I didn't like the food, I took 4 dishes and only one of them for 4, I only tried the rest. The staff is not professional, I was in the afternoon and there were no guests in the establishment, but the waiter had to be caught. I do not recommend visiting.
We decided to have lunch at the famous Platan restaurant. We were disappointed with the cold reception and the quality of the dishes. There is no national cuisine (as our waiter said - only European cuisine) and the main dish was brought cold, the quality of the meat is terrible - rubber, melted hard cheese!!! How does such an institution get a high rating?
Great restaurant! Everything is very, very tasty!!! The library room is better👍One of the best restaurants in Samarkand! It is better to book a table in advance, as there is always a full boarding!
Great place! Cozy, entourage. The food is delicious, the portions are not large, but also not small, the service is excellent. I definitely advise you to visit!
Some enthusiastic reviews are unclear. An absolutely ordinary cafe. The hall is on the 1st floor with an ordinary interior. The price tag is above average by local standards. The taste is mediocre, fruit tea is a diluted powder. The service is normal, the bill was carried for a very long time. At the same time, the only time in Uzbekistan I took payment not in soums, but in dollars, transferring the account from soums to dollars at an extremely unfavorable exchange rate much lower than the market rate.
Delicious food, good portions. Good cocktails. The staff is attentive. It is mandatory to visit, besides, the prices are not very high!!! We didn't wait very long, but we could have been faster.....
We had lunch and dinner on January 1st . We were forced to get there because almost all the restaurants were closed . We didn 't spare a minute . It's very tasty, not as fast as we would like, but it's a New Year and a full landing. You can see how hard the waiters and managers tried . The food is excellent, the fastidious son appreciated both the kebab and the steak. The mantas are excellent, the caesar with shrimp is also beyond praise. I definitely recommend it . Book in advance
The service is good)
But scolding the staff in front of guests is not very good) well, okay)
The building itself is colorful)
There is nothing special on the menu and it is very depressing((
The prices are great and the taste, like in a regular cafe, is good)
We arrived in the evening, without prior reservation. There were no seats in the hall, they settled down on the street. The waiter was attentive and unobtrusively gave recommendations. The feed time is fast. The food is delicious.
No one met at the entrance, and the waiters passed by without paying attention. Tuna salad from the menu turned out to be canned tuna and generally not tasty. Of the 5 dishes that we ate, I didn't like anything. Sorry evening and money
Interesting interior and good service.
But the food is very average.
They took manti, dolma and stewed mutton with potatoes. Greasy, the taste of old butter. The mutton has a strong taste of vinegar.
Super delicious food. During the week of your stay in Uzbekistan, this is the best restaurant in terms of cuisine and serving. The prices are reasonable. Lunch for two is ~ 400k sum.
Perhaps the best traditional restaurant in Samarkand. From the entrance you get into a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere. It is important that the ingredients of the dishes are the freshest. it makes sense to order traditional dishes. Achuchuk, vitamin salad, eggplant, manti, lamb on a bone and branded baked chickens. I recommend the veranda in the evening.
The minus is the wine list. But there were no expectations either. Plus - strong drinks
A great restaurant and everything is very tasty here. There is both European and local cuisine, it seems that there is even an Asian one, but this is not for sure. In general, tourists definitely need to come here once.
It was not bad, the staff was very good.
There is a caveat: we visited twice and on the second visit there was not the freshest salad and a slightly spoiled chalop soup, which affected the state of health the next day)
I really liked the restaurant. Wonderful cuisine, it was very tasty. A calm atmosphere, a beautiful serving of dishes. It is better to book a table in advance.
Food for four, service for two. As a result, you can put a three. As in other reviews, I was faced with the fact that in the presence of a large number of empty seats, the hostess broke down for a long time and did not want to sit at a table, referring to the lack of seats. As a result, they were put at the most passable table at the entrance. The hostess is not friendly, the waiters made a positive impression. According to the food: the meat is tender, juicy, very tasty. The shrimp in the salad are over-dried. A cake with vegetable cream, of course, does not deserve a place in a restaurant.
A restaurant where you want to come back again and take your guests there. There are several halls, one of which has live music. Everything is very tasty and fast. The staff is extremely polite and helpful.
It's a very cool place, the portions are huge, very tasty. As for the prices, I compared them with the prices in St. Petersburg, and they are much lower. If you compare it with other establishments in Samarkand, it is probably quite expensive, but the level of the restaurant fully corresponds to the prices
The best place to relax with friends. Everything is very tasty. Well, that 's it . Ordered salads 5+)++
Meat 5+++
Nuggets+++
Mojito a couple of types +++
Pleasant atmosphere. Playing the saxophone .
Excellent cuisine, beautiful interior, no complaints about the service, prices are above average but not prohibitive. The cuisine is mixed, the menu is varied.
Nice place, nice atmosphere. There are many visitors and tourists among the visitors. The menu is varied, there are very tasty dishes, there is not much, as luck would have it. For example, the club salad with shrimp and a Kiev cutlet are excellent, but I did not like the kebab at all. There was no luck with dessert either. Well, pilaf and kebabs will have to be found in other establishments, because there are practically no dishes of national Uzbek cuisine in Sycamore
It was recommended as a quiet family restaurant, in fact, the music is pounding, it's noisy, it's impossible to talk, just shout to be heard. Sea buckthorn tea - very little sea buckthorn, a lot of sugar and some kind of chemistry like citric acid. The teriyaki fish is too salty, there is a lot of sauce, there is no taste of fish. There is a lot of dressing in the salad, the avocado is tough. And for one hot dish, salad and a pot of tea - 300 thousand soums. VAT is not included in the price of the dish, which is written on the menu! I've never seen anything like this before.
We have not found another restaurant in the city that could be called a restaurant rather than a cafe. After other small cafes in the Registan and Bibi Khanum area, the food in Sycamore was especially delicious, I liked everything and the serving of dishes, and the local wine, the atmosphere, the interior, the staff and the choice on the menu. Everything is known by comparison.
With such a rating, we expected much more, ordinary food, the atmosphere inside from the 90s. There is a large menu, but there is not enough Uzbek cuisine.
One of the three best restaurants in the city, for my taste. The kitchen is good, very decent grill and meat. The waiters vary from shift to shift, some are good, some are not very good.
Great restaurant, in the center, delicious food, good service. It is better to book.
Of the cons, the beer was tasteless, all the dishes were waiting for a long time)
A good restaurant. It's hard to book for dinner, but for lunch it's quite real. European food, if you are tired of the Uzbek national :))). Although samsa and manta rays are not bad. I also recommend their original dishes from the national cuisine like Platan salad with meat and nuts 😌

The most delicious and European restaurant.
Good and delicious menu. Beautiful pitch.
Both appetizers, salads and hot dishes are delicious.
If you are tired of kebabs on the street and want comfort, then it's worth a visit.
Ps. Sometimes ofiki hang and carry drinks for a long time =)
Yesterday I had an extremely unpleasant experience in this place. I went there for the 3rd time, in the middle of the day, I wanted to have a cup of coffee on the veranda. 70% of the seats were free, but the beautifully dressed manager refused to let me sit at the table, referring to the reservation of all tables. I said that I would just have coffee for 15 minutes, to which they replied that "it's a very long time until they bring it to you, sorry, I don't want to get your hopes up." And instead of at least offering coffee to take away, they were escorted to the exit. It was very unexpected and quite humiliating. This has never happened to me anywhere in the world - neither in Russia, nor in Europe, nor in Asia, nor in America.
I can assume that I was dressed too casually for this place - I certainly could not have imagined that in the cafe at the hotel you need to dress up for coffee.
Otherwise, it's beautiful, atmospheric and delicious, but unfortunately I can't recommend it.
We were there twice, I liked the food. Delicious chuchwara, not over-dried, juicy. Aychichuk salad is good. The nutty cake is divine. But the second visit left a residue. We sat down on the outdoor terrace, according to the weather in May. We accepted the order. And after 10 minutes, an employee came up and said that the terrace was closing, they needed to get out (it was at 17 o'clock in the middle of the working day), and they needed to go to the hall in the building. It was no longer so comfortable to sit there. And what was most frustrating was that an hour later, after having dinner, they left the restaurant, the terrace was filled with people who were no longer being pulled anywhere.
