It was December 27th. It was snowing. Fog. Unfortunately, nothing is visible. I'm lowering my rating because I was upset by the huge number of touts, it's just impossible to pass calmly. The feeling of calmness and enjoyment from walking is lost. Admission to the temple itself is free. Parking is paid. 1000 AMD in cash, 1200 AMD by card (payment at the cafe). It seems that we were deceived with the cost of parking.

This is one of the most unpleasant impressions, as the tourist site looks sad, spontaneous shops and beggars spitting after you, greatly discredit the oldest religious monument in Armenia.

The view is dizzy! This is the lake! The monastery is also cool, ancient, we were at Christmas, there was a service! I love ancient places with a history! This is exactly it!

A beautiful monastery on the cape. It is worth getting up to take in the majestic panoramas of Sevan, with an old and elegant church against their background. The only thing is that sometimes too brisk trade is conducted on the steps, it tires.

Sevanavank Monastery and Lake Sevan. A harsh, cold place. Even in summer it's cool here, and the water temperature is +17 degrees. The place is purely touristic. If you want spiritual silence, it is better to drive on for 30 km and get to the Hayravank monastery.

A beautiful temple, a very beautiful place. It is very easy to pray in it. The soul rejoices. Magnificent views in any direction to the horizon. You can walk and enjoy, you can go on a water excursion, beautiful unusual souvenirs.

A place of power, a place for reflection, awareness of being, where every minute is like a reminder of history, an event that has happened over the centuries.

A beautiful ancient monastery on the shore of Sevan. There are many cafes and hotels nearby. And don't tell me that Sevan is not the sea.

A very popular monastery with stunning views of Sevan. The cost of free parking is 200 AMD (I wonder who is protecting this "business" and whether the authorities are not ashamed to ignore this shame). There are a lot of goodies and souvenirs in the walking area. Climb up the steep steps to the monastery, calculate your strength.

A picturesque place. Climbing up the many steps to Sevanovank, you can enjoy an incredible view of Sevan. The monasteries themselves are not very remarkable, let's just say there are many of them all over Armenia. You can put a candle in temples, but it is better to buy it near the monastery, and not at the foot of the stairs, it is much more expensive there. Souvenirs are located along the length of the stairs, and Mir cards are accepted in several places. The toilet near the temple is paid, the visit to the monastery is free.

The temple itself is beautiful, but its location is even more beautiful, being near it you can observe Lake Sevan completely, as much as the eyes see of course. I definitely recommend visiting all visitors.

The cape itself is amazing, the view of the lake is 360 degrees, there is a place to meditate. The temple itself is modest, austere, and dark. The climb is not the most convenient, if you get into the season at all, probably do not disperse on the narrow steps.

We were taken on an excursion to Lake Sevan and we came to the monastery, words cannot describe the magical beauty that opens onto the lake and the peace next to the shrine, which preserves a thousand-year history. We were at a service on a day off, and we heard a church choir. And they saw the greatness in the temple.

The most beautiful views! A holy place! But do not buy a moonstone near the monastery, either by itself or products made from it - a fake at an inflated price.

A wonderful monastery! You should definitely go to the top of the hill and look in all directions at Lake Sevan and the surrounding mountains. After all, the monks knew how to choose the most wonderful places to build churches and monasteries. The surrounding beauty is simply breathtaking!

It's very beautiful at the top. You will have to climb the stairs. There is a very strong wind at the top, about 20 m/s, but the photos are very beautiful. It is better to use a camera if there is one. The phone may be blown away by the wind. Wear both a hat and gloves on top! The wind!

It's a beautiful place. There is a functioning church. There are no problems with parking. Even with a lot of people, you can manage to take photos without people. You can book a guided tour. Merchants are standing at the bottom and not on the rise.

Before the lake was crushed, the peninsula was an island, it was separated from the mainland by a 3-kilometer strait, so fishermen and fugitive criminals mainly settled on it. At the time when the monks chose the island, a stone wall was built encircling it with a watchtower and a small gate. Inside the wall there were four churches, cells for monks and numerous outbuildings.

Place of power) Previously, the monastery was on the island, now that the level in Sevan has become lower, it is already a peninsula. There are steps leading to the monastery. There are a lot of them and that's the beauty of it too. There are rest areas during the ascent. The monastery itself has survived its former glory and greatness, now there are only a couple of churches and the foundations of buildings, which now only remind of themselves with these foundations. But the view around is simply amazing. The color of the lake is azure, around the mountains, clouds and some kind of endless expanse. It's very cool.

This is an iconic place, which is depicted on millions of postcards and paintings, an ancient church and a view of Lake Baikal.Sevan is a must-visit for everyone who comes to Armenia. To take a photo on her background. It takes about an hour to drive from Yerevan. It should be added that Sevan is located at an altitude of 1 km from sea level, and it is always much colder and warmer in Sevanavank than in the capital of Armenia, especially in winter.

Beautiful views and no more advantages. Climbing the mountain implies a "fun" adventure along a narrow and crooked staircase. And instead of expanding it somehow, the Armenians preferred to set up a bunch of stalls along the way, where they would persistently sell you cheap souvenirs and pomegranate juice. On the mountain itself sits a funny guy named Hamlet, who breeds a pigeon of desires for a service (like, he launched the bird and everything will come true). At the very peak, there is some kind of unfinished building with protruding fittings, or some kind of ruins. And as always, there's trash everywhere and not a single trash can. I asked a local where I could throw a plastic cup, so he says that it can be directly on the ground..
