Sits right on the waterfront by the bridge, always lively with crowds and pigeons. Took more than sixty years to build, begun by one queen mother and finished by another. Free to enter with a beautiful tiled interior, worth a quick look.

Bayezid Mosque

Goes back to Sultan Bayezid II in the early 1500s and counts as one of the oldest imperial mosques still standing here. The design set the blueprint for the great classical mosques that came after it. Peaceful, uncrowded and free to enter.

Free and right out in the open, kind of wild how well preserved it is for its age. A quick look is plenty.

Blue Mosque

Spent maybe thirty minutes inside and the blue tiles are something else. Fun fact, it sparked controversy for having six minarets, same as Mecca at the time, so a seventh was added there to settle things. Easily worth a visit.

The price was expensive, but definitely worth it. We went very early in the morning to avoid the lines and bought the tickets using a Visa card with no queue at all, but later it became very busy. If you go early, visit the Harem section first because it fills up very quickly. In general, everything was very good.

Everything was great overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. The atmosphere felt welcoming, and the service quality was excellent throughout our stay. The only downside was the WiFi. It was very slow and unstable, which honestly made us nervous at times when we needed internet access for important things. Unfortunately, the connection quality definitely needs improvement. Aside from the internet issue, we were very satisfied with the experience.

I highly recommend Nasip Et Kebap & Pide Salonu. The prices are very reasonable compared to many other restaurants in the area, but the food quality and taste are honestly excellent. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The service was also friendly and fast. Definitely a great place to enjoy delicious Turkish food without overpaying.
