We haven't been to the pyramids themselves, but we lived nearby. The feeling is monumental. It's probably comparable to coming from the wilderness to Moscow City. There is the same wow effect here, even a few kilometers away. And it's probably completely demolishing next to it! :)
To be honest with myself, nothing can compare with the pyramids of Giza in terms of the strength of the impressions received. That's right for me....And it's not even about the "eternal question" - who built them. This is a colossal job. Just think: in the pyramid of Cheops there are from 2.5 to 2.7 million blocks weighing one car. If you stack 1 block in 1 one minute...take a calculator. This is definitely not "20 years from a school textbook." And more. The ancient Egyptians loved to write down and draw everything: about the harvest, about the hunting of the Pharaoh, about cooking food, bread and beer, and a lot of other household activities. But so far, NO sketches or pictures about such grandiose structures as the pyramids have been found either in Egypt or anywhere else. A mystery, however....
GeronimO Took a calculator, calculated 1 block per minute is 60 blocks per hour, or 1,440 blocks in 24 hours (or another day), or 525,000 blocks in 365 days (or another year), or 2,628,000 in 5 years, which fits into the specified number of blocks from 2.5 to 2.7 million blocks. And notice in a time that is 4 times less than 20 years. You can take a calculator. :)
I 've been there three times . Of course it 's impressive . How could people build this without technology? It was the first time I went down inside .A complete disappointment -an empty room. The main drawback was that we traveled to the pyramids by bus for many hours. It is very long and inconvenient .
I was there , rabid Arabs driving around peramida , interfering with the viewing and shooting into the sky and trying to hit you . I do not recommend visiting this place.
