Such a huge Mausoleum and Mosque concept with a huge yard. I have been here on March. But the facility is newly restorated. The restoration made it look like a newly build complex. Unfortunately it doesn't make you feel that you are in a historical place. Plus there are newly planted trees and I believe it will be very hot in summer. I recommend to get there afternoon or just before sunset. It is free of charge. In my opinion you can skip this place not a must see attraction.

The mosque is located almost in the center of the city. The location is good. We go to Friday prayers with friends. Many tourists visit this place. It is very beautiful, there are always enough places during prayer.

Suzuk Ota is a large historical, architectural and pilgrimage complex in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), which includes a mausoleum and a mosque. Key information about the Suzuk-Ota complex: Location: The complex is located in the old part of Tashkent, in the Shaikhantakhur district, near the famous Chorsu Bazaar. History: The first buildings of the mausoleum and mosque were erected back in the 14th century by order of Amir Timur (Tamerlane). Personality: The complex is dedicated to a saint named Suzuk-Ota (translated from Uzbek as "languidly narrowed"), who was known as a noble mentor and patron of all artisans. He was famous for his ability to unite people and for his good deeds. Artisan Mahalla: An entire artisan quarter (mahalla) has historically developed and been revived around the complex. During the reconstruction in 2019, two-storey houses with workshops and shops on the ground floors were built, which symbolically emphasizes the saint's connection with crafts. Modern significance: Today it is not only an important shrine and a place of pilgrimage, but also a center for the preservation of ancient craft traditions and a popular tourist attraction that attracts those interested in the history and culture of Uzbekistan. The complex was significantly renovated and opened after a major renovation in May 2019.
