It's a nice place, quite tasty. By local standards, it's not cheap. We liked it. One disadvantage is live music. A local musician plays many instruments and is desperately out of tune on all of them) this does not spoil the impression at all, it even adds charm))
Excellent restaurant located in the UNESCO Heritage building (former Pushkin Library)
There is an opportunity to sit outdoors under the shade of trees. And when it's cold, they offer blankets.
The service is excellent.
Everything I've tried is delicious.
I recommend you to visit.
A very good restaurant - I recommend taking chops with mushrooms. Just blow your head off.
But the service is very slow. After the restaurant, you definitely shouldn't plan anything.
a good interior, a good kitchen, a good atmosphere, it's good at the expense of service, but as soon as the waiters see each other, they start yelling, shouting and swearing somehow not nice, and also at the expense of prices they are terribly huge just to have a snack you leave half of your wallet there, the owner should think about the prices, otherwise he scares most people
It's a good restaurant, we've been in a couple of times. The service is courteous and fast. There are also very expensive dishes. What we ordered was delicious. Samsa, fried dumplings, giz, vegetable salad.
The best of all visited in Samarkand. I will mark the library hall separately. All tourists here. The service, the kitchen, the interior are very decent.
The service is good, the staff is friendly, but - as everywhere in Uzbekistan, the interior is interesting, decent, not parochial, an application for a "level"; there are many tourists from different countries. The kitchen itself, unfortunately, was not at all impressed. If you are tired of authenticity and want a Europeanized atmosphere, you are welcome here.
The food is delicious, the interior is pleasant, the prices are reasonable. But service is something. Okay, the speed is very slow, but there is simply not a single employee in the hall who can be called, and when the waiter appears (brings others an order, for example), to attract his attention is still a task. In general, you can go if you have a good supply of time and you are not too hungry)
It's a very interesting place. Delicious dishes. The price tag is a little too high. The interiors are beautiful. The waiters are friendly. We decided to come the next day. But... I was amazed that the next day we received yesterday's (!!!) dish. Cooked yesterday. It was just warmed up and brought. That is, in the evening we ordered a cauldron kebab: delicious, excellent potatoes, incomparable meat... And at lunch (at 12.30) we received the same Kazan kebab left over from the evening...With withered potatoes and a few pieces of dried meat. I think that this is not acceptable for an institution of this level.
We arrived in Samarkand with a group of tourists and chose this restaurant according to a high rating in Yandex, but there was no limit to disappointment: the menu was not enough for everyone, we waited for thirty minutes until by transferring several menus we were able to make a choice of dishes, but that was not the end, the waiter accepted the order for the main dishes and we asked him to bring us drinks ...we received the drinks half an hour after ordering and they were served with an interval of tens of minutes, some members of our group were lucky enough to receive the main dishes after an hour and a half, some did not receive them at all ... we asked the administrator to somehow speed up the process of issuing dishes, but alas she ignored us. The rating of this institution at 4.9 is overestimated, people work incompetently, they have a bunch of waiters and one terminal through which they create an order, they stand in line to create an order! It's just absurd! Ridiculous place! One star - you are superfluous in the market of restaurateurs!
Very tasty. They bake the tortillas themselves! Hot and crispy bread is probably the most delicious dish! Manty, mutton, Kiev cutlet - 5 points, dolma by 3, sour. A bottle of wine is normal. A check for three people came out 515 thousand local (~ 3900 rubles). Clean and tidy. The first time we went in without any reservation, there were places. The second time was no luck, there were no seats, there was even a small queue of people waiting at the entrance. There are always plenty of people.

A restaurant with a capital letter. The prices are above average (by local standards), but it's worth it. Delicious, aesthetically pleasing, decent. The three of us ate here for 280,000 soums (vegetarian dishes, beer, tea). Free Wi-Fi, a cozy atmosphere, the most attentive waiters. I definitely recommend it.
P.S. After 3 days we visited the Sycamore Tree again. I'm ready to bet 5 plus again. I note that all the dishes and ingredients here are 100% consistent with my idea of specific European dishes. If it's burrata cheese, then cream flows from it. If the caprese salad is with mozzarella, and not with some kind of cheese substitute. Excellent spritz-aperol. And everything is very, very tasty. I consider this restaurant to be the best in Samarkand. Thanks guys, keep it up!
Good food and terrible service. We waited 20 minutes for water and wine. At the entrance, they said there was a hookah, but then it turned out that there was not. The waiter returned twice and said that there were no ordered items. The food is good, but overall I was disappointed.
It's a great place.
We visited twice, I liked everything very much.
Delicious national food, good European cuisine.
There were some positions of wine missing, but they helped me pick up another one.
The second time we came to lunch for pilaf. Not as fat as in other places.
I advise you to go to the Library hall, it's very beautiful
There is something to improve. I ordered a steak salad, for some reason instead of a tomato, it was decorated with ketchup. Probably delicious tomatoes can be found in Uzbekistan. Baklava is not represented in desserts
Hello!
Yesterday we went to hospitable Samarkand.
We had a lot of fun walking around the city, where there are many beautiful places, one of which is the PLATAN restaurant.
We thank the chef for the delicious dishes, and for taking into account our wishes (regarding the small amount of salt in the food)))
Polite staff, we thank Azamat separately for the table setting, friendly attitude to the guests and timely delivery of what we ordered
Thanks to the Platan restaurant management for all of the above!
They cook very tasty, the service is excellent, one of the best restaurants where I have been, the atmosphere is like in the fabulous east, and most importantly, the meat is cooked very tasty, this one should be tried
Since I stayed at the Sycamore Hotel, breakfasts were held there, very tasty breakfasts and pleasant staff. Therefore, I decided one day to have dinner in a restaurant, there are several halls in the restaurant, I was taken to a cozy quiet one, it is called "bookish". It seems that only the guests of Samarkand visited this hall. To be honest, the food is delicious, but without frills, more European with a claim, but I did not have enough variety of local wines in the wine list, I always try to take local wine when traveling, especially in Uzbekistan there are many vineyards, and I know that a lot of wines are produced, but there was one brand in this restaurant, and I didn't like it. I really liked the staff, friendly and attentive, but there was one THING!!! during the dinner period, after each departure of the visitors, a cleaner ran out with a floor cloth and a mop and began to clean the floors after them!!! It's a SHOCK to me!!! The restaurant claims to be exquisite.. and then there's a rag under my feet))) like in the dining room )
Delicious! Very! Beautiful! The service is excellent! Everything that we took, we liked it very much! Including desserts!!! Not cheap. But this is the case when it's not a pity!
It was very tasty) if there were no time limits, we would have sat for at least another hour) it was beautiful, very cozy) we were even greeted by a cat)
Beautiful interior and delicious food. I liked the service, but there were some minor flaws. I recommend you to visit

Great place, good food and service. Everything is delicious! The atmosphere is calm , there is even a musician of his own . There is also a Platan hotel at the restaurant.
The restaurant is not bad, but it seemed to have disappointed expectations. The best restaurant in Samarkand, according to Tripadvisor. I couldn't get in on the fly, so I had to book the next day. The atmosphere is pleasant, there are places on the street (you can smoke), clean.
The kitchen was not impressed. The lentil soup was not comparable to Turkish or homemade. Sycamore salad is delicious. Lula was not impressed at all. They reminded me of an ordinary cutlet. Dessert and sea buckthorn tea are delicious.
All in all, it's not bad, but not for the best restaurant in the city. There is a lot to grow, especially for the cook.
The restaurant is excellent, delicious, cozy veranda.
A 4-star hotel with a minus: the rooms are interestingly furnished, but the audibility is enormous, at 7 a.m. the hotel staff began to ring and break in search of some negligent driver who somehow parked the car wrong. We broke into all the rooms (we remember about audibility), we couldn't get enough sleep. The mattresses are wooden, the breakfasts are very mediocre.
This is the most delicious rest in Samarkand and the most expensive one we visited, about 1.5 times more expensive than the rest. The first place where there is no excess salt in the dishes. There is a wide selection of European alcohol. The most polite staff, impeccable service, good wifi. The Solid Five
A very interesting restaurant with a solid four-plus kitchen, you don't want noise, you can sit in silence, good-natured staff, very polite, I don't come often, but not infrequently
I always go here, the first thing when I visit Samarkand, the chickens are excellent, the staff is always ready to help, at various customer requests! I recommend it to everyone, but you need to book places in advance!
Great restaurant, great cuisine, I liked everything! I definitely recommend it! Respect to the waiters, especially for all our "you can without onions", "you can without garlic", etc. The result: the dishes are unrealistically delicious, the waiters are fast and kind, we - the customers- are infinitely satisfied!!!
A very cozy restaurant. We really liked it. The food - not all the dishes were successful, but I do not put four, as the atmosphere of the restaurant is very sincere. The saxophonist sets the atmosphere of the place. The cocktails are great. Special thanks to the managers, thanks to them, we had a great evening with our family.
Not a bad place, but for a pub there is a small assortment of beer. We liked the food, unfortunately there was a banquet with us at the same time and we were warned that orders would take longer to prepare. I liked the service. I took off the star for coffee. Lavatsa and the office superautomat that prepares it. Such coffee lowers the level of the establishment.
The food is delicious, the portions are large. 5 points for this. It's a good one. I didn't like the fact that the tip of 15% is already included in the bill, because the service pulls no more than 3 points.
Cozy atmosphere and interesting interior. They cook delicious, ordered different dishes and liked everything. The prices for the restaurant are acceptable.
Among the disadvantages-there is no terminal, payment is only in cash.
I don't understand why they block my review! We arrived at the most rated restaurant in Samarkand, and it is closed. That is, the doors are open, you can go to the second floor, and the wind is blowing there, the tables are shifted, a centimeter layer of dust is everywhere. No one knows how long the restaurant has been closed and for how long. There are no ads anywhere either! We went to eat! Then I saw the reviews that the restaurant is open. But apparently something happened that day.
I haven't been to other cafes, but it left the most pleasant impression, both in terms of cuisine and prices! That's probably why I wasn't in the others! Places must be booked in advance, as a rule, all are occupied. We were lucky once, they were lucky the second time that we were free. I had to wait. The kitchen is very interesting. I liked the lamb square. Just yummy! And a salad with crispy eggplant. I've never tried anything like this before!
We found this place based on reviews. And they were not disappointed. I liked all the food, we were 2 times. Both times we sat in the common room, not in the library, we didn't like the atmosphere there right away. There are a lot of waiters, they work fast. There is pilaf on the menu, but they said that it has not been cooked for a long time. In general, it is difficult to find pilaf in Samarkand in ordinary restaurants, only specialized ones. Up cards are accepted without problems. I didn't like that there was only a genoa bowl in the men's room.
