The Ibrahim Pasha Mosque in Cihangir, Beyoglu (Cihangir Ibrahim Paşa Camii) is much less well-known and is not associated with the famous Pargali Ibrahim Pasha. This is a small neighborhood mosque. The exact history of its construction and the identity of "Ibrahim Pasha," after whom it is named, are not as well documented as those of major imperial structures. Most likely, it was built by some local philanthropist or official named Ibrahim Pasha at a later time (perhaps the 18th or 19th century), or rebuilt several times. It is a small Ottoman mosque typical of that period, usually with one dome and one minaret. The architecture is modest but functional, focused on the needs of the local community. Unlike the grandiose imperial mosques, it does not have the monumental scale and lavish decor typical of Mimar Sinan. The mosque continues to function as a place of worship for the residents of Jihangir. Like many old mosques in Istanbul, it has probably undergone several restorations throughout its history due to earthquakes and fires. Located next to Super Mario.
