The worst place we stayed.
Let's start from the beginning. We arrived, we could not find the administration on the territory. Usually in normal places there is a reception desk or at least some kind of "administration" sign. Here we were pointed to a black door . Okay The receptionist greeted us with a stony face, as they say, neither hello nor goodbye. She gave me the keys to the room .
1. THE ROOM. We booked a beautiful room with a photo on the website. It was indicated that the room has a kettle, there is wi-fi. In fact, what a "beautiful" room they have - you can see on the photos I have attached. The Internet catches only in the dining room , there is no kettle . In the room of the srach. We are not squeamish, but when long black hair began to cling to my legs, I almost threw up. The lock on our door is a separate art form. It feels like the door was stolen from a dumpster. The beds are creaky. We woke up at night from our own movements in a dream... well, audibility here too . You can hear any sneeze
2. THE DINING ROOM.
We had breakfast and dinner paid for.... They were really fed some kind of incomprehensible balanda . There are approximately 60+ rooms on the territory and for all these rooms there is 1 dining room with 17 tables. It works like this: at 9 a.m., whoever managed to take over the table and the female waiter delivers the balanda. Those who did not have time, go looking for a place on the territory and stand in line to take a portion of "incomprehensible". The female waiter begins to resent that we are in the way here in the queue. They would have sat down and fed us long ago . Obviously, it was necessary to sit on the floor . In short , it 's just a SHAME , not a dining room . We can say that we were starving here .
3. BEACH/Sea
There are no complaints here . Everything was fine. The beach is at the exit of this disgusting hotel . Lots of sun beds , clean . There aren 't many people . If you move a little further away , it 's completely empty .
Total: I do not recommend anyone to visit the ARGO boarding house. He's not worth the money. The room for two is 2.600. Would you give 2.600 for what's in the photo? I wouldn't even give 1,000 for that. In a word, a dumpster :)

5) very noisy (dogs bark around the clock, roosters scream in the morning, music is loud and round the clock)
6) there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only in the dining room, and that is not very good
7) prices are atomic everywhere
8) lunch for money, or stand in a huge queue nearby in a cafe
9) sun beds are paid, 300 rubles for a comfortable one and 100 rubles for a wooden one, although at first they said that the wooden one was free
10) there are a lot of cows, and because of this, there are a lot of their droppings on the road
11) beds and floors creak and you often wake up because of this
12) there is rust in the bathroom and a large beetle was found
13) they asked to screw a light bulb into the room, no one came and did it
14) very poor lighting in the room, even if 3 of the 3 light bulbs were on

It's a disgusting place, don't come here. There are no advantages except the sea. This is not a hotel, but a dog circuit. You will not find a soap dish or a towel hook in the room. Among the advantages are air conditioning, a refrigerator and the sea 20 meters away. Disgusting staff who don't care about you. Our door lock broke on the first day, and no one came, I've been waiting for 2 hours already. The food at the hotel is terrible, only for local dogs. No more to Abkhazia, no more to the wonderful Argo Hotel. And I assure you, I have something to compare with, I do not take into account Europe, namely our resorts, Crimea, Dagestan, the Baltic Sea, Sochi, choose our resorts, but not Abkhazia. Although I hope that the case is still more or less tolerable in the hotel and other places.
And yet, I add a review a few days later, the pastel linen and towels are not changed, you will take out the garbage yourself. And rotovirus is raging in the hotel due to complete unsanitary conditions. I do not advise feeding children in the dining room, there are many cases of poisoning and so serious that children are put on ivs, I saw this myself, by the way, the hospital is quite decent and the attitude of the doctors did not cause any negative emotions.

I read the previous (last year's reviews) and was surprised. Somehow this year everything is very sad. This is the first time a vacation has been so spoiled. And you pay your hard-earned money and the prices are huge this year!
On the first day (we arrived at night), I waited 40 minutes for food and two mugs at breakfast. There's just nothing to drink tea from! She quarreled. As a result, I went to the Babylon store, it takes about 20-25 minutes to walk, it's in a residential area. They sell dishes on the 2nd floor. I left the mugs "as a gift" when I left. I just feel sorry for those who are going there. You can't eat food! It's a terrible horror. Not edible. I didn't finish cooking classes either, but I cook fine. It's disgusting. Black hairs were pulled out of the plates twice.
There is no room cleaning at all. All by myself. You can ask for a dustpan and a mop. Mold interrupts everything, we didn't know what to do. Both the window and the door were kept open. It doesn't help. Apparently, you can only get rid of mold and odor radically - burn down these huts and build new houses.
Almost everyone got sick with rotovirus in our race. Someone was already throwing up on the plane. I'm a witness. I left from 38.7. I sin against the staff (everything is on the same family here), for example: they clean the rooms only after the tourist leaves the hotel, and the clothes do not change, she cleaned in the same clothes and half an hour later walks around the dining room with trays.
The beach and the sea are the only advantages. But everything is paid. No free sunbeds. They write that in 2021 they were.
We were there from August 06-17, 2022. We stayed there for 10 days (even less!), paid for 12. We were sick once. After arriving home, they were treated for three more days. I scold myself for such disrespect and dislike of myself. To be in such a situation and for your own money is terrible

I have traveled a lot, including hitchhiking, including on a very budget basis. It's the most disgusting place I've ever seen anywhere. The "hotel" (hereinafter referred to as "kholupa") met us with overflowing basques with garbage with mountains of the same around (see photo). After checking in at three o'clock in the morning, they refused to give us a glass of drinking water, which could not be bought anywhere, starting from the very Russian-Abkhazian border. As a result, we drank the remains of the cooled water, white with scale, from a huge kettle. The alternative - salt water from the Black Sea - was still worse. We filled the doshiki with the rest of the scum water from another kettle. Of course, no one gave us clean boiling water either. And this despite the fact that the room was paid for from 14 o'clock the previous day, dinner was paid for, which neither we, nor any of the 20 tourists who probably came on the bus with us received. None of the workers of the hut even thought of leaving food for the visitors at night, although they knew about our arrival perfectly well.
Then it's more fun. Upon entering the "room" we smelled a thick, dense smell of mold. They quickly discovered that it was probably not the only source - the shower door handle (see photo), covered with various varieties of mold of many shades. The bed linen was damp and smelled of mold several times more strongly. The faucet in the bathroom was running. The dirty blinds on the window (again, see the photo) were broken, what was happening in the "room" was easily visible from the street. The double bed consisted of two single beds, placed side by side, with a hole in the middle.
They reacted very sluggishly to our statement that we were moving out the next day, explaining only that they planned to withhold payment from us for TWO days (the day before our arrival + the day on which we announced the eviction). And you won't know what happened next, because the size of the review on Yandex is limited:(

The room has creaky hard beds, a small refrigerator, air conditioning, a built-in niche with a pair of hangers, two ottomans, there is not a single bedside table, all things had to be laid out on top of suitcases on the floor, the doors are creaky, there is a toilet, a standing shower, but the water does not go away, it is useless to tell the administrators, no one does anything.
On the first day I looked under the bed, there was dust in flakes, peach pits, on the third day they were cleaned.
Meals are served twice a day, breakfast is porridge, omelette, a piece of butter and cheese, dinner is pasta with sausage or meatball with vegetables, lunches are paid to order, but in the neighboring house "Olga's" it is better more satisfying and cheaper. In general, the food is not organized, there are not enough mugs, you need to wait, the waiters do not have time to feed everyone, you need to wash the dishes several times.
The sea is nearby, the shore is pebbles, after a couple of meters sand, the water is clean, there are almost no jellyfish, jet skis and bananas do not bother, one rides the whole city.
For parking cars, we can say that there are no parking lots, there are a couple of sites for two cars each, and then if you leave, you need to let someone out.

We lived in this hotel from 09/16/21 to 09/25/21. After reading a variety of reviews, we were ready for anything. I'll probably start... We arrived at night, there was a downpour and a thunderstorm, tired from the road with baby 2.8 in our arms, we settled right away. To be honest, we didn't care where we were settled or if everything was in order, we wanted to sleep insanely. In the morning, the rested ones began to explore. Yes, the rooms are simple, but clean. If you are not satisfied with something, you can arrange to change it to another one. We were given two to choose from, thanks very much for that. The air conditioning is working, the TV is also on, there is a refrigerator in each room. There is no kettle, but you can always get hot water downstairs.
The territory is green and well maintained. There are three types of swings and a children's tricycle for children on the territory, this was enough for our baby.
Food. We took a semi-boarding house. Breakfast is always porridge plus cheese and 6 sausages. Sometimes a casserole, cottage cheese, sausages in dough were a plus. Everything is edible and delicious. Dinner is always Different: buckwheat with chicken pilaf, stewed potatoes, stewed vegetables, pasta in navy, etc. Plus a salad of fresh vegetables. We had enough and the baby was full. We went to a cafe nearby "Olga's" for lunch, where there is very tasty and homemade food.
The staff is friendly, always goes to a meeting.
It all depends on what you want and how you treat people.
The biggest plus for us is that the beach is five steps away from the hotel.
There is a eucalyptus grove nearby, which is where we went for a walk every day. There you can wander around the territory of an abandoned camp and hotels.
The nearest large store is a half-hour walk away, and the market can be reached by bus or taxi. Taxi drivers are like everywhere else, you can negotiate.
Well, if you want to see something interesting, these are excursions. They are also provided by the hotel.

We rested at the Argo hotel in August for 4 adults, 1 child 12 years old, the second 16. We booked 3 rooms through the tour operator TUI . Transfer from the airport - we took a minivan for 6 thousand rubles, the driver waited for us at the border for 1.5 hours and took us to the hotel itself. The return transfer turned out to be much cheaper with a local driver to the border, and from the border via Yandex taxi. We arrived early in the morning, settled us right away, gave us 3 rooms in a wooden block. The rooms are ordinary, not new, no frills, the air conditioners are all dusty, there are 2 towels per person.Take all soap and soap accessories with you. You also need to buy toilet paper yourself.
There is an ironing board with an iron and a kettle on site. There is no cleaning in the rooms, they swept themselves, they took out the garbage too. Air conditioning, TVs, refrigerators are in all rooms, everything is working. Upon arrival, the watering can in the shower was not working properly in one of the rooms, everything was repaired by the evening. They have other buildings 1,2,3, there are good rooms, not in wood and slightly larger in size, but they need to be booked in advance, as well as good rooms on the ground floor in a wooden building, I attach a photo.

In the morning, porridge is different every day, plus a pancake, cheese, sausage or toast fried in an egg, also with cheese and sausage or an omelet. The tea is normal, there is a tea bag in each mug, there is no slop, as it is written in other reviews, you put sugar yourself, as much as you need. For dinner: buckwheat with sausage + salad; rice + pollock + salad; pilaf, though almost without meat + salad; pasta in navy style; cutlets + salad. In general, all the food is fresh, not greasy. The food is quite good.Those who had intestinal problems could catch the infection anywhere, from the same poorly washed fruits or in other canteens, or even from the sea if the immune system is weak. The hotel has a dining room where they feed, and there is also a veranda upstairs where you can eat with a view of the sea. If you are not a pretentious tourist, you are going to relax by the sea, and the hotel is only needed for overnight accommodation, then you are here. If you need comfort and service, then there are more expensive and good hotels.

We rested in this place from July 29 to August 12, 2021. At first I was horrified. Then I slowly got used to it. The room (next to the laundry room) consists of two beds connected to one (you fall through at night), a TV (shows only NTV and Abkhazian channels,
fortunately we had a laptop with movies with us), a closet, a refrigerator, an air conditioner and a small table. There is not even a chair where you can put things. I'm not talking about glasses. There is often a problem of sewage floods in the toilet/shower, especially after the rains have passed. There's mold in the shower, spiders everywhere. But this is a matter of cleaning, we cleaned it ourselves. There is a problem with floods in this building, since all this "incense" comes from a public toilet. We faced this problem towards the end of the holiday. They also couldn't get the ants out, it was useless.
The staff is 50-50. Sincere maids, guys will also come to the rescue. I don't even want to talk about the others. I work in the travel business myself. However, in a different format. But I can say for sure that if there is a desire to develop your business and change the service, then customers would write other reviews. To begin with, at least we can establish feedback. They don't want to do that here. The food is fine, the porridge is delicious in the morning, the sausage is terrible, we had lunch in a cafe, and the dinners were not bad. I won't say anything bad about nutrition. But the queues are terrible, 40 minutes each. The picture is very "interesting" when the swearing for a place in the queue begins. Although this is a question for the people themselves. There is an ironing board with an iron outside. The beach is nearby, it's just a blessing, pebbles - whatever, but it was convenient for us. After rains and storms, it brings logs and debris to the shore, but then everything is quickly cleaned. Clean sea, warm. There is an abandoned grove on the shore. In general, a lot of things here can be described by the words "abandoned". In the same hotel, you can use the services of a guide. If it were not for excursions to the unrealistically beautiful places of Abkhazia, you can die of longing, in the evening from entertainment - only gatherings in a cafe with music or "drinking" on the territory.
There is karaoke and a good cafe at 68 Abazinskaya Street. I noticed that almost everywhere they make very tasty meat, try it. We've been to a lot of places. They also traveled to other cities of Abkhazia themselves: take a walk, gain new impressions. This can be done by yourself, having reached Gudauta, and then by minibus, or by taxi (they stand next to the hotel). Take excursions to the Ritsa, jipping in Eastern Abkhazia, New Athos, rafting... You will not regret the money spent on this. And improve your vacation with this). There is a market in Gudauta, but fruits and vegetables can be bought near the hotel. The prices are crazy. I live in the Urals and buy watermelons for 20 rubles, I come to Abkhazia and buy local watermelons there for 40 rubles. Is there any conscience or logic here? This applies to everything. Be careful not to be deceived. For example, a man on a UAZ with fruits "cheats" with a preponderance.
There are a lot of greenery, shrubs, plants, gazebos on the territory. I liked it. The rooster on the territory is screaming like crazy in the morning. The first day in the morning, I thought he was yelling right in my ear and decided to put him on the soup. Then I got used to it, but a dog appeared, which also interfered with its barking :) The lights are turned off stably from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. Or they can knock you out during the day, this has happened more than once. Because of the thunderstorm, they also cut down. Because of the power outage, there is no water. Such a snowball. Wi-FI catches only in the dining room, and when a lot of people are connected, it does not catch))) I turned off the Internet, since 350 rubles a day, be careful. Or buy a local SIM card. The room is cleaned on demand, the linen is changed in the same way. I thank the wonderful maid Anna, she helped us out.
What can I say about Abkhazia... She's beautiful! Incredibly beautiful! I would not have gone to this hotel anymore, but would have returned to Abkhazia. By the way, the Lykhny village in Yandex is written here. In fact, this is the village of Bambora. There's not much to see there, it's better to go to the city. But if you need a quiet holiday, then the village is good. It depends on which hotel. Someone goes here for the seventh time (they told me). I do not know why or why... Since I rate the hotel, not the country, then... what is, is.

The local women are very angry and always unhappy. In general, it is best to go there on your own - wherever you want to stay there, and if the village is Bambora, then it's better to rent a room at 64 Abazinskaya street sooooo good people!!! A terrible barn called the Argo Hotel.
We bought vouchers through the tour operator Tuyu.

Wishes - to organize a permanent cleaning service in the rooms. Everything else is not bad, the sea is a few steps away, meals can be ordered both at the hotel, and there are at least three more places where you can eat well and not expensively, relax, even listen to live music in one place, eat local dishes. The locals are very hospitable. At 15 minutes. the drive is the district center of Gudauta, there is an ATM, a market and everything that corresponds to the average Russian shopping center. I would recommend a vacation to those over 50 or to everyone, regardless of age, with young children. Yes, if desired, you can easily and inexpensively go to Sochi (Adler), as well as well-organized tours of Abkhazia. I was with my daughter and granddaughter. We will remember, mostly with kindness! 🤗

The journey from the airport to this place is 2 hours. There is not even an air conditioner on the bus. we settled in time, the hostess is not at all friendly. The room is terribly pink and covered in traces of blood and mosquitoes, and the toilet is swarming with them. That's horrible. 100 pieces each, plugged the hood with a napkin, even though there were fewer of them. There was never any cleaning, they asked for a broom and swept themselves. Two swings and a sickie, with which there was a construction site next to it. The food is terrible. Fat sausage. The chicken from which I first cooked the soup, and then put it on the second dish. Food is given out on coupons, ordinary pieces of paper that cannot be lost! The warning was that we should keep them like a bird of an eye. Queues for tea, it's good that we took coffee with us. You have to pray on Wi-Fi. It was not possible to talk on camera. The deck chairs are wooden, as in the USSR, and you need to drag them to the beach yourself and back too. There is no drinking water, we bought it. The sea is 10 meters away. Cows are walking, I almost ran over a child. The road is covered in cakes. We took excursions from taxi drivers, because we don't really like to listen. He'll take you wherever you want and wait. All wines are powdered, well, that's clear. The cafe on the shore is decent, there is music in the evening. It would be better to eat there. We sometimes ordered food from there for a while, because what they gave us was not possible to eat. There is a store. The sea is clear. Landscapes are super. BUT.. There are such landscapes all over Abkhazia, but it's just not decent to live in such a place! I do not recommend this place!! On the way back to the border, a phone was stolen on the bus, that was the point! We are going to Abkhazia this year, but to a good hotel. I don't want to leave a bad impression of starnan because of this terrible hotel!

The coolest thing is the people we met. It is better to take taxi drivers on excursions. We went to Sukhum at night, the driver Adam was calmly waiting for us, we visited there, like in a fairy tale, there are many cafes on the shore, and we celebrated our birthday very tasty and cheap. It's better not to go to Argo with children. One star just across the sea.

Good time of day. We vacationed in Argo with my husband in September 2019. We got there by bus from the Nizhny Novgorod region. Leonid met us at the border, took us to the place on the way, told us about Abkhazia, where it is better to go and what to do, and also treated us to delicious lavash. We were greeted at the hotel and escorted to our room. The room has everything that would be comfortable. Shower toilet TV bed wardrobe refrigerator table air conditioning. Everything is working properly, there is always hot water
The kitchen is just a delight, everything is delicious at home, everything is fresh, there are no stomach problems. You can also have a delicious meal in a cafe for 5 minutes at least at Olga's. The locals are very kind and helpful and will tell you everything. The territory of the hotel is very clean and beautiful. There are also two cafes nearby, which are also very tasty and have live music. Of course, if you go to smoke in clubs, then this place is not for you. I recommend it for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle. For recreation, there is everything by the sea 2 minutes Cafe with music shop with fresh produce excursions to choose from (but it is better to negotiate with local taxi drivers, they will take you to any location for a cheap price, they will serve you everywhere and tell you everything). And one moment is not unimportant, it's better to go there with money of 5000 they don't like at all and 1000 too.

Holidays in July 2021. It totally sucks. The room is shabby, the owner's dog barks all night, without a break. The bed consists of springs. There is no sound insulation (it seems that you sleep in a barrack behind a curtain. )you can hear every detail. Food on coupons. It is not possible to eat anything except breakfast. Wipe the tables yourself. The lights are turned off regularly. that is, there is no light and there is no water. Neither hot nor cold. There was not even a dinner for the same reason, Positive reviews are probably written by the hosts themselves. Take care of your nerves, choose another hotel.

The hotel is terrible, the rooms stink, in 9 days they have never changed towels, they have not even swept. The food is disgusting, not only is it like in the canteen, but also such simple dishes are cooked terribly, many times I came across bread with mold. If you are going to relax in this boarding house, take it without food, there is a cafe nearby. The only plus is the clear sea. Sun beds and umbrellas are paid. The beach is pebbly, deep fast, those who do not know how to swim are not very comfortable.

The location is great if you don't need parties, but you want peace of mind. The sea is 20 meters away, there is a high veranda with a wonderful view of the sea. We didn't eat in the dining room, because the food is "porridge-with-butter, soup and pasta-with-cutlet, on-the-third-compote" and all this is strictly on schedule strongly smacks of Soviet pioneer camps and boarding houses. There is parking for cars on site, which is very important. The area is decent and pleasant, there are tables outside. The rooms in our building had a toilet and a shower (there were problems with hot water, but they were solved). The staff is a little worse - the hostess is an unfriendly and rather rude lady. The guard (?) The person in charge of opening the gate rolled his eyes every time and did the greatest favor when it was necessary to open the gate for the car. It can be seen that the guests are not welcome there and they are tolerated insofar as.
