We visited the panoramic elevator in the historic Kaleici district, which is a convenient way to get down to the embankment. The elevator is fully glazed - during the descent (and ascent) there are stunning views of the sea, the old town and the coastline. It is especially beautiful at sunset. The trip takes only 30-40 seconds. The cabin accommodates about 15-20 people. The entrance is located in the heart of Kaleici, close to historical streets, cafes and souvenir shops. The exit is right by the embankment and Konyaalti beach. During peak hours, the cabin is cramped, noisy and stuffy, even despite the air conditioning. Souvenir dealers and animal photographers are often on duty at the elevator, who persistently offer their services for money. For a complete impression, I advise you to take a walk along the Konyaalti embankment after the descent - it is also very picturesque! 🏖️ ☀️

This elevator is itself a landmark, and from it you can see almost all the sights of this ancient area. A wonderful viewing platform! One of the best in this part of the city. Although incredible views can be seen from the cafes that are located on the sides of the elevator, and from the observation decks, which are numerous in the parks that stretch along the sea along the coast. We were lucky, we lived opposite. And every day I could see the crowds of tourists coming here to admire the beautiful views. We used this elevator ourselves almost every day.Because climbing the steep paths of the old town, on the polished stones, is an activity for people with sooo good athletic training, and taking the elevator in the morning and looking around the neighborhood, in good weather, is a great pleasure. Besides, there are not as many people on the rise in the morning as there are in the evening.
