I've dreamed of visiting here for a long time. And so, having gone to Egypt, I decided to visit this miracle. The pyramids are magnificent. People are brought here from all over the country. There are a lot of people, and there are a lot of Bedouins around, but you need to treat them like beggars - don't react and they won't cause you any problems.
So the three pyramids, different in size, belong to the same genus. The history of the pyramids is very interesting. You can go inside the pyramid, for an additional fee. Go inside or not, decide for yourself. There's nothing to see there, just the walls, all the exhibits in the museum, and not just the Cairo one. Pyramids of some unreal size, being nearby, you understand the full scale of such a structure. You can approach and touch the pyramids and even climb, but it's not high. There aren't many guards around, but there are. As the sun goes down, everything empties out.
Hello everyone. I went on an excursion from Sharm el-Sheikh on 04.12.2024. I ordered through the Empire of Tourism company. The price is $45 + $ 25 and $5 for the visa (because I did not pay for it at the airport upon arrival :( ). Below are my travel notes.
• they were picked up from the hotel at 00:27
• 01:00 _ arrived at the gas station _ place of transfer to large buses. It seems that there is an opportunity to go to the toilet...
• 01:10-01:20 _ large buses are arriving. Recommendation: immediately find out which bus will take you and run... Take the best (comfortable) seats, otherwise how will I stay in the back of the cabin. // We are settling down ... A bus with 49 seats. The rows of seats are packed as tightly as possible, there are certainly no handles between a pair of seats (as in an airplane). The backs of the chairs recline. Of course, it will be very difficult for overweight people to accommodate ... There are 2 USB ports between the seats, downstairs! Everything is fine with charging smartphones :) There is a small toilet without toilet paper (please use it ONLY for minor needs). The driver has water and juices on sale _ for 1-2 dollars.
• 02:21 _ let's go in a convoy of 10+ buses
• 02:45 _ we passed the checkpoint (passports and visas were presented). The air conditioner is always on on the bus, so a sweatshirt won't hurt. Be sure to take "airplane eyecups" and something under your head (neck)!!! Very often there were "checkpoints", the bus staggers on speed bumps, bright lights from floodlights... It will be very bad without eyecups.
• 06.27 _ first stop at RestHouse for 40 min. There is a toilet + a cafe and a shop.
• 07.25 _ we started moving from the RestHouse
• 07:50 _ CHECKPOINT _ everyone had to get off the buses (without belongings), we walk 300-400 meters..
• 08:00-08:05 _ drove through the tunnel under the Suez Canal, entered Africa!
• 08:20 _ let's go. A Russian-speaking GUIDE came on board _ he will be with the group until the end of the events in Cairo.
• 09:05 _ we entered the suburbs of Cairo (another checkpoint, but we were not checked)
• 09:55 _ we entered the old part of Cairo
• 10:15 _ we arrived at the museum (Tahrir Square). The guide gave everyone a radio-"headphones".
• 10:35 _ entered the building. Crowds of people. Our only task is to observe the raised flag of the guide and listen to his voice in the earphone (when the voice fades, it means he is moving away... we must urgently move towards him so as not to get lost). Of course, everything is running, running, nothing really to see... Sadness.
• 11:45 _ left the museum
• 12:00 ... _ boat trip on the Nile ($10). This is not a boat, but a large boat with seats along the sides... You can't take good photos there, there's not much to see either. Money is wasted ...
• Next, visit the "Oil Sales Center"
• 14:00 _ we ride the bus, we see the PYRAMIDS!!!! But we're going to lunch... I understand that time is passing, it will start to get dark soon ... :(
• 14:15-15:00 _ sooooooo modest lunch (at a kind of SUN Z restaurant). It will be very sad after the 5* hotel.
• 15:02 _ we entered the closed pyramid zone
The guide insistently offers a camel ride for $10 or a "chariot" (for 2 people) for $25 each.
• 15:35 _ got off the bus. The beginning of the inspection!!! Hurray!!! But you need to get back to the bus in 35-40 minutes!!! Then we'll take a bus to the Sphinx.
I was alone. I started rushing between the two pyramids in order to have time to take at least some pictures (like I was here :)).
At 16:00, the guards begin to insist on following the pyramids to the exit (to the buses). // Naturally, half of the people did not come to the bus by the appointed time. We waited for them for about 10 minutes ... The guide suggested walking to the Sphinx. It turned out to be very close .. going downhill.
• 16:20-16:25 _ we walked from the pyramids to the Sphinx
• 16:45 _ we finished at the Sphinx. The guards do not let anyone through, they persistently ask tourists to leave the fenced area near the sphinx.
• 17:03 _ we boarded the bus. We left the Sphinx ... We are going to the Papyrus Institute : (
• 20.40-45 _ we passed the checkpoint in front of the Suez Canal, we did not get off the bus!
• 21:15 _ RestHouse stop (for 45 minutes)
• 22:00 _ let's go ...
• 22:05 _ we stopped at the checkpoint, we're waiting.. Apparently there is no escort :(
• 22:35+ _ let's go ... Next, I took a nap (it's hard to call it sleep).
• 03:10-03.25 _ we passed the checkpoint at Charm
• 03:35 _ we arrived at the gas station (= hotel pick-up point)
• 03:45 _ Mikrik, who picked me up from the hotel, and even the same driver arrived.
• 03:52 _ we left for the hotels
• 04:30 _ dropped off at the hotel
Conclusions: be prepared that the pyramids will have VERY LITTLE TIME. Consider renting a chariot for $25. At least you'll have time to watch something on it. // There was not even a thought to go inside the pyramid _ THERE is NO time! It was also impossible to examine the pyramids in detail _ THERE is NO time! The sphinx's head looks terrible from behind! What did the restorers do? What were they thinking? The squalor...
just because I've dreamed of visiting this place all my life, I'm HAPPY WITH the TRIP. It was difficult, but you can get over it.... I'm happy that my wife didn't come with me :) I 'd be tired of soothing her all the way ... // According to the tickets we were given, the museum ticket cost $ 11, the entrance to the pyramids $ 14. In total, the organizers are left with a measly $ 20 per tourist!!! What do they do for a living??? Good luck to all!
We went on an excursion from coral travel for 100 rubles per person in January 2025. It included a visit to the mosque, the main museum in Cairo, where the mask and sarcophagus of Tutankhamun made of pure gold dazzled the eyes. The pyramids of Giza conquered with their scale! rides on the Nile + lunch (buffet) and the grandeur of the Sphinx- exceeded all expectations!.It was unforgettable!Despite the fact that the tour from Sahl Hasheesh took almost a day, it was worth it. Cairo left a double impression, on the one hand, dirt, poverty, ruins, and on the other, contact with antiquity and history left unforgettable emotions!!! I recommend you to visit
I have long dreamed of visiting the Giza plateau and on 12/25/2024 the dream came true! We flew from Sharma to Cairo, yes, it's not cheap with today's course, but there is no such fatigue as we were offered by bus!
The atmosphere is indescribable, pyramids and Sphinx in different lighting conditions. The days shimmer as if made of gold! Power and greatness beyond words!
Still, it's worth visiting here at least once in your life.
The only thing that spoils the impression is the local beggars who jump out of their pants for a couple of bucks, but I recommend ignoring them and just going your own way.
By the way, horseback riding is not worth it, do not waste any time or money on it. It's very unpleasant, inconvenient, plus then it's hard to get off without paying extra)
One of the Seven Wonders of the world that has survived to the present day. Since childhood, I dreamed of coming here and the dream came true! We took an individual tour from Hurghada, so the journey, although long, was not tedious. We rode in a comfortable car with a driver and a guide, no columns of buses and tedious waits. We took a two-day tour, in Giza we stayed at a hotel with a view of the pyramids. Dinner and breakfast with such a view - it was so beautiful that it seemed unreal! In the evening we watched a laser show, and in the morning we went directly to the pyramids! They are amazing in their scale and grandeur! Touching the pyramid, it feels like you are touching not history, but Eternity. The strongest energy, definitely a place of Power, but, judging by some reviews, not for everyone…
A narrow tunnel leads to the very heart of the pyramid, yes it is cramped, yes it is not convenient to walk in places, but realizing where you are - it becomes completely unimportant! When I got to the camera, I was completely delighted, nothing mattered anymore, neither the people around, nor the sarcophagus, nothing! I wanted to be alone with myself, and absorb with every cell of my body the incredible energy permeating everything around.
I can't say that everyone is required to visit, if for a "tick", then it's better not to. The pyramids are much more than an ancient artifact.
The cult place is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Here you can ride a chariot, ride a camel, take many beautiful photos, go inside the pyramid, touch the antiquity. The Giza Pyramid complex is worth coming to Cairo and visiting this wonderful, truly ancient place.
We drove from Sharma-it was a long time, but we took an extra seat for $ 15, we even managed to sleep), so we were cheerful and cheerful.
For a walk near the pyramids, they handed over an additional $ 10 in the bus to the guide. You can choose from a camel or a chariot, here you can choose what you like. All the attendants know how to take staged photos, but they ask for money for it))), but everyone is asking everywhere😜
The only thought after the walk was that you could have paid on the spot and the cabman would have been more kind ....
Stayed overnight in a hotel with a view of the pyramids - it's cool!
We were in February - it's comfortable to go there in winter. In summer, no shade, no stump - you'll just die from the heat. We were traveling from Hurghada. We left the hotel at 0:40 a.m., and arrived in Giza around 9-10 a.m. We lost 2 hours on the highway because of the fog - it is forbidden to drive in the fog and the highway is blocked by the police. And the fogs are always there in winter... it's a shame. About the pyramids. Of course, the mind does not comprehend how all this is built and by whom. Lots of people. It's hard to take pictures. They immediately offered to ride camels or a carriage to the observation deck on the bus. It's a long walk and there's no road. For $ 25, they drove 3x by carriage. Nothing special, but all the pyramids are visible. We didn't go inside (Cheops is $120 from the nose, the other one is $12). After a trip to Luxor, we were told that the tombs there are more spectacular... in general, I liked Luxor better. But you definitely need to visit such a wonder of the world!
It's an incredible feeling to see one of the 7 wonders of the world in person. Unrealistic scale and very beautiful views.
However, it was still a pleasure to travel from Sharm El-Sheikh 9 hours a night by bus to see it.🥴
There are a lot of chariots with horses on the territory of the pyramids and it smells quite unpleasant (and it's better to always look at your feet so as not to get into trouble)
There were a lot of camel touts - get on for free, and get off for a fee.
Since childhood, I have dreamed of seeing this with my own eyes…
By chance and the fulfillment of my dream, in November 2024 I am rushing to the seventh wonder of the world.
Everything about the pyramids is unique, it makes you shudder.
As for the level of people, this is madness, dirt and stench, business.
You simply can't even stand still and consider the details, a bunch of local Bedouins are running at you, the offers are different, but the meaning is the same, how to get more money from you.
The picture is sad, to create such a mess in such a place.
To see the only surviving of the eight wonders was a long-held dream and it came true))) These are certainly very impressive structures, and the fact that they are also so ancient is generally impressive. There are a lot of camel and horse riders near the pyramids (get on a camel for free, get off $ 15 and above) and services on this principle (take pictures and so on) well, sellers of different types, in order to get to the pyramids, you need to fend off offers) by the way, almost everyone speaks Russian well.
Unfortunately, little time was given to stay near the pyramids and it was not possible to fully enjoy their majesty, but the incredible impressions will remain forever. By the way, when a camel gets up or lies down, it's very scary, so you hang down. I'll always remember that too 🤣
Everything is fine, a dream came true in Egypt was 2a times, but I did not go to the pyramids, but then I decided to spend a lot of money with Sharm el Sheikh for 7 hours on the bus without bending
A preserved wonder of the world, it's worth visiting and slowly considering everything that interests you, winter is just for such excursions, the entrance to the pyramids themselves is paid separately, for me the pyramid of Mikerin turned out to be more interesting inside, it's worth taking a camel or walking yourself to the place where all 8 pyramids are visible, we were satisfied with the tour, especially if It's individual and there's plenty of time.
The Pyramid of Cheops is one of the seven wonders of the world, which continues to amaze and inspire people from all over the world. This majestic structure, built more than 4,500 years ago, still remains a mystery to scientists and archaeologists. The pyramid impresses with its scale and precision of execution. Its facets are oriented to the cardinal directions, and the proportions are so perfect that they allow it to stand for thousands of years. Inside the pyramid there are narrow corridors and chambers that are admired for their architecture and the skill of the builders.A visit to the pyramid of Cheops leaves an unforgettable impression. This is an opportunity to touch history, feel the greatness of ancient civilizations and think about how much we still don't know about the world. I recommend visiting the Pyramid of Cheops to anyone interested in the history, archaeology and culture of Ancient Egypt.
There are a lot of people, it's very hot, but impressive. Such a colossus. We didn't go inside, we didn't dare. The guide talked about the sights in an interesting way. You can visit it once.
Monumental structures. You only need to look at such structures live, the pictures don't convey anything at all. The most interesting place is where tourists don't go much (where there are small dilapidated pyramids). The cons are camels, hucksters and Bedouins who spoil this place. The territory is in some kind of neglect. I told my wife not to climb there too much, otherwise she would open some unknown tomb. In general, it is a very atmospheric place, which is strictly mandatory to visit.
We had a great time in this ancient place! We traveled here via satellite in December 2024, and there were a lot of people, as was the season.
The views are amazing! The grandeur of the pyramids is impressive!
It's a great place!
It's amazing how this wonder of the world has survived to our times!
It's mysterious what's inside the pyramid of Cheops itself!
I advise everyone!
The place is BOMBED!
Perfect for a family outing!!!
Flying to Egypt and not seeing this wonder of the world is like waking up and not brushing your teeth.
It is a very impressive structure, and it is amazing how it has been preserved to this day. The size and scale of what people in ancient times were able to do are amazing. There are plenty of locals around the pyramids offering their paid services and selling their souvenirs. It's not worth it, ignore them) Enjoy the grandeur of the Pyramids.
There is an unsubscription in life, it's just great. A place of power! I recommend it to everyone!
The trip from the tourist places is very long, I recommend taking a small bus, as regular buses run very poorly on the roads of Cairo.
It's nice to feel the story for yourself, but a lot of people want to make money from you (a camel ride of $ 15 + tea), it's 10 minutes
Horse-drawn chariot ride:15$ per person (5 min)+ tea
Arafat, souvenirs, and so on!!!! They beg and beg everywhere, they get offended if they don't give tea!! Mentally prepare yourself, but the wonder of the world is worth a visit
Of course, this place is a must-visit, because it's not every day that you have the opportunity to touch one of the wonders of the world. However, the situation around this wonder of the world does not at all cause a desire to revisit these places. Crowds of tourists, driven by guides, a lot of dirty camels, horses and donkeys with their obsessive owners. The utter chaos going on around makes it impossible to fully enjoy the visit.
Incredibly huge structures that cause delight. You can take a lot of beautiful photos. A photo on a camel costs $5. Do not regret it, there will be beautiful shots.
Hello, everyone.
Cool, impressive, and also our guide Honey -well done! He told me everything that was necessary, what was not, and helped with souvenirs.
The Pyramids of Giza are one of the most impressive places I have ever seen. They amaze with their grandeur and scale. It seems that these structures were not created by people, but by some gods.
I visited the pyramids as part of an excursion from Hurghada. The road took about 500 km and all night, but it was worth it.
I was particularly impressed by the pyramid of Cheops. It is the largest structure ever built by man. There is a special atmosphere inside the pyramid that makes you think about eternity.
Overall, visiting the pyramids of Giza left me with an unforgettable experience. I recommend everyone to visit this place at least once in their life.
We accidentally found out that a light show was taking place in the evening, so we decided to stay and watch. We are very glad that we attended such a cool laser performance, I advise you to watch it, for a small surcharge, the guide got tickets to the first row. Impressions for a lifetime!
The Pyrimids of Cheops visited, climbed, and took pictures. Then we hired a horse-drawn team at the entrance, drove to a place where all the pyramids are in the palm of your hand, and took additional photos there.
I visited there last year. It's a beautiful place. I ticked the box "I was here". It's a very interesting place. The most important thing is that you get a good guide. Because just taking a picture of the pyramids is not enough (at least for me)
The Great and Old Pyramid Complex)
It looks great in the picture, but in the real situation there are huge crowds of tourists; Bedouin people who go begging; camels and horses, which smell not very pleasant for this cultural place.
In short, you have to be on guard)
Back in 2002, having left Sharm el-Sheikh by bus, I arrived at this majestic place of power. The guide showed and talked about this splendor from afar. Charmed by the idea of examining everything much closer, two young girls left the group and touched the beautiful. I managed to climb to the first tier of stones! After that, a policeman on a camel appeared from nowhere and threatened punishment.
The tour did not wait for us, we got back by taxi, but I remembered the case and tell my grandchildren
Visiting the pyramids of Giza left an indelible impression. This is a place where history comes to life before your eyes, and the greatness of ancient civilizations amazes the imagination. The pyramids impress with their monumentality and the skill of the builders. I especially remember the pyramid of Cheops, which is one of the seven wonders of the world.
I recommend visiting this place to anyone who is interested in history and wants to see one of the most amazing structures of mankind.
The realization of how ancient these buildings are is impressive. Cleopatra lived closer to us than to the building of the pyramids. And here the main disadvantage is that the pyramid of Cheops was built before paints and ventilation were invented. It's cramped and stuffy inside
Everyone should visit here at least once in their life. But the impression is twofold . The monumentalism of the pyramids is juxtaposed with complete chaos and dirt all around. Camel excrement does not add romance. This place could be smartly improved, alleys could be made, a minicafe nearby to drink coffee, looking at the pyramids and imagining the history. But dirt, dust, and pestering "souvenir sellers" do not allow you to stay long.
But you have to see it all!
For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of seeing pyramids. These majestic stone giants, which preserve the secrets of ancient civilizations, have always attracted me with their mystery. And now, finally, my dream has come true! Standing at the foot of the majestic pyramids, I felt an incredible sense of delight and awe.
Everything is very beautiful. The history of Egypt is full of mysteries. Pyramids surprise and amaze with their power. There are a lot of merchants who are trying to sell their goods.
There is a lot of contrast. Photographs do not convey the power of the pyramids. Cunning traders: they can sell painted plaster, varnished, for a mineral stone...Children asking to buy a souvenir from them. And a smelly toilet, in order to get to the right place, you need to walk along the boards, you can not stumble, otherwise you will end up in a puddle of urine. Many years have passed, maybe it's better now.
We took an excursion from a tour operator from Sharm el Sheikh. The very road there and back is a complete thrash! Driving all night through the desert at about 7 o'clock, we had 15-17 buses in a convoy, accompanied by police and two SUVs at the beginning and end with machine guns in the trunk.Approximately every 50 kilometers there is a stop at a checkpoint, selectively they enter the bus with machine guns and a dog. At this time, the whole column is waiting. There is only one toilet stop throughout! and rest, there is a cafe. Since we got a bus with a toilet full to the brim, we could only get on it once. In the morning, as soon as it was light, it was already interesting to look at the views-the desert, the Suet Canal, Cairo. A city with its own architectural twist. The pirates of Giza are located on the outskirts of the city. Driving along a multi-lane highway in Cairo, turn your head to the right and a fascinating sight opens up in front of your eyes at the pyramid of Cheops!!! The very visit to the Wonder of the World certainly leaves indescribable impressions and sensations!!! You forget about all the inconveniences. Overshadowed only by pesky local gypsies, do not take anything from them, and even more so do not give it, otherwise there will be a scandal. It is advisable to take an excursion with a visit to the Historical Museum-this will be even better. Unfortunately, we did not get there, the museum was closed for reconstruction. After the pyramids, they are taken to the Sphinx, then transported to the observation deck for photos. After the photo shoot, they are taken to a nearby restaurant with a view of the pyramids. It's already about 4 p.m. Lunch buffet with a selection of European and local dishes. We had a good and delicious meal before going back. Then again, thrash-departure from Cairo in traffic jams for about 2 hours and another 7 hours to the hotel. Once in a lifetime, you definitely need to visit such a place. The visit time is December 2021.
Maybe someone is not interested in just looking at these pyramids, but I was very impressed by them
• How was the tour:
We left the hotel at 1:20 a.m. and at 7:00 a.m. we were in old Cairo. They talked about the service in the church, honestly it was not interesting. Next, we went to the papyrus store, which showed how papyrus was made, which was interesting. Then we went to the oil store - the most uninteresting and unnecessary thing about this tour. And after that, we finally went to the pyramids. That's what we went on this tour for, and it was worth it - to go there and take a bunch of photos. However, I thought they would be bigger, they just don't look as huge as on the Internet. Then we were taken to the Big Sphinx. Here he really looked big. At the end, we had lunch in a restaurant overlooking the pyramids, by the way, there is a buffet in the rest.

I didn't like the fact that the guide didn't tell me much about the pyramids, maybe you'll find a good guide, but everything was great
I've dreamed of coming here all my life! You seem to know everything about the pyramids, but when you see them in person, their power is simply amazing! I recommend everyone to visit. Unfortunately, local businessmen spoil the impression, but even they can't spoil the impression! Do not get on camels and horses, do not let yourself be photographed, money will be demanded for this! I sat on a camel for a dollar, you get off for $ 30, as in the joke, but it's true...
I've been there twice, and I plan to go again. It's a very interesting place.. it has its own atmosphere, which cannot be expressed in words))) you need to feel it))))
Well, what can I tell you? Fans of Egyptology will love the place. There is a very special energy there. Just curious people will be disappointed. Every time I visit Cairo, I always go to touch the Great Pyramids. I was inside and at the top of the pyramid, and where tourists are not taken - under the pyramid. I do not advise citizens with claustrophobia to enter. I can talk about pyramids a lot and for a long time. But I will only say that as they were a mystery, so they remain.
I still don't believe myself that I went and saw it. Stunningly. How could such a thing have been created even about five thousand years ago, well?!, it is incomprehensible to the mind
Words are unnecessary. See )
Good afternoon! One of the famous places on the planet, the wonder of the world. The Pyramid of Cheops. I recommend you to visit if you will be in Egypt. The cost of the tour is subject to agreement.
The unusual feeling of visiting the pyramids. We touched the history of civilization. It is difficult to realize that time has frozen in these great monuments of human civilization.
It's magical, and I recommend listening to the guide, not touching anything at the sellers, being as careful as possible with the Bedouins, and not giving your phone to anyone!!!!!! Strictly! Remove all the money or leave it on the bus, if it's from charm, then it's better to fly by plane than by bus for 13 hours, but it's worth it💯👍🙏
Pyramids are just a cannon! Of course, there is a lot of dirt, in the form of plastic bottles/cups/cigarette packs/cigarette butts. There is no point in going down into the pyramids, there is nothing from that life, from the word at all. You definitely need to visit the pyramids at least once! I recommend you to visit.
If you visit those places , how can you not visit this wonder of the world ? Incredible energy and a place where you can think about the eternal) I recommend you to visit
