The trip to the Yivli Minaret was a real touch of history for me. The majestic tower, built of red and yellow bricks, seems to have absorbed centuries into itself - each of its tiers, each pattern tells its own story. As I climbed the ancient steps, I felt time freeze: the modern city was roaring below, and here, near the ancient walls, there was a special, almost mystical atmosphere. The view from the height of the minaret was amazing: the azure sea, the roofs of Antalya, the greenery of parks - as in the palm of your hand. I will remember this moment for a long time: the warm Mediterranean wind, the play of light on the brickwork and the feeling as if I had touched something eternal. I will definitely come back here at sunset- they say that in the rays of the setting sun, Yivli looks even more magical!

The minaret is very beautiful and from the thought, it was built in 1230, you begin to understand that it has witnessed many centuries and events. The mosque itself is also extremely beautiful inside, I was lucky enough to do prayer in it, inside the mosque there are archaeological fragments discovered during excavations under glass. Definitely worth a visit.

The Yivli Minaret, which means "ribbed minaret" in Turkish, is one of the symbols of Antalya. This impressive monument of Seljuk architecture was built in the 13th century by order of Alaeddin Keykubad I, Sultan of the Sultanate of Konya, after the conquest of the city in 1207. The architect of the complex was Atik ben Hawala. Initially, the entire complex included a mosque, a madrasah and a dervish monastery, but only the minaret has survived to this day in its original form. The mosque itself was destroyed and rebuilt several times, and the mosque that stands today at the foot of the minaret was built in the second half of the 14th century. The main feature of the building is a 38-meter high minaret, unique for its era. The minaret is built of brick and has eight semi-cylindrical recesses (stiffeners), which gave it its name. These ledges create an amazing play of light and shadow that changes throughout the day. The minaret stands on a stone base, and its upper part is crowned by a balcony for the muezzin. Historically, the minaret served not only a religious function, calling believers to prayer, but also symbolized the power of the Seljuk Empire on the Mediterranean coast. Today, the Yivli Minaret mosque is still in operation, and the minaret itself is one of the key attractions of the old Kaleici district. His slender silhouette is visible from many parts of the city and is an integral part of the Antalya landscape.
