near the station.
It is rare to find growing palm trees and tunnels overgrown with foliage at an operating railway station, the beauty is indescribable, I have been to Abkhazia 5 times and 3 times at this station. Abkhazia is my love!
I put five stars first of all for the fact that they finally took up the station and began to restore it. The place is very beautiful. When the reservoir is ennobled and cleaned, it will be even better.
An authentic building that allows you to plunge into history. Maybe it makes sense for the administration to clean greetings from tourists on the walls, but in general, there is an interesting place, it makes sense to go for a walk.
Most of those who have visited Abkhazia have these photos. If you walk around the city, it is very convenient to visit, because there is a beautiful, small hydroelectric power station and an ancient temple nearby.
It is a very beautiful place, near the entrance to the gorge. The platform itself, like all other platforms and stations, is a monument of Soviet architecture. And moreover, it is precisely that monument, which has almost collapsed and which no one cares for.
It's a pleasure to come to this station every time and take pictures again. Nearby, a beautiful dam turns into an artificial waterfall from a mountain river.
When you go to Abkhazia, get ready to see devastation and desolation in many places, but they are slowly making repairs, putting everything in order. I am sure that in Soviet times, it was the richest republic.
Incredibly beautiful, non-operating railway station. But the trains pass through here, because the branch line is active.
The train leaves, at this point, from the tunnel and enters it.
It is a very beautiful and atmospheric place, although it is in a neglected state. The station seems to hang over the river flowing below. On both sides of the station there are tunnels in the mountains from which passing trains leave.
It's so beautiful!!!I would like to restore it!A steam locomotive is driving! It's fascinating in the morning in the fog...It is incomparable...I want to start the walk from the Simon Kananita Gorge, then the station, then the waterfall.
It's a beautiful place, but when we were there, the station itself was closed. So it didn't work out to look at the mosaic on the floor.
But nature is just super. It's breathtaking to imagine that in this place during the Soviet era!
A very interesting and textured place. The atmosphere is cool.. It's worth a look. There's also a waterfall near her. It seems like a train will jump out right now
Well, what to wait for ... an abandoned, unused place ... it was done conscientiously at the time ... no one is looking.. no one needs..
As obteki for photo 5, as infrastructure 1

A great tourist place to visit with family and alone. Unfortunately, the platform is beginning to be restored and its surroundings are being lost because of this.
A place that can be found in almost all photos of people who have visited Abkhazia. Restoration is currently underway, plastering and tinting the columns and facade.
The beauty of nature and architecture is perceived as one - it is a pity that it is in an abandoned state .The Moscow - Sukhum train passes through here. We are waiting for swallows from Sochi.
An interesting place. Even unusual. It looks like a fairy tale. It's like a steam locomotive is about to come out of the tunnel and take you back to the past. There is a lake below with clear mountain water and huge trout.
An atmospheric place. The platform is being repaired. Well, I think this renovation will last for several years ahead. A place to take pictures. Well, all this is the Soviet Union, I didn't see anything new there.
A fascinating and very beautiful place in Abkhazia, the nature is very beautiful, next to the station there is an entrance to the tourist route to the grotto of Simon the Canonite.
