A great cozy airport , especially a convenient VIP lounge , which can be paid separately , regardless of the ticket level: white leather comfortable sofas , excellent homemade delicious food and waiter service , waiting for the flight is comfortable and the staff literally took hands and carried bags to the minibus to the plane 👍👍👍🇰🇿

A new terminal for international flights has been opened. Oh, my God, that's great. The terminal is clean, everything is organized and debugged. Duty free is not big, but they pushed everything out)
It's a pity that there is no WiFi and the cafe is all on the second floor, as well as 5✨

Everything is very on the level. The airport is near the city, it's not far to go. You go through passport control and customs quickly.
Upon arrival: you don't get lost anywhere, you find everything at once.
On departure: There is a Duty Free zone on departure. One of the disadvantages is that there is no exchanger in this zone. If you did not manage to exchange tenge before passport control, you can no longer change it inside. There is a smoking room. It is convenient to buy souvenirs in the neighboring building, where domestic flights are available. It is also packed in film.

There are no conditions for accepting a gift to travelers. Having to use a shared toilet is not very convenient. There is no prayer room for women, there is a large flow of Muslims and women have to pray in the passage to the new terminal or vice versa if women are in the room, then men have to wait!!!

But specifically, it is close enough to the city center, there is a convenient connection by public transport, including a night bus, although I did not use it.
Cons - there are few catering areas and, in general, the shopping area is small.

A beautiful country, great people, a red city. But sometimes only one person will spoil it, for example, an Uncle at the check-out of the international arrivals gate, tried to ask for money or at least any things from the luggage (to steal more precisely) of every foreigner. It is not possible to drive in normally, and if you do not find parking in one stop, then you have to drive about a kilometer to turn around and stand in traffic again. And all for the sake of 15-40 minutes of waiting. There seem to be fewer problems at the expense of departure, a zone was made in the new terminal for stopping and disembarking passengers, it is convenient on the one hand to drop off and leave. But what if you need to escort someone on a flight? 10 minutes may not be enough, but I really don't want to work hard for a fine and evacuation. Of course, due to the increase in the number of flights, the load on passenger traffic has also increased. There is a way out to free the parking lot, but most visitors may not like it very much... Although there is a more painless option, with the organization of a parking lot for waiting for flights outside the airport, but it will be much more financially unprofitable, although convenient from the point of view of the greeters

The flight was delayed for three and a half hours, they didn't even explain anything, the reason, what and how, and most importantly, the trick was not to feed people or that they should provide hot meals after a delay in departure or something else, without waiting for a four-hour delay, they announced boarding, somehow cunningly thought up)

If possible, do not fly through this airport. It's a complete horror, a small airport not adapted for international transit flights from the word at all (you won't even find where to sit, I'm silent about everything else). We flew to Vietnam through it, both flights departing from it were postponed for 4-6 hours, a hotel near the airport for homeless people, do not even think about staying there.

As of June 24, everything is fine and comfortable inside, but repairs of the roadway, parking and entrances are continuing on the street, which causes great difficulties with taxi passage, terrible crowding in narrow passages, a boarding area for 3 cars. At the airport, after inspection, Duty Free has only one cafe with food and there are queues and one store where half is alcohol, half is sweet and souvenirs. The rest of the establishments are only under construction.

A small airport for the largest city in the country. A poor dude. It is difficult to have a snack in the departure area, the prices are too high. The cafe in the waiting area has the same story. Parking is expensive - it is better not to leave the car at the port. The parking lot is small - it's clogged, it's hard to find a place. In general, it is provincial and dreary.

The terminal is small, so you won't have to walk around it much. Registration, border guards and the security service work quickly, smoothly and politely. The toilet is clean.
Public transport is not allowed on the territory, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the bus from the terminal.
There are no drinking fountains in the waiting room for international flights (water costs 950 tenge ~ 200 rubles for 0.33) and it stinks of tobacco, because there is a smoking room downstairs, where the doors are constantly opening and closing, as people go back and forth.

Excellent hotel, close to all shops, a huge shopping center. The hotel itself is small, family-like, but cute and homely.There is a kitchen, there is a refrigerator, a microwave, in general all the dishes, a full kitchen. Clean, cozy, cleaning, friendly and helpful receptionists at the reception, in general, I am very satisfied!

The airport is top, there are charging stations, there are cafeterias with great food, there are canteens where I haven't eaten yet, but the prices are quite inexpensive. There are even capsules, if you are very tired and want to sleep for 12 hours, pay 50 bucks. The only thing I didn't like was the very bad and old and already broken massage chairs.

Disgusting new duty free, they do not accept normal, unbroken money due to the fact that they have already been used by someone. Despite the fact that they violate the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, they say they know, but they cannot accept non-new banknotes ... a very "customer-oriented" person of Kazakhstan, shame! So, when you are going to fly out of Almaty, do not forget to print new bills!
