The hotel is fully 3 stars by modern standards.
The view is stunning, the hotel is located in the sea on a mountain island. This view of the sea is unique and rarely found anywhere.
But that's it.
The hotel itself requires major repairs and maintenance. From untrimmed bushes and palm trees to the general view of the territory. Everything is old, 15 years old. The furniture has not been changed for a long time, both in the rooms and on the territory. Some plastic sun beds with dirty roofs from the 90s are worth a lot (in the photo of the hotel, the sun beds were different, modern).
At the reception you are greeted by the pungent smell of cheap fragrances.
Alcohol is a separate story. We are not drinkers, but we decided to try wine at dinner. Disgusting taste of alcohol, cheap alcohol. In a 5* hotel, they would be ashamed to give people such a drink.
There are big questions about restaurant service. They don't serve on time, they don't clean dirty tables right away, they can forget about the drinks you asked for or they won't even come up.
The cutlery and plates are dirty, we went to get new ones several times.
There is no beach, there is an area near the sea 3 m wide, on which these antediluvian sunbeds stand in a row. There are two small piers and another "beach" on the grass.
Food is all inclusive. It seems to be varied, but there is not much to eat, it is not tasty. Salmon and watermelon every other day, which is strange. For food, I would give a rating of 3.5 out of 5.
The conclusion is as follows: once it was a good hotel, but now I do not know why it is 5*.

A cool, cozy hotel
I especially liked the kitchen! A huge selection of dishes, new items on the menu every day, an emphasis on desserts-beautiful execution and of course delicious!

Perhaps the best of those Turkish hotels I have visited. The hotel is located on an isolated peninsula and is constantly blown by a light wind. Due to this, the heat is tolerated quite comfortably. A large and green area. Several freshwater pools.A well-maintained narrow sandy beach and platforms with comfortable sun beds. Crystal clear water. Beach towels are plentiful. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and built in such a way that almost everyone has a sea view. Cleaning is daily. The service is at a high level. The cuisine in the main restaurant is varied, I would even say imaginative. It is very tasty and high-quality. Drinks are mostly imported, and wines and spirits. WiFi is fast throughout the hotel. Friendly and courteous staff. There's not even anything to find fault with. The service is 100% complete. I want to come back here more than once.

A good hotel for a relaxing holiday. There is everything here : the sea is 10 meters away, delicious food, good service.
Drinks are brought by QR code on the beach and by the pool - this is very convenient . The staff mostly speaks English , the guests in the hotels are Europeans and Turks . We had a rest in October , so there were always enough sunbeds , excellent room cleaning , if desired , you can take your clothes to the laundry .
Also a beautiful room, it has everything, spacious and cozy, every day they put chocolate, marmalade, updated the mini-bar.
Of the minuses:
The terrible location of the hotel, the nearest pharmacy is 1 km away, there is nothing nearby, it takes 40 minutes to get to the center by taxi.
There is little seafood and in October there was no watermelon in restaurants
Spa and indoor pool for a fee of $ 10
There is not enough animation in the hotel

Today we left the hospitable Xanadu.
Under the impression. I wouldn't write any cons. Maybe those who are used to intense entertainment will find it boring. And it just really came to us that there are no crowds, the people are somehow distributed around the hotel, that people do not interfere with each other. The sea is beautiful. The sand is soft. We walked barefoot everywhere on the beach. There are not many sun beds available, if you go to the sea at 12, but you can find them. There are always plenty of free sun beds by the pool. Towels are unlimited.
It seems like we drove from the airport for more than an hour, but there is an area where the area is blown by the breeze. Well, it's not hot here, it's not a frying pan at all! Even though the thermometer is 33

Sun beds, towels, furniture, dishes require updating. The service depends on which waiter you get, but in general it's good, the guys are trying. Room cleaning is fast, mediocre. Washing is free, very convenient. Bars - the service is excellent, you can order directly from the sunbed anywhere in the hotel using a QR code. The quality of alcohol is decent, European drinks. But the cocktails are not very well prepared, the recipe is not followed, the serving is also at 3. The main Rosebud bar did not like it at all, only the sea view is excellent, again everything is outdated, there is no gloss of the main bar, the dishes do not correspond to the drinks, red wine is served in glasses for white, I tried all the cocktails, but not at all. But these are all the little things that do not overshadow the rest in any way. The hotel is positioned as a high class. I can't say that, the hotel needs renovation.

We've been flying on vacation for 20 years in a row several times, and this is the worst hotel we've ever been to. I don't understand the rave reviews.
I'll start with the pros: 1) a cool embankment with a view of amazing sunsets; 2) special thanks to sports animator Dmitry, a great person! He brightened up our gray vacation with his jokes, stories and just a human attitude. He conducts classes, competitions and is just a great person to talk to. That's all the advantages.
Now about the cons.
Room cleaning - 2 out of 5 points. It's just awful. To change the bed linen, we had to ask each time (we did not have a corresponding card, no one brought it, although we asked three times). Okay, they asked to change the bed linen completely, they only changed the pillowcases!!! I had to invite him again. They do everything reluctantly, they never say hello. It was raining heavily and flooded the balcony, a girl came, washed the floors in the room, but did not even touch the balcony. They probably don't know that the room needs to be dusted. A terrible layer of dust is everywhere: on the table, TV, coffee machine.
Beach towels are generally disgusting to wash, you need to try to find a towel without someone's blood and other contaminants.
Service: 2/5 points. Only the waiters are adequate, and not all of them. The hostess girls at the entrance to the restaurant stand with such faces as if they come to their house. There is no question of any "good evening". The receptionist Daria is also extremely unprofessional. Instead of solving a controversial situation, she took it and only inflamed it. I give 1/5 points for her work. Doesn't understand Turkish or is lying - guess now. But there shouldn't be such people in hotels for that kind of money.
Meals: buffet - 1/5 points. It is extremely indistinguishable and absolutely not tasty. We were there for 11 days in early September. During this time, there was not a single new dish. Wooden French fries, spaghetti and other bland and artificial pasta. There is no question of any watermelon, figs, rolls. Terrible food, even in 3* hotels the food is a hundred times better. There are only desserts from the variety, but we don't eat them.
The beach is 3/5. Almost everywhere there are stones at the entrance to the sea, we must also try to enter the sea. Sun beds from the 90s, we haven't seen this for a long time. There are no tents from the sun.
I highly do not recommend visiting this hotel, it is absolutely not worth the money and does not pull at the 5-star level. A weak three.

I liked everything. Excellent distribution of vacationers. There is no fuss and struggle for a place on the beach. There is a balance everywhere . This hotel is for those who need more time for themselves. A wonderful SPA., the staff is very attentive and always goes ahead of the service for vacationers. Entertainment program in the evenings- fire!

This hotel is rated at 2, 5 stars. I was disappointed in the prince for such money. 1. The food was different, the food was lean. Even the instruments were not always readable. Two in the family were poisoned on the second day of arrival. In the evenings, everything is the same on the grill. There were no watermelon and figs in the fruit season. I even had to buy my own watermelon and the kitchen managed to steal part of the watermelon twice. There are no distinctions from the word at all, the performances in the evenings were the same. Aqua was boring.
I left my glasses in the toilet, so they were stolen....
Probably only coach Dmitry saved me in 10 days.
The service and the hotel itself are almost like in Sochi.
Perhaps the only plus is washing things.

Nice hotel with beautiful grounds
Positive:
- large private area, very clean sea with fish
- 16+ bathing piers, where drinks are brought when ordered by QR code directly to the sunbed.
- large rooms, all appliances/plumbing are working
- high-quality food with interesting serving
- pleasant little things: bags for wet swimsuits in the locker rooms, free laundry on vacation for 7 days or more, quick cleaning
- chat whats up with the reception
- unobtrusive, ‘boring’ animation
Minuses:
- renovation is required, the sun beds, the overall design are very tired
- it is unlikely to be suitable for children, since the beach is very narrow, in some places the water reaches directly to the sunbed, which stands against the wall
-towels do not need to be handed over, this leads to situations when there is no one on the beach / pier / pool - but there are no empty seats either
-please note that the courtyard suit rooms look essentially at the parking lot (yes, there is a sea view behind it).
I recommend it for a relaxing holiday without children

A hotel with beautiful views and landscape on a separate peninsula. The rooms are large, with all amenities. There are villas with their own pools. The food is delicious and varied, fish and seafood are always offered, even the buffet is served in a restaurant. For swimming there is a beach with a gentle entrance and 2 platforms, the water is clean with fish, but it is colder than anywhere else in Turkey, even in August. There is often a strong wind in the evenings. The bars make good cocktails, you can order directly from the sunbed, waiters are constantly walking around. I also liked the two infinity view pools. Animation is a sport, and small shows in the evenings, such as live music or a laser show, do not expect any circus acts and animators screaming from the speakers. Among the disadvantages - the wind, the cold sea, the cleaning is mediocre, the road to the hotel is long and serpentine. Well, the price is clearly above average.

There is a large territory on the island, there are no outsiders.
There is a beach with sand, there are two beaches with pontoons.
Clean water, delicious and varied food, lots of fruits. Everything is for guests, any questions are solved by phone.

I'm currently vacationing at this hotel. I really like: the location (peninsula), beautiful views of the bay coast, cats walking with you along the path skirting the peninsula, many places for a secluded holiday, 3 beaches, a court. Russian Russian is the only thing that is surprising - it is obvious that at least half of the vacationers speak Russian, while the only wonderful Natalia in the hotel who works with Russian-speaking guests sang waiters, of whom there are not a small number, there is not a single one who understands and speaks Russian. I repeat, this is a flaw in the context of the guest-service ratio. Otherwise, everything is fine.

We rested for 6 days at this hotel, the end of August. There was no wind, the sea was clear, warm, calm. The hotel is mainly occupied by Turks and ours (about 70 by 30). The hotel positions itself not just 5 stars, but also high class. That's not so. Just the fact that the cutlery is constantly dirty every day for 6 days is already a minus star. It would seem a trifle, because the main thing is a clean sea. But the sea is NOT the merit of the hotel. Our room was cool, corner, all 5 Windows overlooking the sea and the sunset. However, the plumbing is already too old, the bathroom door was not locked (the latch was broken). There are powerful air conditioners on the roofs and the noise throughout the hotel is like on a runway. Yes, 5 types of pillows, great, but high class implies more than that. Thus, I believe that the hotel needs renovation, conversations with the staff in the dining area (they just don't care). Well, cleanliness in public toilets, he was alone on the beach and it was unpleasant to enter it.
I also want to say separately that this is a quiet hotel, as quiet as possible))) And if you consider that he is alone here on the peninsula, then there is nothing to do in the evenings except play the ever-breaking bowling.

A wonderful hotel for a relaxing holiday. I dreamed of relaxing in it for 7 years and finally my dream came true. I am sure that there are many positive reviews about the Xanadu Island hotel. I want to tell you about the pros and cons that I have noted for myself.
Positive:
1. Isolated location on the peninsula. There are no strangers on it. Only vacationers. It is very convenient and as safe as possible.
2. Wonderful sea: there is a gentle entrance, and from the pier, and from the platform in the form of a stone on the far beach. There are 3 beaches in total. Very clear, salty, azure water. Different fish. You can take a look.
3. A very beautiful area with a variety of locations for spectacular photos. Benches in different places above the cliffs for contemplation of beauty. There are many olive trees and flowers.
4. Good paths for walking/running around the perimeter of the island and inside it.
5. Magnificent views of the surrounding area: the Turkish islands and the Greek island of Kos. Just amazing sunrises and sunsets.
6. Unobtrusive animation
7. Very tasty food 24/7. Be sure to visit the Aegean and Azurro restaurants. In the first there is a divine lamb with porridge, in the second an incredible brownie-you can shoot a video feed. Sesame bagels for breakfast - love forever. At 16 o'clock, waffles are made next to the main restaurant. Instagram photos are great.
8. Good cleaning and Guest Relations work service. Whatsapp is constantly in touch with all questions.
9. Free dry cleaning service: laundry and/or ironing for stays of 7 days or more. This is a very cool service, especially when you take crumpled dresses and shirts out of your suitcase upon arrival.
Minuses.
1. In the main restaurant on the street, smoking is everywhere. Both with and without children. There is no designated area for non-smokers. It is very cold in the hall itself. You want to enjoy the views, but you can't - because the wind is blowing cigarette smoke towards you from all sides.
2. Animation (concerts, shows, games) starts very late at 22:00.
3. During the week of rest, the disco was only 1 time with songs familiar to everyone. The rest of the time, a Turkish singer performed and most of the songs were in Turkish for the Turkish public. The concert usually ended at 23:00 and there were dances for the local audience until 00:00. I would love to join if European dance music was playing.
4. There are a lot of cases when people take sunbeds with towels on the beach and leave. In fact, all the seats are occupied, in fact there are 2-3 people on the pier, but there is nowhere to lie down.
5. Strong winds in October, which lower the temperature by 5 degrees, both on land and in water.
I thank the hotel from the bottom of my heart for putting us in a chic room with a sea view, a Jacuzzi and a gorgeous round bed instead of a standard suite! Thank you for the surprise in the room: a bowl of fruit, champagne and a whole tray of fresh strawberries in chocolate. I was delighted and really want to return to Bodrum again. I was in this place in July, and now in October, but I came to the conclusion that it is for being in the water that it is a favorable time in Bodrum from July to September.

I really liked the hotel and the place itself. Due to the fact that it is a peninsula, at least in September it was windy. But they did not experience any discomfort. It is warm and refreshing in the evening. I got a beautiful room with a puddle hidden from prying eyes. The service is unobtrusive, but always ready to help. The food is great. We are very happy with everything.
