I prefer Abkhazia for its clean sea and relaxing holidays. In August, from 18-25, my husband and I rested at the HIGOS HOTEL in the village of Alakhadzy, near Pitsunda. Far from railways and highways. The hotel is located on the first line, the beach is always half-empty, there are sun beds on the beach from the hotel (free of charge) umbrellas are provided at the hotel, beach towels are provided every day (free of charge). The territory of the hotel is fenced, well-groomed, clean, there is a Playground, table tennis, swimming pool (open without time limit). The pool is cleaned every day. The rooms are clean, shampoo, gel, soap are available. The linen is white, clean, and there are a set of towels for everyone. Linen was changed after three days, and the room was cleaned every day. The staff is polite and friendly. Buffet meals are served three times a day. Delicious, nutritious, homey. Fruits, vegetables, every day. There is a bar, light alcohol and beer, juices (at your expense). There are water bottles in the hallway, a kettle, cups and glasses in the room. A set of tea. TV, cable TV, refrigerator. The room was standard and comfortable, with a balcony. In general, everything that we have stated has been provided. We had a great and budget rest. I'll start by saying that if you have high demands, you'd better not go to Abkhazia at all. The hotel is normal, but there is a problem with everything.. there is a pool and it is warm, but dirty. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and have a balcony, but it's just dirty. The food is there and you won't stay hungry, but it's so monotonous and simple, and you seem to be on vacation (and not only on vacation you want to have a delicious meal, but even here you can drink only water and tea). The sea is nearby, clean, sun beds and umbrellas are provided, but there is no infrastructure nearby (this is a village, several shops, questionable cafes, no embankments or even comfortable roads, there are dogs and cows around), there is nowhere to go out and walk in the evening at all. There is a rooftop terrace where you can sit in the evening. The staff is as polite as possible.

On the plus side: the location is excellent, the food is good at home. On the downside: the audibility in the room is terrible, you can hear every rustle as if the walls were made of cardboard, the lights were turned off several times, the spring mattresses are very hard, it's still a pleasure to sleep on it, the rooms are tired. There is music on the beach cafe every day until one o'clock in the morning and because of the audibility in the room it is very audible despite the fact that all the windows are closed. Drinks include tea and sometimes juice , coffee and other beverages , including alcoholic ones, for money. You can't bring your own drinks. For 7 days, there were only apples and no watermelon. The food is almost always the same. The umbrellas from the hotel are all broken, on the beach from the cafe there are umbrellas with sun beds for 600 rubles a day they were taken. The only thing that saved was the location to the sea and the excellent beach. We wouldn't come here again.
