My experience with the Bank of Georgia leaves a very negative impression. In 2023, before moving to Georgia, I applied to a bank to open a regular debit account. Despite the documents provided, I was refused, apparently due to a misunderstanding on the part of the bank about the specifics of self—employment, online income and activities in the field of wellness practices. Almost three years later, in March 2026, I still managed to open a checking account as an individual entrepreneur. This has already been linked to the launch of the Pilates studio. I provided the bank with the lease agreement, photos of the premises, and other requested information. However, at the next stage — connecting a POS terminal to accept payments - I was refused again without any clear explanations. It seems that the bank is mainly focused on the most understandable and simple business models and has difficulty working with modern business formats, such as studios for wellness practices and the provision of services. I expected a more flexible and professional approach from one of the country's leading banks.
