This is something incredible.… The grandeur is breathtaking. The memorial consists of 16 columns ranging in height from 30 to 35 meters, which depict the chronological order of life and the history of Georgia's development. The chronicle does not consist of just one group of columns, it is a real sculptural ensemble. It includes a monumental staircase surrounded by columns, as well as several stone scrolls at the entrance, which contain important events and dates from the history of Georgia. In the center of the columns is a symbolic grave dedicated to all the past kings of Georgia who were buried outside the country. The photos do not convey the feeling of grandeur and grandeur of the building, as well as from the detailed depiction of history. The guide said that the Chronicles of Georgia began to interest tourists relatively recently, but honestly I can't imagine how you can not be interested in such a magnificent memorial, there is not enough time to visit to examine the history in detail, besides, magnificent views open from the site. I was very impressed, I would have gone a second time without hesitation! It's very cool to be there.

It's an incredible place. Georgian Stonehenge. Everything is done monumentally. This memorial is the merit of Zurab Tsereteli. As always, everything is beautifully done. The view from here is magnificent. You can see both the city and the Tbilisi Sea. I advise everyone to come here. You can even get there by public transport, on foot or by taxi.

Firstly, it is an outstanding and colossal monument. It's worth seeing — absolutely. Secondly, it's a little confusing that it seems to be 95% finished, and when the main work was already finished, someone was too lazy to finish it. There are some strange cracks, the structural elements stick out and lack some kind of grooming. Third, don't listen to Yandex.Maps, which will tell you that you can walk from the subway in half an hour. That is, you can walk in principle, but it's definitely not half an hour, because it's two kilometers uphill. Therefore, one of the pictures in this review illustrates the rise to the Chronicles.

If you are looking for something unusual and not the most touristy in Tbilisi, you should go up to the Chronicles of Georgia memorial. This is a huge structure on a hill - columns as high as a multi-storey building, covered with bas-reliefs. There are scenes from the Bible and moments of Georgian history. You look and feel both delight and a slight chill: the monument is strong, but unfinished, with a touch of Soviet grandeur. The atmosphere is special - the silence, just as if you are standing on the threshold of something important. Plus, the place is perfectly located - from the hill there are views of the city and the Tbilisi reservoir. The locals call the reservoir itself the "Tbilisi Sea". There's a completely different mindset there. There is a wide expanse of water below, and in summer people swim, ride catamarans, and have picnics. The result is an interesting contrast: at the top is a stern and majestic memorial, like a monument to eternity, and at the bottom is a simple life with its noise, laughter and kebabs. Both places complement each other and well show the spirit of Tbilisi, where the past and the present are always close.

My favorite place in Tbilisi! The whole city is in full view! The views are breathtaking. The monument itself is simply of incredible scale. Here you can read an interesting photo shoot and just relax. It has its own charm at any time of the day. Be sure to study the details of the monument.

Probably the best work of Zurab Tsereteli. Spectacular and monumental! It's worth coming here from the center by taxi, it's a ridiculous amount of money. Moreover, the magnificent Tbilisi Sea is nearby.

It's just something incredible. Incredibly huge size. The view is gorgeous. I strongly advise you to arrive at sunset. For beautiful photos. It is also so unusual that this monument is the chronicle of Georgia and it is still under construction, some work is underway.

It was created by Zurab Tsereteli in 1985, but was never fully completed. The main part of the complex consists of 16 columns ranging in height from 30 to 35 meters. Each column consists of three semantic parts – at the bottom there are biblical plots. In the middle are the figures of the most important people for Georgia. In the upper part of the columns there are plots dedicated to everyday events important for Georgia. The monument is located by the Tbilisi Sea. This is one of the main attractions of Georgia, but due to its location it does not attract a large flow of tourists. The monument is popularly known as the "Georgian Stonehenge."

An incredible place of power!! Words are not enough to describe its beauty and power. A must-see for everyone who has come to Tbilisi. The most convenient way to get there is by taxi, you can walk back down to the bus stop (3-5 minutes) and take a bus to the nearest metro (20-30 minutes), observing the beauty of the city.) I do not recommend taking taxis that are parked at the entrance (they charge a lot). Beautiful view of the Tbilisi Sea, there are not many tourists in the morning, you can take beautiful photos.

A magnificent monument and a beautiful place has been chosen, but there is no infrastructure nearby, it is very Soviet-made. The place is for 1 time, but it's worth a visit simply because it is one of the normal buildings of Zurab Connoisseurs, unlike the monument to Peter the Great in the center of Moscow There is a beautiful view of the lake

The memorial consists of massive columns, each of which is decorated with bas-reliefs depicting key moments of Georgian history and culture. The height of the columns and their imposing appearance create a sense of solemnity and grandeur. The bas-reliefs convey in detail scenes from the history of Georgia, starting from ancient times and ending with more modern events, which allows visitors to immerse themselves in the rich and multifaceted history of the country.

A monumental, majestic structure. The monument made a very, very strong impression on us. The memorial is located on a mountain with a nice view. It is huge - more than 30 meters high. It depicts various moments from the history of Georgia and Jesus Christ.

Do not walk on the map from the subway, there will be a lot of aggressive dogs in the private sector. It's better to take a taxi. The monument is being destroyed, the visit itself is for 10-15 minutes, there are also dogs near the memorial itself

Definitely worth a visit, but in good weather. It's very beautiful at sunrise, or I recommend arriving at 19:00 to catch the sunset and turn on the night lights at 19:30. You can only get there and back by taxi, or stomp uphill from the subway for half an hour.

The elements of the bronze vent facades of the monument did not survive for several years. They disappear and are slowly repaired every two months. The size of the monument is undoubtedly its main impressive property, however, sketches and scenes on columns are visible, which Tsereteli did reluctantly, hurriedly or not at all. The execution is substandard, schematic and sometimes simply disproportionate. Although right next to such imperfections, absolutely detailed work with cilia, deep look and composition. Around the monument there is a magical charming view of sleeping bags and, uh, sleeping bags. You can also see garages, construction debris, the outskirts of the suburbs and many truly majestic mountains, which are decorated with all shades of delicate colors at sunset and if you squat down, then there is only one pleasure to watch this spectacle. P.S. It blows hard on the mountain

Tourists of the city must visit, large, large-scale and excellent views of the western part of the city, as well as the reservoir. The main thing is not to go up in the heat, in the morning or in the evening, it's better to bring some water and a camera. It's a bit neglected.

When climbing to the monument from the bus stop, a dog was bitten by one of the houses, not a street dog. I was sleeping peacefully and abruptly decided to run and bite very painfully until it bled :( Georgia is not a safe region for rabies. On the monument itself, a local grandfather was yelling at the joyfully posing Asian tourists. A large lake is visible from the observation deck.

Very impressive!!!! The views are amazing, there is a view of both the city and the reservoir!!! Cool!!! And as the previous commentator writes about Yandex navigation, this is 1000% true))) When we went up the same route, there was also a super wind that, thank God, blew at our backs (such things even happen in the steppes)!!! And when we walked around the memorial, the wind blew so much that the phone flew out of my hands and I had to take a photo holding it with 2 hands!! But it didn't bother us much, because we came to rest, just to have a LOT of Rest!!! by the way, a taxi there is 3 times more expensive than usual and you have to wait 20 minutes, they can refuse (

A very atmospheric, majestic place. It contains information about the history of Georgia and biblical stories. This monument is the work of the famous Tsereteli. It attracts not only by itself, but also by the fact that from this hill there are the most beautiful views of the city and the Tbilisi sea

The memorial towers over the reservoir, and you can see the Shavnabad monastery, and Jvari, and the TV tower, and the terrible high-rise buildings. All this is obscured in places by power lines, wires and the slightly peeling work of Tsereteli. An aunt is sitting in front of the toilet and collects 1 GEL each for the approach to the Genoa bowl, the lack of toilet paper, soap and a working washbasin. If you walk along the path slightly away from the monument, then among other debris you can see the traces of those who saved this amount. I recommend stopping by Shevardnadze's Gardenia on the way back to change the picture and admire the works of non-human hands.
