I didn't like the food, I took 4 dishes and only one of them for 4, I only tried the rest. The staff is not professional, I was in the afternoon and there were no guests in the establishment, but the waiter had to be caught. I do not recommend visiting.

We decided to have lunch at the famous Platan restaurant. We were disappointed with the cold reception and the quality of the dishes. There is no national cuisine (as our waiter said - only European cuisine) and the main dish was brought cold, the quality of the meat is terrible - rubber, melted hard cheese!!! How does such an institution get a high rating?

Some enthusiastic reviews are unclear. An absolutely ordinary cafe. The hall is on the 1st floor with an ordinary interior. The price tag is above average by local standards. The taste is mediocre, fruit tea is a diluted powder. The service is normal, the bill was carried for a very long time. At the same time, the only time in Uzbekistan I took payment not in soums, but in dollars, transferring the account from soums to dollars at an extremely unfavorable exchange rate much lower than the market rate.

We had lunch and dinner on January 1st . We were forced to get there because almost all the restaurants were closed . We didn 't spare a minute . It's very tasty, not as fast as we would like, but it's a New Year and a full landing. You can see how hard the waiters and managers tried . The food is excellent, the fastidious son appreciated both the kebab and the steak. The mantas are excellent, the caesar with shrimp is also beyond praise. I definitely recommend it . Book in advance

Perhaps the best traditional restaurant in Samarkand. From the entrance you get into a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere. It is important that the ingredients of the dishes are the freshest. it makes sense to order traditional dishes. Achuchuk, vitamin salad, eggplant, manti, lamb on a bone and branded baked chickens. I recommend the veranda in the evening.

As a result, they were put at the most passable table at the entrance. The hostess is not friendly, the waiters made a positive impression. According to the food: the meat is tender, juicy, very tasty. The shrimp in the salad are over-dried. A cake with vegetable cream, of course, does not deserve a place in a restaurant.

It was recommended as a quiet family restaurant, in fact, the music is pounding, it's noisy, it's impossible to talk, just shout to be heard. Sea buckthorn tea - very little sea buckthorn, a lot of sugar and some kind of chemistry like citric acid. The teriyaki fish is too salty, there is a lot of sauce, there is no taste of fish. There is a lot of dressing in the salad, the avocado is tough. And for one hot dish, salad and a pot of tea - 300 thousand soums. VAT is not included in the price of the dish, which is written on the menu! I've never seen anything like this before.

After other small cafes in the Registan and Bibi Khanum area, the food in Sycamore was especially delicious, I liked everything and the serving of dishes, and the local wine, the atmosphere, the interior, the staff and the choice on the menu. Yesterday I had an extremely unpleasant experience in this place. I went there for the 3rd time, in the middle of the day, I wanted to have a cup of coffee on the veranda. 70% of the seats were free, but the beautifully dressed manager refused to let me sit at the table, referring to the reservation of all tables. I said that I would just have coffee for 15 minutes, to which they replied that "it's a very long time until they bring it to you, sorry, I don't want to get your hopes up." And instead of at least offering coffee to take away, they were escorted to the exit. It was very unexpected and quite humiliating. This has never happened to me anywhere in the world - neither in Russia, nor in Europe, nor in Asia, nor in America.
I can assume that I was dressed too casually for this place - I certainly could not have imagined that in the cafe at the hotel you need to dress up for coffee.
Otherwise, it's beautiful, atmospheric and delicious, but unfortunately I can't recommend it.

We were there twice, I liked the food. Delicious chuchwara, not over-dried, juicy. Aychichuk salad is good. The nutty cake is divine. But the second visit left a residue. We sat down on the outdoor terrace, according to the weather in May. We accepted the order. And after 10 minutes, an employee came up and said that the terrace was closing, they needed to get out (it was at 17 o'clock in the middle of the working day), and they needed to go to the hall in the building. It was no longer so comfortable to sit there. And what was most frustrating was that an hour later, after having dinner, they left the restaurant, the terrace was filled with people who were no longer being pulled anywhere.
