One star only for the location. Well, the cost may be relatively low. In mid-November, 2 nights cost 9,000 rubles.
If you find something comparable in price, if you like service and cleanliness, then the other option is definitely better.
That's what you need to be prepared for:
1. Lack of service. It's like in the 4 stars of Egypt: when they nod at you, but they don't do it. Checked into the room. The sink is smeared with some kind of goo. And one of the shampoo bottles is half empty (there is one in the photo). I went downstairs and asked to clean up (I went down because the phone in the room does not work).
Then he asked to clean up the next day, but no one cleaned or replaced it. Although the CLEANER CAME in in my absence and changed the towels.
2. Here's what hasn't worked yet or worked poorly: hot water comes after you've already washed. Remote control, phone. Wi-fi catches only at the reception.
3. Breakfasts: sad monotonous buffet. Dirty tables. There is a constant shortage of dishes.
The huge hotel has few seats. That is, you will walk around looking for a place.
I can only recommend omelette, cherry yogurt and kazinaki.
A separate quest is to pour yourself a coffee from the coffee machine. Wangyu: she will defeat you. And you will be the person who will pour boiling milk. Because the coffee machine is from the distant past, and intuition fails everyone.
An important advantage of the breakfast staff is the frequent absence of a person at the entrance who fixes the room number.
So you can safely take those in need with you :)
CONCLUSION: this hotel is in at least caring hands...
I remember this hotel well from my childhood, the very center of Tashkent.
Convenient location, close to many historical sites and modern buildings.
Sightseeing buses depart from the bus stop nearby. The hotel itself is very cozy inside, pleasant atmosphere, polite staff.
I recommend it!
When I stayed at this hotel in 2019 and 2020, it was great! Almost gorgeous.
But now... for that kind of money, it's practically a bedbug with a very poor breakfast, disgusting service, etc.
The rooms are large, but clueless. The furniture is all in terrible condition. There is no outlet by the bed - you charge the phone almost in the hallway. There are no toothbrushes.
In general, I do not recommend it
We stayed for one night during transit. The old Soviet hotel. Those who are looking for comfort are not here. The location is convenient. The staff is polite and friendly. If the hotel was also renovated, it would be great.
The hotel is, to put it mildly, so-so. It has a great location, there are balconies with a gorgeous view (if the floor is high), friendly staff, settled earlier. But that's where all the advantages ended. We got a room on the 11th floor, after renovation, it smelled terribly of paint, and the repair consisted only in the fact that the old furniture and floor were simply painted with light paint. Of all the towels, only one was white, and the rest were gray-yellow. The sheets are in small holes.Breakfast is generally something terrible, except for boiled eggs and vegetables there is nothing to eat. Instant coffee. And if you come to breakfast late, you may not have enough food, and if you have enough, there will simply be nowhere to sit, because all the tables will be filled with dirty dishes, no one takes it away, and the cabinets on which you can put the dishes yourself were quickly forced, since there are a lot of people. Well, the last straw was that there was no hot water in the hotel. As we were told that some kind of accident and water would be given in an hour, as a result, water was not given for the entire time of our stay (1 a.m.).
In general, if there is an opportunity, it is better to choose another hotel for this money.
One of the advantages: a very good location. The metro is within walking distance, Amir Temur Square and many cafes around.(I recommend the Poytaxt shopping center nearby, behind the square, and a cafe on the third floor.) The reception staff is very adequate and responsive. They are always polite and will help with any questions. The lobby is very beautiful, 4 elevators , floors, rooms. .It looks very rich .
Of the minuses: the main minus and the star was "eaten" by the cook. My wife is a doctor and it's good that they took medicines - they were poisoned with glaze. It was 7.07 on the day when the OSCE representatives organized the forum and there were a lot of them at breakfast. My wife started having colic and developed a fever, I lasted until morning and stayed in the room with the same symptoms. We both have egg burps. We ate eggs, or rather fried eggs, we were ONLY at the hotel with her!!! We did NOT have any coincidences of tastes and dishes in any restaurants! 8.07 we rested. They didn't take any more glaze...
as a result. We recommend, but be very vigilant in choosing breakfast dishes!
Monument to the Soviet hotel construction of the late period of the USSR. It looks very modern. It's clean inside. The breakfast is not very varied, but tasty and sufficient. The staff is polite. They speak Russian and English well. It is located in the very center of Tashkent. The prices for accommodation are very encouraging.
In the very center of Tashkent, monolith, quality, everything in wood, imperialism! The building itself is a historical monument - where tourists are taken. Parades and tour buses start from here.
But the room stock is very old, something is falling off, breaking down. But there is a fine line here, it even has its own chic.
At the same time, there is no mold, for example, everything is very clean
There are no air conditioners, but the Soviet designers so filigreed around this problem when creating a hotel that it does not get hot there.
Everything is nearby, the whole city is in the palm of your hand, just perfect, especially for those who come to the hotel to sleep cleanly, have breakfast and rush around the sights and delicious cuisine, all kinds of antiquities all day long.
I suffered for a long time, 3 or 4 to put, but objectively 3 *. The old tired hotel has been without repair and major cleaning for a long time.
The breakfast is normal, good pastries. The carpets in the corridors are dirty, the rooms are cleaned in a hurry, there is garbage and dust in the corners. The appliances are old, the air conditioner is very noisy and useless, you can't plug into the sockets, singing plumbing, etc. But the main thing is the iron mattresses, we managed to find normal ones in the 5th room. As the locals say, there is no owner there. The staff is nice, helpful and helpful, but they maintain the condition.
Great!I liked everything, it was at the end of October 2024.very polite staff! They immediately respond to requests and help! The breakfasts are delicious!Thank you very much for your hospitality❤
The staff is young. They didn't congratulate me on my birthday. Breakfasts with a wide selection. The staff is friendly at the bar. The location suited me. Average numbers,
The hotel is from Soviet times, the furniture and plumbing are tired. The antediluvian air conditioner hums and blows warm air. The staff is polite, the breakfast is not bad, but some dishes, such as sausages, were cold. There is not enough space for breakfast, tables for 8 people, you have to sit side by side with strangers. It is located in the center, convenient. If you do not find fault with the little things, then the norms!
Who knows what the cosmos hotel in Moscow is, he will understand) it is very similar. But a little better)) as it is, the rooms are modest, old in some places, the air conditioning is shared, so keep in mind when you go in the heat. You won't always get hot water. Not this morning. But! The breakfasts are good. We ate very tasty. However, there are few places where you can find coffee machines. They just made black coffee there. No cream, no milk. But it's okay to spend the night, two nights
Nice rooms - spacious, large beds. Of the disadvantages, there is almost no Internet in the room. My daughter studied online at the reception. The breakfast is also great. Mattresses and pillows are bad. If the administration is reading, it is better to replace it!
Remnants of former luxury
The hotel is, of course, large, once very beautiful, frescoes, paintings, parquet and wooden furniture. Large rooms, good beds, all hygiene items are available. But, of course, everything is tired. The bathroom is stripped, the floors are worn, but clean.
There is no Internet connection.
The view is cute, although the external structures interfere.
Breakfast and a great, varied buffet.
In general, the check mark is set. I would like to allocate a bigger budget and it would be great, but so far for four.
P.S. Look at what a cool retro design the hygiene kits have :)
A big plus is the location of the hotel. There are also very nice guys at the reception. The rooms are old. Everything needs to be repaired. The lobby of the hotel looks much better than the rooms. I didn't like the buffet breakfast at all. The choice is small. But the most unpleasant thing is the dirty tablecloths at the opening at 7 a.m. That is, they are not changed at all. You can stay for one or two nights without comfort. But to come to Tashkent to walk, relax and enjoy traveling is definitely not in this hotel
One of the most famous sights of Tashkent. Bus tours of the city take place from here. Beautiful and well-maintained territory, near Amir Timur square.
The hotel is sad and tired, the rooms are old, the appliances and furniture are also very shabby. The shower is leaking, the lights are broken, the windows are dirty in the room. Breakfast is meager, the same thing every morning - omelet, rice, chicken and a vegetable salad. On the ground floor, everything looks gorgeous and beautiful until you go up to the room) I hope the hotel/hotel will update and renovate the rooms soon so that you won't be ashamed to show your friends and recommend them. The location is good, 2 minutes from the metro, across the street there is a mini-park for walking.
Convenient location, rooms and the price of quality are equal, the furniture is already tired, but the bed linen is normal, everything is clean, the general renovation of the hotel is asking for, the dimensions are of course huge)
I do not recommend visiting this hotel. The rooms here are bad from Soviet times. If there is no heating in the city, you will freeze at night. The hotel staff will not be able to help you with the room, except to offer a 2nd blanket.
4 stars are highly inflated, at most 3 stars.
The bar is cheating with prices. There are also bad people at the reception every other time. The exchange rate is very bad, I do not advise changing money here.
The room is old, everything is broken and repaired several times. There was no water from the hot tap in the morning, they said they would turn it on after lunch, but then it didn't get cold either. Mattresses are hard and crooked. The phone didn't work, they said, but it was never fixed. There is garbage and dirt on the balcony. There was enough food in the dining room and it was delicious, but there were no places, we went to the lobby with plates through the hall. There were no dishes and appliances. I had to wait.
A beautiful hotel, the staff is polite. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. The economy room is spacious enough and has a bathtub. It is located in the very center, all the sights are nearby.
A huge hotel in the center with a Soviet touch. If you like them, go here) I like. Excellent breakfast. There is an exchange office and a restaurant for those who are too lazy to go somewhere. As well as a bar and room service
A good hotel, excellent breakfasts, but there is little room in the restaurant for so many people. The hot water is barely warm and you still need to wait 40 minutes. The beds are comfortable, the bedding is fresh and clean.
A good location is in the center, all significant places are nearby. There is a nice park opposite. City Park - 3 metro stops, 10 minutes by taxi. There is a good restaurant on the top floor, the service is fast, the dishes are delicious. I recommend it to everyone. Myself, when I go next time, I'll stop there. There was a single room suite.
A good hotel, quite up to its standard. Normal breakfasts, with a slight oriental flavor.
The view of the city from the hotel, of course, is beyond praise. But the view for the better is greatly limited by the decorative design of the facade.
There are several attractions nearby, the Tashkent chimes, for example. By the way, the chimes are striking one more beat than the time.
Anyone who wasn't there won't understand me. And who was will understand. As it was 30 years ago, everything is in the same form. It's not even convenient to write. But the ladies' rooms on the ground floor in the hall are in a terrible state. And I also wanted to call the hotel)) . Everything is old and battered . The carpet tracks are in terrible condition. Well , publish it if you want . If you want, don't post my review
The main advantage of the hotel is its central location near the Amir Temur metro station. The building has an exchange office, a cafe, a restaurant, and an assembly hall. I had a room on the 12th floor with a good renovation and new furniture. The disadvantage is that only 3-petal sockets are used according to the English standard. The Euroville can be put in there with great difficulty, but I did not succeed. Did the British build the hotel??? Before that, he lived in other hotels in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara - everywhere there were standard Euro sockets accepted in Russia.
A monument of Soviet architecture! Very beautiful! Living like in a hotel is not worth it, stay as far away from the restaurant that is on top as possible! But it is very interesting to admire the building!
The furniture is all Soviet still, the repair man is lame. The service is good, the guests are welcome. The bedding is fresh, the washbasins are too. There was a single-use razor, but there were no brushes. From the other, the whole set is standard: TV, hairdryer, safe, refrigerator, kettle, water (2 liters per day).
The location is trump. The price is not the lowest, but it is good for the city center. We took a room for 3 days - 3 nights with breakfast included. The breakfasts are not bad - there is a choice.
There is a gym, a bar, a barbershop, a restaurant on the last 17th floor - the view is awesome from it. Also, right inside on the 1st there is an exchanger, like Haoyot Bank - a good exchange rate is a dollar in a bag.
Well, Tashkent itself is when reality exceeds expectations!
The hotel is located in a beautiful location, opposite the park. At the entrance to the hotel there are "doormen" who are ready to answer any questions from tourists. There is a vase with flowers in the center of the hall. Externally, everything is beautiful, but the facade of the hotel itself is gray, nondescript and repulsive to visit, because it seems that the hotel is closed for renovation. In the hotel itself, despite the bouquets of flowers, the impression of unkemptness, remnants from the Soviet era, stagnation, and the need for cosmetic repairs is created. I once read that "if you want to have an idea about the well-groomed facilities, visit the toilets ..."
This is exactly the impression that speaks about the unkemptness of the institution and the lack of proper control...
There is a great barbershop on the ground floor. The craftsmen working there are professionals in their field. For the first time, I was happy with my new haircut. I advise everyone!
It's majestic outside. The lobby is beautiful. In the rooms of the USSR, Ancient furniture, low ceilings, sagging mattress. Sockets do not understand what standard, the Russian plug does not fit into everything. The staff is polite and smiling. A maximum of three stars.
The hotel dates back to the USSR, respectively, the design and interior from those distant times. Excellent location in the city center. The rooms are clean, the bed linen is clean, The room has everything you need including slippers, toothbrushes with paste, a shaving machine. The breakfasts are good- a buffet (there is porridge, omelette, fried eggs from the hot one). But if you travel in the cold season, keep in mind that there is no heating, it is not even provided, the blankets are very thin. There is a heater in the room, but it does not heat well. Also, the beautiful view from the window is spoiled by the railway structure located on the facade of the building. If you take into account all the nuances and be prepared for this, then you can choose this hotel because of the best location.
I liked it, honestly! A very decent Soviet hotel. For those who like to travel around the USSR, I highly recommend it. Very friendly hostesses, girls at the reception, everything is old, but you can see that they take care of it and take great care, breakfast is included, there is a currency exchange, a massage parlor. It's very cool, I would like to wish more guests to this wonderful hotel
And the prices are nice, plus it's the city center.
We held a presentation there, in a completely pleasant place, the hall is huge, since we were on the ground floor, the service was excellent. We haven't been to the rooms, so I can't say anything.
The rooms are Soviet. This has its advantages, of course, but I want more comfort.
The kitchen is at the highest level. Varied and correct portions.
Breakfast under the piano adds sophistication to the establishment.
The professionalism of the staff should be noted separately. Overall, everything is very good.
Staying at this hotel left the worst impression. The only advantage is the convenient location in the city center. Upon arrival at this hotel, the administrators were very busy and could not arrange for the end of my stay and payment for my room (however, in which I am also very disappointed), they also postponed the payment the next day until 12:00, because I left the hotel in the morning on my own business and returned at 14:00 I was charged that I have to pay a fine of 200,000 soums due to late payment. It gets even worse. A hotel employee reproaches guests during breakfast, "take as much food as you will eat.".. The food is not delicious.
There are no slippers, shampoo in the room, the toilet does not work, the air conditioner does not cool, but there is a lot of noise when turned on. You can't wait for room cleaning. There is a complete discrepancy between price and quality. Don't set foot on you anymore! 🤮
If you dream of going back to the Soviet Union, then ask for rooms on the upper floors. In addition to the polished furniture, there will be problems with hot water and heating. The split system hidden in the bedside table is not adjustable, and even if it heats up, it is constantly buzzing. But the hotel lobby and lobby are all at a good level. The guys are trying, but they can't make the old new.
In terms of price/quality and location, this is an ideal option to stay in Tashkent. The hotel itself has everything you need for a guest. Yes, it may not be as comfortable as I would like (I stayed in a suite and had my questions to my bed), but still very decent. Union Pay cards are accepted, the hotel has a currency exchange office with a good exchange rate. The staff is friendly and professional.
It's a good hotel in general. I was with my wife for 4 days in early September.
On the first day, I came across a room with a lot of problems. Even the door didn't lock...
but the next day our room was changed and life got better.
I want to mention the good breakfasts.
Very good location. The subway is under the hotel. There are many squares and parks around.
I recommend it for a humane price and acceptable quality.
A very tired hotel, there probably hasn't been a repair in the rooms for at least 10 years. There is no air conditioning, the stuffiness is terrible. Radiators for cooling do not work, the current is noise from them, for this money you can find a better hotel, even if not in the center. The breakfasts are weak, very. In general, the location is one of the advantages if you are a fan of walking, with a penny taxi... It's better not to open the curtains, the windows are full of birds 😂
The best hotel in terms of price/quality/location. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. Of the cons: I had to wait a little while when checking in (rooms were not available / did not have time to clean). I booked through the "Island". I recommend.
Who gives 5 stars - it's like we lived in different hotels. Plus one and it's bold - the location of the hotel. The rest are disadvantages: old, crumbling rooms, service, a place for breakfast - there are only 13 tables for a huge hotel. And the breakfasts themselves are not delicious.
