A large well-maintained area with beautiful trees and shrubs. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They feed normally, there is enough food for everyone, cooked at home, without any special frills. Alcoholic drinks are not included in the buffet bill.
I would like to eliminate the solar glare of half of those sitting in the dining room during dinner because the windows are panoramic. You can observe a beautiful view of the sea from the dining room during breakfast and lunch, but during dinner the sun's rays dazzle, creating discomfort.
The beach is equipped with free sun loungers and umbrellas, but it is almost impossible to swim in the sea, the entrance to the sea and the bottom in the sea itself is rocky, which causes severe pain to the legs and it is not possible to stand on your feet, even with the slightest waves. The cost of a holiday is like in a 5-star hotel.

The territory of the hotel is not guarded, only the gate from the side of the main street, through which anyone can pass

The hotel is great. I liked everything. But weak animation for adults . Boring. And the sea is not very clean. Many people suffer from rotovirus on site. We had a rest from 08/11/2013-08/19/2013. The food is excellent.

We had a rest in Nart at the end of August, quite a decent boarding house. In Abkhazia, with its mind-blowing nature, it is difficult to find good service. The Nart has a reasonable price-quality ratio. Good repair in the rooms, we had 1 junior suite building, decent bed linen, towels were changed every day, drinking water is the same. Our maid cleaned conscientiously and quietly, in our absence. The staff in the dining room is well-trained (which is very rare for Abkhazia), they keep the territory clean very well, everything is well maintained. Food for a solid four, there is more than enough of everything. I will especially note the abundance of fruits, greens, and salads. A pleasant bonus turned out to be a restaurant on the pier, live music, delicious and cozy. There is animation for vacationers with children. There is no pool. The sea is clean, without breakwaters, with dolphins and a beautiful sunset!

The place is very beautiful , the beach is clean , the room is cozy , but on day 2 , Rotovirus infection from 8 people 5 have fallen ill , there is a lot of food but not tasty , a lot of stray dogs need to be sterilized , then they will be calm , very thin do not feed them , I tried to feed them but the staff forbade ! Rested in August 2023, food for 4, but the plates are always cold (not from the dishwasher) probably washed by hand, and together with the heat, the floor of the hotel suffered from rotovirus.
In the new building, the condees can't cope. Even glass elevators are stuffy. There is very little space in the lobby bar and the bar starts working from 9.00, so if you want coffee at 7 in the morning, it will be overloaded.
The restaurant on the pier is excellent, but even by Abkhazian standards it is expensive. The second "restaurant" is outdoors. Even in the evening, the houses are stuffy, the food is terrible and also not on a budget...
There are also new, soft deck chairs and ordinary plastic ones on the beach, employees begin to arrange them from 7 in the morning, but the most cunning ones are already partisan at 6.30.
The location on the one hand is good - quiet, there are no discos until one o'clock in the morning. And on the other hand, the nearest grocery store is about a kilometer away, and a taxi to the market is 400 rubles in one direction.
Among the advantages, you can also note an indoor swimming pool, a fairly fresh gym and a large green area.

The new building is gorgeous , there are no complaints about furniture or plumbing, high ceilings, Elevators work perfectly. X
And almost Every Room has a Sea View! (a very competent architectural solution)

On the territory of the Nart there was a cafe Sheds, with excellent Caucasian cuisine and local staff. We arrived this year, went to have lunch for old times' sake. The menu has changed. "Meat in Abkhazian style", they brought hard pieces of unleavened beef under onions, saying that this is exactly how the meat is cooked. The mullet did not separate from the ridge. Homemade lemonade, terribly diluted with water and ice, the taste of fruit is barely caught. The waiter, according to him, arrived from Sochi, and has seen other visitors in his lifetime.

I had a rest at the Nart Hotel in the middle of June this year. It was the first trip to Abkhazia and the first acquaintance with Gagra.
I booked a trip for 6 days through the tour operator Alean.
The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, the territory is well maintained, lots of greenery and flowers: palm trees, magnolias, jasmine. The view of Mamdzyshka Mountain, at the foot of which the hotel is located, especially captivated me.
There is a private promenade for watching sunsets. Its own access to the sea with sun loungers and umbrellas and beach towels (free for those staying at the hotel). It is advisable to buy aquashouses at sea, since the beach is sandy and pebbly. The entrance to the sea is steep in places and the bottom is covered with pebbles. There are shops near the hotel where such slippers cost about 800 rubles.
It is advisable to take cash on vacation, so it will be easier to pay in shops and on excursions.
The room has cosmetics (shampoo, shower gel, soap), slippers, bathrobes and towels, a clothes dryer(!). Daily the maids left a bottle of still water.
There is a mini fridge with freezer. I had a room on the ground floor with a shared terrace overlooking the sea. In the evenings it is calm, cool and safe. In the cafe of national cuisine "Apatkha" a DJ played in the evenings, there was modern music and live vocals.
You can buy a guided tour on site. I took Ritsa and Evening Gagra to the lake.
The Swedish line restaurant has a varied menu. You won't stay hungry. However, for vegetarians or those who follow a strict diet, the choice will not be great.
Of the cons: on the first day of arrival, I took a salad at dinner, which was not the first freshness. And in the middle of the rest, I poisoned myself with something from the dishes of the dining room and spent the whole day lying down. And according to rumors, there was more than one. She was saved by sorbents.
If you have a weak digestive tract, treat your choice of dishes with caution.
The spa center has a free large deep indoor pool (where only a couple of people swam in the evenings during the entire rest period), a Finnish sauna and a hammam.
Separately about the checkpoint: a group transfer took you from Sochi airport to the hotel. The arrival was at one o'clock in the afternoon. We waited for the car for about half an hour. We spent at least an hour and a half at the border. The entire journey from the airport to the hotel took 4 hours. There was a minivan for 8 people back. The trip was comfortable and the whole way from the hotel to the airport took two hours.
Recommendation: take water and something to eat with you. Dress according to the weather (especially in summer, so as not to get heatstroke). There is a toilet at the border.
Entry/exit was on a Russian passport.
Separately, I would like to warn those who will fly to Smartavia. Choose a bag strictly according to their parameters. I was flying without luggage and on the way back my bag did not fit into their calibrator, I had to pay for extra hand luggage to a representative of the company, or they were taken off the flight.
Overall, the vacation was a great success. If you are going to Gagra for the first time, then the Nart Hotel is definitely the best value-for-money solution for you and your family.

We stayed at this hotel from October 9 to October 16, the hotel consists of 4 buildings, we lived in the 1st building, on the 1st floor, without a balcony. The room is not large, the carpet on the floor is stained, the bathroom is mildewed, the toilet is tipped, but the room has a kettle, cups, spoons, slippers, bathrobes, tea was brought every day if necessary and water in 1.5 liters. The carpenters were changed once, as the maid said that the washing machines did not work, dry towels. The food is without any frills, practical, varied food every day. But what I didn't like...unsanitary conditions, tables were wiped with one cloth for all visitors, it seems to me they did not hear about dysenfection at all, the pools were not chlorinated, there was no smell of chlorine anywhere. Many of the guests had a mouth virus infection, my family was affected too...
the area is beautiful, everything is clean. In my opinion, this is a hotel for 50+ people

A very good hotel, which at least works out of season - all the others were simply closed or under renovation. I cannot say that this is a 4* hotel, only in terms of the amount of food on the food court they do not pull on these stars, but in general clean and cozy rooms, a good spa complex, which is included in the price and Parking for cars.
