The main problem is the rooms on the ground floors. They're all mildewed and the air is stale. The rest of the floors are fine, there is a TV somewhere.
Food with minimal choice, homemade, basically everything is edible and delicious.
The sea is 30m away, a big plus.
There is nowhere to walk in the area near the hotel, except to the store and back.

I did not like this hotel, because when checking in the room there is no TV, no towels, no blankets, there is also no shower curtain. You run around begging for everything, and the organizers answer that this is Abkhazia, if you have any questions, please contact the tour operator. But the food there is excellent.

I've never seen a worse hotel!Like a terrible dream!We rested from 06/15/2024 to 06/26/2024 Breakfast porridge oatmeal or semolina on water, a piece of butter,translucent 2 half-slices sausage,tea, fried egg!For 7 days, chicken liver for lunch or dinner, sometimes meatballs, pigeon legs (Just bones 2 little things at all), for lunch salad with one carrot, or with cabbage and carrots!Soup is a separate masterpiece)))He was just a vegetable for 9 days out of 10)))There wasn't even a bone from the chicken in the whole pot)))Dinner was rice or buckwheat, noodles, boiled potatoes only 2 times, there was never any fish, milk, too, and there were no sweets and fruits at all!Dinner rice or noodles and pigeon 2 legs with your ring finger)))There is a queue for 20 minutes in the dining room, sometimes you stand for 30 minutes, later you come there are no salads or sometimes there are not enough mannikins, then there is always a crowd in the dining room!Behind the sun beds too!Right now they are being locked up on the beach, from 6 a.m. the queue is already for them!There are none after 7:30.The room was asked for 3 days just to sweep, there are no vacuum cleaners, they just swept it with a broom after 3 days of requests!In the shower, after repair, water runs from all the cracks, the floor is always in water, they soaked it constantly to wipe it, went in swept the room in the shower and did not clean the toilet)There are no TVs, the air conditioners are the cheapest, my ventilator blows better)))The water is hot in the morning, warm in the evening!And most importantly, there is Internet only by the pool, Wi-Fi is not caught in the room!In the evening, after dinner, the microphone usually disappears completely!Now about the pros, well, it's good to think about it)))))Yet there is one!The sea is really 25 meters away, garbage also floats in the water, but the water is warm and clean!And the lights are often turned off, then you'll wake up without food, they don't even have a generator, there's nothing to cook on!Ps 21st century)))

We just got back from there. The room was booked for 2 people + extra bed. The extra place is a cot that was broken. We stopped by at 3 a.m., somehow I lived on it until morning. In the morning, at the request, the cot was changed to another one. A mirror was broken in the bathroom, a watering can without a net turned out to be in the shower, the seat on the toilet was completely broken from the word. We took accommodation with breakfasts and dinners. They didn't always eat, but they fed normally. Sometimes we had lunch at the Olga cafe a few meters from the hotel.
The territory is well maintained, we did not swim in the pool, we had enough of the sea, since it is located opposite the hotel. We had a good rest, despite the living conditions.

We rested from September 15 to 22, 2024, of course I understand that this is a budget option, but you won't even want to live in a room with cockroaches for free. I don't even want to remember about the dirty room, the linen, the smell of sewage in the room. The Internet catches only in the dining room and the pool, and then not every day. A boarding house, not a hotel and not a 1-Star hotel and this corresponds to the status.There is air conditioning in the room, a TV, a decent pool and 20 m to the sea-these are advantages.Of the minuses, there is a TV, but there is nothing to watch in it, if you have hung it up, so connect a satellite TV or the Internet, what's the use of this "Black Square" picture?!?The beds are just awful.I'm light, at least I survived this week, but my husband still has a backache.The rooms in general require at least cosmetic repairs.The kitchen is about nothing, if you really take it, then only breakfast (thin porridge or scrambled eggs at best), the rest of the meals are worthless at all.VERY budget-friendly in general, but not the prices for this, unfortunately.We knew that there was something like this, it was important for us that the sailor was nearby, so we turned a blind eye to many things.We hoped to devote more time to rest, so that the room was cleaned, towels and linen were changed, but there are no such services there, ridiculously, they told us to clean up the garbage from the toilet ourselves, they gave out a package.Type of room cleaning on demand.Well, they spat, they coped themselves.Next time we will rent a house from a private owner, it will be cheaper, there is still 0 service there

We had a rest in Argo from 13.08 to 26.08. Our trip was not planned, we bought vouchers for a Dolphin tour, what was cheap for the price plus we did not want to cook ourselves, so breakfast + dinner suited us quite well. There were also cheap rooms in Bombora (this is a village), but there was no food. We read the reviews before the trip, but we decided to relax, because it was the first time we went to Abkhazia. We arrived at 10 a.m., the administrator said no, it will be at 11. But, fortunately, a woman met us, apparently she is there as a caretaker, cleans the rooms, keeps order. She said there are two rooms to choose from, we looked at it ourselves and chose in a separate building (one-storey), opposite the pool. Yes!!! Economy rooms!!! But, people who are outraged later, do you really expect something else for such pennies?! Everything is primitive. This is the whole of Abkhazia. And if you have money, take vouchers to rooms worth it. The audibility is decent, also not particularly pleasant. I can't say for the water that it was cold, if you let it down, it was hot. Beds, yes, scrunching, it was also a little annoying. But, again, you initially pay less money for vouchers than there is in the district without food. From the very first days we "copied" what was happening in the dining room. We came later, went up to the terrace, from there we had a great view of the sea, had breakfast and dinner there. And in the evening they brought delicious drinks and snacks with them and "chili" with pleasure))) the place is calm. Yes, music was blaring late a couple of nights, but so did other boarding houses in the area.
Abkhazians are a people who do not strain themselves. They don't rush, they don't fuss. We couldn't figure it out either, but come on, make money, see how many opportunities there are. But we accepted their reality and had a 100% rest. The food, by the way, is normal. Again, it's all about money! We heard the dissatisfied conversations of other vacationers, like everyone else, but it was clear from their faces that people themselves were angry, dissatisfied with life in general. For a penny, at least 5 stars. Yes, the owners have a lot to grow, they earned a lot during the season, it's worth investing. But this land is after the war and I think it is still in a depressed state. Abkhazia, beautiful! Nature gives strength. The sea is clear. I want to come back again. But let's try the Apsny boarding house, which is located nearby))) it remains to save some money. And also, be friends with the taxi drivers on the corner at Argo, they will tell you everything about the tour, and another great man, Ashot, who drives on dirt in the village. Primorsky. Cafe with "Olga's", which is also praised in the reviews, I would like to mention. Delicious, decent.

We had a rest in August 2023. I do not recommend this boarding house to anyone. The only plus is two steps from the sea. The rest are all cons. The beds are old and creaky, it's not very comfortable to sleep, the mattresses are sagging, the plumbing is dead, the shower curtain is dirty. There has never been a room cleaning in all this time. There are dirty tables in the cafe. You can still eat breakfast and dinner is a horror soup empty broth with undercooked potatoes. We caught a rotavirus pharmacy nearby there is no taxi 250r and it takes five minutes to drive. The lights and water were turned off several times.

The worst hotel in the world. Not even a hotel, but a barrack. Furniture from the landfill, if broken, the boards are nailed right along the bed. The Internet works only in the dining room, not in the rooms. The TV doesn't work, it shows one terrible program. The air conditioner is not regulated, sometimes it works at plus 15 at night, many have caught a cold. The toilet bowl is from a landfill, or removed from a public toilet, with yellow traces for 20 years, has not been washed and stinks. It is impossible to sit on the toilet, it is close to the wall, and you have to step over it if you go into the shower. Gopyachaya water happens early in the morning, in the evening it is very difficult to wash, a thin trickle. The walls are cardboard, the audibility of the neighbors from above is excellent. Terrible staff. They don't clean the rooms, you have to ask them to clean up. Sometimes a young woman sits at the so-called reception, who, with undisguised cynicism, smiles at all requests to move to another room, replace a burned-out light bulb and says that you knew where you were going, that the hotel is like this, the light bulb will not be changed at 9 pm, because you need to call someone, and so on. The most terrible thing is that this is all said by a young woman who should be kind and sweet, and fulfill the duties of taking care of the guests. I was placed on the 1st floor, with windows facing the courtyard, there are no curtains. I ask you to hang the curtains, he asks why you need curtains. I asked for 3 hours. Other staff with the same cynicism treats the requests of guests, and in response says that everything is even worse in Russia, and nothing, everyone lives in barracks and so on. The impression is that I have been in prison. One of the advantages is the sea view from the terrace on the 2nd floor near the dining room and beautiful flowers on the territory. If you want to arrange a psychotraining on the topic: all people are different, even the boorish staff of idlers from the Argo hotel, but mentally you need to wish everyone well and love them with all your soul, like Christ, Buddha and Mother Teresa, then yes, you are here. Anyone who respects himself at least a little will not come here. This hotel forms an impression about Abkhazia right away, it will never be corrected later.

Yes, there is no sound insulation in the rooms - this is a minus. But it was clean, the air conditioner and refrigerator were working (with us). Ask them to clean up, the linen will be changed.
They feed you at home, but if you don't like it, then a taxi to the center is nearby, although cafes are not bad nearby on foot. The sea is completely 20 meters away, clean, sun beds could be cheaper for the guests (as a bonus) The pool was filled before our departure, unfortunately, we did not have time to try it out. I'll have to come back. This is not a 5*, so do not expect that you will be followed and cleaned at every step, just try not to shit yourself.

We had a vacation in August with my husband in this "boarding house", since this was my first trip to the sea at all, I expected the best

As soon as we arrived, not "hello", not "welcome". The receptionist with the face "how you've already got me." The walls are so thin that they could hear everything and everyone. As soon as we checked in, we saw a cockroach in the bathroom, decided to leave everything in a suitcase and spent the whole vacation on suitcases, as they say. As for the food, it's disgusting and not tasty, the lights were turned off for breakfast a couple of times, and therefore, apart from a piece of white bread and a piece of sausage, which we were afraid to even give to local dogs. When asked what will be for breakfast except bread and sausage, they replied, "well, if they give light, then we can put porridge at 11-12 o'clock." I also attach a photo of one of the dinners, KAMON guys, what kind of dinner is this? Well, people don't pay you 10-15 thousand for accommodation, they could cook something normal. If you did not come for tomorrow an hour before the start, then you can safely wait another two hours until the MUGS AND SEATS are free!
When I asked for a thermometer on the second day, they didn't give it to me, though, with sidelong glances and with the phrase "do you have a covid?" Have you heard the word "acclimatization" yourself? The thermometer was without packaging, I asked for a napkin, to which I heard "there is nothing, they do not disdain here." They probably turned off the water, lights and WiFi once a day. When I asked if there was a cleaning service in the room and a change of linen and towels, I heard in response, "well, if you want at will." I asked for cleaning in a day so that after the sea I could come and relax in a clean and fresh place, as well as wash and wipe my face not with a DIRTY TOWEL, But CLEAN. But after cleaning, I saw a new bed, not the freshest and cleanest, no one changed the towels. No one provided us with toilet paper either)
They also have a separate "set lunch" for 400 rubles per person, we decided to try it, we thought maybe it would be better for a fee. They brought us the first and the second, they didn't give us a choice for the first and the second. When I went to the kitchen and asked them if tea was allowed, they replied, "tea is not included in the price of lunch, we can give you a mug and boiling water only." I do not advise anyone to go to this "boarding house" or whatever they call themselves. The place is rotten and you are not considered human there)

We rested together from 31.07. to 08.10.2022 in the second building. I must say that we really enjoyed the rest in general. Abkhazia is an incredibly beautiful and hospitable country! The Argo Hotel is a separate topic! The guys are the hosts! Have you ever heard of the hotel business?? Apparently not.. We advise you to send anyone from the staff for training, at least the receptionist's girlfriend with an eternally "absent" face. Of course, the business is family-run, everything is for the family.. but don't forget about the people who pay you. A beautiful area, green, shady, full of flowers and fruit trees, but everything is not cleaned, crushed pears, plums, garbage on the paths, this is just the tip of the iceberg! Rooms: the audibility is such that I'm sorry, if there was a quiet fart in the next room, it seems to be under your ear, I woke up several times from the stomping of feet, terrified that someone was walking through our room... It's creepy. The conder barely worked for us, it stood at 16 degrees all the time-zero sense! It was stuffy, they kept the door open all the time. Towels and bed have not been changed once. They didn't even ask, because they had heard that the staff had to be followed for several days with a request to change something. They took out the garbage themselves. The only plus is the building is away from the entrance, we enjoyed the silence. Special attention is paid to catering and catering services! This is generally a caper! We ate breakfast-the porridges were delicious, but the dinners... I beg you, I didn't even eat this at school in the 80s..it's absolutely not tasty, we just went to dinner, took with us what they give and fed the local dogs (there are a lot of them running along the shore!) They never gave a normal salad / (there are plenty of vegetables at this time), no baking at all, they gave one pancake and an uneatable bun a couple of times for breakfast, Everything is not organized so much, it's just creepy! Why not put a kettle and two cups in each room, for example??? Then they wouldn't be outraged that they were taking glasses from the kitchen. The refrigerator, it's good that it was on that one -thank you. Kai's campsite is that, not a hotel! They take advantage of the fact that the sea is two steps away! But for the excursions - many thanks to Marina! And generally to the sympathetic, kind, hospitable people of Abkhazia! If it works out, we will definitely come again, but not to Argo!

The reviews are true - rooms, food, audibility, cleanliness - everything is at zero. Dirty old creaky room, appliances (air conditioner and TV) can be said to be on their last legs, there is no hot water, the water heater is small, the two of them already have to save a lot of water. I won't complain about breakfasts and dinners, from time to time it was fine, about like in a medium-quality dining room. The queues for mugs and the crush are all true. Don't waste money, it's better to eat in a cafe nearby.
The service is like in the village at grandma's - it's not there, everything is by yourself) the old bed linen, faded from time, was washed before arrival, thanks for that.

But it was possible to survive, the most annoying thing is that when we paid for three days of administration, we were not given any paper about payment. And when we lived for two days and had to leave urgently (we were told that yes, they would refund the money upon check-in), the administrator disappeared, we could not find him in the evening and in the morning, the authorities said that she was fired, and we had to live in the database for two days, although we paid for three, moreover we paid for three rooms. They just made a fool of us that it was written down to them, and they don't have the amount they paid. And they don't believe us and we can't prove it, because they didn't give us anything, not a check, not a piece of paper. We booked and paid directly, not through the website.
They cheat and throw money there. I don't recommend it to anyone. It's better to look again and think about whether it's worth checking in there.

A one-star boarding house deserves a one-star rating. All reviews above this are profanation. The beach is dirty nearby, garbage bins are not provided, there is no cleaning. There are not enough dishes in the dining room. Compared to the Turkish Fives, argo is simply terrible. But this is an Abkhazian unit, therefore there is nothing to be offended about, it corresponds to the declared stardom. That's just the cost of the holiday comes out as in the top five Turkish ....

A real review:I arrived at this hotel in the period from 09.07.22 to 16.07.22 the flight was excellent there are no questions to the airline (Aeroflot well done) upon arrival we were met by an individual transfer and all the advantages ended, we arrived for a long time about 2.5 hours in the evening at around 21:30 naturally no one fed us dinner although this day breakfast and dinner are already it was paid for. Next, we were settled in room 310 modestly, there is a musty smell, the food was not very well fed, so I think that it is not worth taking breakfasts and dinners, we were also unlucky with the weather, 3 of the 6 days were only sunny, the rest of the days were rainy, well, nature let us down, the sea is dirty, comparing with the gags the difference is obvious, well and this village is the most natural in no way of entertainment, cafes put on the same music so you don't dance much, and there's nothing more to do there, this hotel is not for young people there you don't have to do anything, don't spend money, grandmothers and those over 50 are probably the most. The hotel has something to work on, sorry, but we will not come to you anymore.

We trusted her experience and wide smile and booked trips here. Upon arrival home, I climbed in to read the reviews. After all, the Internet is a great force! It turned out that the rating of the "hotel" is far from five stars and the reviews leave much to be desired. I tried to reissue vouchers to a nearby boarding house, but there were no more places. Having plucked up the courage and convinced ourselves that we needed to see for ourselves, we drove off. Unfortunately, I lived here for five days, I can say that everything negative in the reviews turned out to be the sad truth. The service at the hotel, as in Abkhazia as a whole, is completely absent. Upon arrival, we were met at the reception by an extremely uninterested girl. With complete indifference, she handed over the room keys, but it is worth noting that she immediately warned about "cleaning the room on request." Tired from the road, we just took the keys and went to rest. After resting, we went down to dinner. There was already a full house at the tables an hour before the start. Having found an empty seat, we waited. And so the kitchen doors opened and the mugs were taken out! A crowd of grannies fiercely began to fight for mugs. Unknowingly, I got into the thick of things. Elderly women, never shy of the norms of morality, fought their way to the circles. But, having taken possession of the mug, you also need to have time to get boiling water! In the following days, deciding not to make a stampede, but to wait, we realized that there might not be enough boiling water and mugs for everyone. It became clear why the grannies were making a stampede. The women who work at the hotel are also not hospitable, but it is worth noting that, upon request, they can arrange portions of breakfast or dinner separately on a tray to move to free tables, where they do not reach, on their own. Breakfast and dinner are mediocre. More for show than to feed.

We rested on social media.Judging by the reviews, nothing has changed for the tour in 2015... I hope the carousel was removed, where the boy's finger was torn off in front of us. Thank God there was a mom-educator nearby and the finger was put in ice, taken to the hospital, but in Abkhazia they did not come like that and had to be taken to Adler. The water was constantly turned off and the lights were turned off, vacationers went to the sea, and the taps were not turned on. Bottom line: the lower floors are flooded. Pros: near the sea. There are also abandoned Soviet sanatoriums nearby, it's creepy, but the red carpets starting from the second floor and eucalyptus trees make you go back to the past...

We had a rest from June 21 to July 1. This is not the first time in Gudauta, but it was the first time they took the hotel, they usually went themselves (as a savage). Right on the seashore, everything is in wood, a wooden veranda hangs directly over the sea. A beautiful well-maintained garden (persimmons, pomegranates, cherries, apples, pears, bananas, tangerines, bamboo, etc.). Shady paths. The hotel and rooms are wooden. There is a small refrigerator with a freezer, a cupboard, a cupboard. The TV didn't work, but we didn't need it. This year, the hotel was painted in a velvet sea color. The staff and hosts are friendly and helpful. They always went to a meeting, to help. We did not see or hear any roosters or dogs, only the sound of the sea and the singing of birds of paradise from 4 to 5 in the morning, which you get used to on the second day. Wi-Fi catches at the dining room, around the hotel, on the veranda and a little on the beach. The rooms used the Internet of the neighboring hotel. I don't understand the outrage about the coverage area. And where, gentlemen, have you seen the coverage area in the entire resort, say in Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia??? 3 stars or 5, no difference, hotel, lobby bar, rooms (rarely catches everywhere), and then on the beach and outside the hotel there is terrible roaming (it is better to turn off mobile data immediately) and Wi-Fi only in cafes. We went to Athos ourselves, there is a city bus from the hotel to the market for 30 rubles, from the market to walk 1 block and there are minibuses to Athos for 150 rubles. You walk, see the beauty, cool off by the mountain rivers, and then back the same way. It is perfectly possible to do without a car with a condom, limited time and a "zuzuzu" guide. Athos does not tolerate fuss, you need to walk along it on foot, taking your time. The center and the market can be reached on foot 3-4 km, or by bus. There is a very beautiful park, a marble staircase, magnolias bloom low, you can smell them. Eucalyptus trees. Despite the heavy rains and tornadoes in Sochi, we had a great rest! We lived in building 3, apartment 311 from 30.07 to 06.08. A decent room, air conditioning works. Good repair, it was clean upon arrival, decent bed linen. Beautiful territory, courteous administrator, clean sea and interesting excursions (they can be bought from the agent directly in Argo) Of the cons: Terribly uncomfortable beds, two single beds pushed together. The result was a hole in the middle. Audibility (the neighbors had a child and we heard all their scandals). The food is like in the dining room, it's okay for someone, but it seemed a little greasy to us. Cleaning on request (we didn't even ask for) A broken rim by the toilet. I'm shooting a star for this.

We stayed at this hotel from July 25 to August 1, 2022. We arrived on vacation from Tyumen. Me and two children aged 15 and 11. I want to note right away that we went to the sea and not to noisy parties, we did not lose at all. This hotel is just the place for families with children! Breakfasts and dinners are not very bad, we ate porridge and soups, some pastries. I had enough to eat. As for the queues in the dining room, everything depends on you, you don't want to stand in line, come for breakfast and dinner a little later, why break down like from a hungry island)
The rooms are middle class, we lived on the 2nd floor, the room has a refrigerator, TV and air conditioning. Everything is in working order. The rooms are simple, but quite comfortable. The bed linen is clean, the shower works without interruptions and there is always light. The Internet does not catch in the room, but it catches well on the territory! No dogs and roosters and other animals bothered us. There were a lot of vacationers with young children, but even this is not a problem due to the large territory, there is enough space for everyone both for privacy and for company gatherings.
Nearby there is a cafe "Olga's" 100 meters away where we had lunch, the average check for 3 people is 1000 rubles. everything is delicious at home. They accept payment by transfer, there is Wi-Fi for these purposes. In general, it is better to have cash with you and preferably not big money, because the card is not accepted everywhere. But in the Maria store, opposite Olga's cafe, there is a payment terminal. The prices there are quite reasonable!
Excursions were taken at the entrance to our hotel, a pleasant woman sells and tells everything! Taxi drivers offer to take you to the lion farm, who are at the beach from morning until late at night, it's not worth going there, it's very boring and quite expensive for such an event. Several lions, 1 camel and a pair of horses, the price of pleasure is 500 rubles per person and it costs the same to get there by taxi. 3 people , 3000 rubles. There's nothing to see there!
A taxi to the market costs 150 rubles, a bus costs 30 rubles, the schedule is accurate on the veranda and at the reception.
Now the most important advantages are THE SEA ACROSS THE STREET. The veranda offers a divine view of the sea and the beach. The sea is clean and the beach is not crowded at any time.
Of the minuses, this is the border and the traffic jams in front of it! It's hard with children, but bearable!
Otherwise, everything is fine, no worse than in other resorts of our vast country!
A quiet, family vacation by the sea is just in Gadaut, in Argo.
By the way, there is another more expensive Apsny hotel nearby, if someone needs too comfortable rooms, then I think it will do!

It's just a horror, not a hotel, the only advantage next to the sea. Breakfast is dinner, the portions are small, they give the usual porridge for breakfast, wherever else, dinner was just given to the dogs. The linen was not changed more than once in a week, the garbage was also taken out by themselves.
I want to say separately about the transfer, we got from Sochi airport to the hotel for 6.5 hours, despite the fact that we crossed the border in 1.5 hours. We stood on the street near the airport for more than 3 hours and collected a huge bus.
And we also got up for an excursion , no light, no water, and went hungry and not washed.
I brought a can of coffee from Moscow (I have already learned from trips around Russia that you need to take everything with you), so there is also a whole problem to drink it, you need to carry your own cups and water usually happens only during mealtimes.
It's a complete nightmare😢

We rested in Argo from the 26th to the 31st of August.
The advantages are the first line from the sea, friendly staff, the garden on the territory is a romantic place (figs, persimmons, pears).
Cons-there is strong audibility in the rooms, if there are loud neighbors above you, you are out of luck.The TV is not working.
And the most unpleasant minus is a weak diet.Not once in 6 days has there been a single vegetable salad, lettuce, not a single tomato or cucumber.And this is in the middle of summer!It's just a shame.

This is the boarding house of the most economical housekeeper. The location is excellent, right on the beach. The beach is pebbly, I normally did not like the child. The room is bad, the handles on the doors don't work, the TV doesn't show, it hurts to watch the rest. It's a problem with the feed, to eat semolina porridge in the morning you need to stand for 40 minutes. in the queue. And when the turn comes, the cutting of 2 pieces of sausage and cheese ends. We stopped eating there, went to the next canteen, although the food was paid for. Chickens are running around the territory and the rooster starts crowing at 4 a.m., but it prevents you from sleeping. The sea is clear. The local guys are great. The child liked it very much, there were a lot of animals - cows (she only saw them on TV or in books), horses, rabbits, chickens, almost a petting zoo. There is tin at the border, our customs officers are not ready, they stood in line for 3.5 hours, they were lucky to get back for 30 minutes. Those who have been to Abkhazia will understand instead of the closed Turkey.

I rested at Argo (under the reservation agreement) from 08/08/12 to 08/14/12, but actually stopped by the fault of the hotel on 08/19/12 at 19.00. I am writing a review specifically about the hotel, not about the sea and the local population.
I arrived at Argo on 08/08/22 at 19.00 (not through the fault of the hotel, this is a separate story). I traveled to Abkhazia for almost 20 hours, sat for a long time near the administrator's office on a suitcase and every 15-20 minutes the passing staff promised that the administrator was about to come. She came over and informed me that they didn't have any seats for me. How is this acceptable!!! I was outraged, because I fully paid for the reservation in a month!!! She informed me that they have 10 more people waiting in line to check in. She offered me to spend the night in another hotel, and in the morning at 8 o'clock I would be picked up by taxi and checked into the Argo. I got into their position and agreed (and in vain!!! Don't repeat my mistakes!!!) I agreed because I was very tired, I wanted to wash and eat. I was placed in a hotel under construction (it's good that the owner turned out to be a decent person). It's good that I had soap, toilet paper, and a towel with me, because at 8:00 p.m. I couldn't have bought such a good thing anymore.
Morning at 8.00 I'm waiting on a suitcase. There is no taxi. 8.15...8.30 - no one. I asked the owner to call Argo and ask when they would come for me. And they answer him: - Let you have it for now, we don't have any places…
I found out from the owner how to get to the Argo and went to them myself. It takes half an hour to walk to them. I came, and they answered me - at 12.00 they would rent out a room and take me with a suitcase to Argo. I had breakfast and returned to my suitcase by 12:00. The owner of the house went to Sukhum on business. There is no taxi. The time is 13.00 - no one. I turned to another local for help (the world is not without kind people), he is a friend of the owner of the house. He helped me get an Argo phone number and gave me his phone with a local SIM card. I called them and started yelling at them on what grounds I was being ignored!!! After that, they came for me in 10 minutes. They brought him to the hotel and began to persuade him to wait until 19.00. I said I would stay with them. I went to the toilet on the street, changed clothes right at the administrators. 08/9/12 at 19.00 they gave me the keys, silently, with a look as if they had accepted a street kid.
I had a half-pension (breakfast and dinner). I really ate the first two days. Then I voluntarily refused to eat there and I don't advise anyone. I ate at my own expense at Olga's cafe. Delicious, affordable, I advise you. A separate review.
There were constantly not enough mugs in the Argo dining room. On the second day, I and some others were given plastic cups, which immediately shrank from the hot water (later I bought a souvenir mug at a local store). For the first dinner, vegetable slush was served with a piece of zucchini, eggplant and meatball. On the second evening, they gave the same meatball with green pepper marks. When I asked what it was, they told me it was stuffed peppers. I didn't eat there anymore. Sometimes I took a bag of tea and bread there.
Because the administration does not explain the living conditions (to anyone), we communicated with each other, figuring out how life works here. And then I found out that I wasn't the only one who didn't check in right away and I was lucky with the owners who sheltered me.
The quality of breakfast and dinner was mostly tolerated by the elderly. They humbly accept both the living conditions and the rude attitude just because the sea is nearby.
The room corresponds to the "housekeeper". I didn't expect more. Just the necessary minimum. The floors and corners are poorly washed, I walked with a rag myself. The linen is clean; air conditioning, refrigerator, shower are working; soap, toilet paper, towels are available.
After checking in, the receptionist told me to come over, in order to make amends through a free tour. When I came up, she was very surprised, said it was the first time she had heard such a thing. I said I won't run after you anymore.
Among the services, there is an "expedited check-in/ check-out" - this is an outright lie!!!
