Low-key, as a cigar lover, Professor Freyd is an ideal spot for a quiet evening. The cigar selection and accessories are genuinely strong, and the overall atmosphere works very well. That said, the whiskey side could use some improvement. The Old Fashioned, in particular, was a bit underwhelming and didn’t match the level the place otherwise suggests. One detail that could significantly elevate the experience: service around cigars. Even if a guest brings their own, offering to cut it, asking for the preferred cut, and possibly assisting with lighting would add a lot of value. Other lounges do this, and it makes a noticeable difference. Overall, a good experience—these are just observations rather than complaints.
