I would like to leave as unbiased a review as possible, and to be honest, I can't raise my hand above three stars. Mostly due to the lack of sound insulation in the rooms of the second building (our room is 2307). It took a long time to choose a hotel. The requirements were as follows: all-inclusive meals (with current prices in shops and cafes in Turkey, there is no point in eating out), a fresh hotel with a normal renovation, no animation, and of course a budget. I must say right away that the ticket ended up costing a quarter more than what I had hoped for, but the choice fell on the Side Square Hotel precisely because, in general, it was suitable for all points, and for the third week in a row I no longer had the strength to look for something suitable. All that was cheaper was roulette - no luck. By the way, as I understand it, this is a common story for a Turkish holiday. Because I went there for the second time, and it was very difficult to choose a more or less decent hotel with less than 5 stars again. So, the specifics: The condition of the hotel is new, but there are signs of exploitation almost everywhere. Apparently, the quality of finishing works and materials is affecting. The design of all the areas in the hotel is pleasant and interesting. The room is right away, we lived in the second building, room 2307. It is considered a standard, but differs from the standards in the first building indicated in the photo by tour operators. By the way, there were standard rooms in the same building with a much larger area. Among the disadvantages, a small area, a shared balcony, windows into windows with neighbors, the presence of mold and fungi on the grout between the tiles in the bathroom, a broken shower watering can, and a complete lack of sound insulation. You will hear your neighbor snoring, talking or watching TV behind the wall. We were lucky, and our demands to the neighbors, conveyed through the reception and the Anex representative, were heard, and people were forced, though not immediately, to stop watching TV and start talking much quieter. We behaved accordingly in exactly the same way, so as not to bother anyone. Another disadvantage would be a refrigerator powered by a shared network. That is, they pulled out the card and left, the refrigerator turned off. The air conditioner is there and it was working, but it had traces of dust and dirt inside, so we didn't use it. There is no ventilation in the room itself. At least I didn't find ventilation ducts on the walls in either the bathroom or the toilet. Cleaning for three. Infrequent and superficial. The linen has not been changed once in 11 days. The towels were changed once, a week before the end of the rest. Among the advantages: good design, comfortable mattress, fresh furniture, plumbing (except for the shower head), a sufficient amount of household chemicals. That's about it. Nutrition: The food is generally good. There were a lot of fruits - there were pears (very tasty), plums, oranges, bananas, grapes, melon a couple of times in 11 days. Lots of cheeses, herbs, sauces. Everything else is generally standard, as in most hotels in Turkey, but of good quality. Meat was given every day, fish 2 times during the entire period (they fried a very tasty dorado). The big disadvantage was the lack of porridge at breakfast. Beef tongue is one of the most delicious meat dishes. He was beautiful. Unfortunately, almost all the chicken dishes were very tough, apparently the chicken itself was over-frozen. Of the disadvantages, the following can be noted: For example, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, which I prefer to eat for breakfast, were prepared a little later than the actual start of breakfast, rather than in advance, and I had to wait. On average, these positions were prepared by 7:50-8:00. Tableware. The reviews say that it is dirty, but these are just signs of exploitation, since the dishes are made of a material that is very heavily rubbed. Another disadvantage was the deep-fried oil. It was obviously changed very rarely, and by the middle of the rest, it was already turning my stomach. But if you don't eat French fries, onion rings or meat patties for the afternoon meal that they cook in it, this problem will pass you by. Alcohol - the beer is delicious but almost alcohol-free, the rest is local alcohol, which I prefer to stay away from. The service was settled without any problems. We arrived at 7 a.m., and were already in the room at 9:30 a.m. There are no complaints about the staff. A big plus is the Russian-speaking administrator Alina. Thank her very much. The beach is easy to understand, it is a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel. There is a shuttle service (Dalmus), but most of the time it is packed, and it is not very convenient in time (especially back), so in 70% of cases we walked. The sun beds are cool, but there are quite a few damaged ones. There are fewer sun beds than the total number of hotel guests. Sometimes, not everyone present had enough. Umbrellas made of natural materials are also cool and look photogenic. A beach bar is rather a useless function - well, if you only take water from the refrigerator. The sand is dirty - there are cigarette butts and algae. Negative emotions remained from the employee of the bar on the beach: she offered a drink that she made from what she took in the morning at breakfast at the hotel (mint, lemon), and once, in a very brazen manner, she included from the translator what she wanted to tell us when we asked for such a drink for the second time in a week. day: "They say it is not included in the concept, and she makes it of her own free will, and it is paid." We clarified at the hotel reception, of course this is not the case, but there was no desire to use the services of the beach bar anymore. It became clear that in this way she just wanted a tip. The entrance to the water is very long - you will walk 100 meters to the beginning of the depth. I don't like that. It might be good for someone. The location was very good, which was also a crucial factor. The center of Side, the old town is a 10-minute walk away, to the New Mall where normal branded stores are represented, not Chinese consumer goods, 5 minutes by minibus, to the center of Manavgat 15. The bus stop is nearby. Nearby there are grocery stores Migros and A-101, currency exchange. In the hotel itself, visitors in 70% of cases are European pensioners (Germans, Poles, Balts), 30 percent are Russians. We had a rest in October. P.S. In general, about the assessment. Since my bar for 4* hotels is quite high (and the benchmark for me is one fairly modest 4* Cypriot hotel in Ayai Napa), then the Side Square Hotel is of course 3* by this standard. But compared to our previous 4* hotel in Turkey, which, by the way, has already been downgraded to 3 this year, Side Square is certainly a confident Turkish four. Draw your own conclusions.

The hotel's very good location is in the center of Side, close to all the attractions. You can go to the old town and look at the temple of Apollo every day, and this is the main advantage. The food is delicious, the choice is large. You can drive to the beach, or you can walk - not very far, it's quite realistic to walk, unless it's very hot outside. The beach itself is good: the sand, the fish did not bite (they were in October), there is a toilet. The big minus is that my friend and I were given a room with one bed! We didn't sign up for this! At the same time, they lied all the time. At first they said that we only need to spend one night in this room, the next day we will change it, and as a bonus they will give us an improved room. The next day, they reported that there were no other numbers. But! If you want, pay extra and take an improved room! No one remembered yesterday's promise to give an improved room at no extra charge, as a bonus. In the end, it was only by putting pressure on Anex's manager that they managed to get another room with two beds. True, there was a blockage of the sewer in the shower in this room, the water did not go away, but these are small things. The sewer system was promised to be repaired several times, but it was never repaired. We have heard from tourists who visit this hotel regularly that the management has changed. Maybe that's where all the maintenance issues come from. The complaints are specifically about the reception, where they lied all the time, the other hotel staff are working normally, there are no complaints.

We stayed at this hotel in June 2023 and October 2025. The hotel is modern and stylish. Excellent location, 15 minutes walk to the old town and the embankment. The most beautiful tourist place! The amphitheater, the temple of Apollo, the picturesque ruins, the shopping streets, the marina - it's all very beautiful! Now there is a bar on the hotel beach, although only water was free...I don't know, maybe it's related to the end of the season...as well as the lack of some drinks in the hotel bar, and a modest selection of dishes. It was richer 2 years ago!! Once a week there is a concert, they perform foreign covers. And crazy Russians come with an accordion, and sometimes they perform too! (This is us))) We loved the hotel, and we will come back here again! The price-quality ratio is optimal.
