Convenient location. 2 minutes walk to the tram, 5 minutes to the ferry, 10 minutes to the Galata Tower. But when planning hiking routes, take into account the hilly terrain of Istanbul. The ascents and descents are quite steep. This is extra travel time. About the Hotel: Excellent staff, room cleaning, linen and towels every day! The linen is snow-white. Slippers are included in the price, as well as soap, shampoo, shower gel and a hairdryer. The standard room has a refrigerator and a TV. The furniture is a little tired, but intact. There are only two outlets (one of them has a refrigerator). Breakfast is delicious, but monotonous and too small for a big man. But the Hotel is located among many cozy cafes. And the supermarket is a 5-minute walk away. I was satisfied with my stay.
I booked a hotel through a Booking service. Almost two weeks before the trip. In the morning on the day of arrival, a message came from the hotel saying that they could not process my bank card and gave me a few hours until about 14.00. I wrote a letter to the hotel that I was already in a taxi, I was going to them and I would immediately pay in cash. We were in a hurry (I was with my family - 4 people) and managed to arrive before the expiration of the "ultimatum" - before 14.00. But the hotel manager said that in the morning my reservation was allegedly canceled, my rooms were already occupied and instead of the 2 rooms that I had booked, I could now be provided with only one, where I had to somehow fit with my wife and two daughters. I naturally refused. When I started walking around the neighboring hotels with my children and 4 suitcases, I understood the reasons for such deception on the part of the hotel manager. It was May 4, the last day of Eid al-Fitr. And in the area popular with tourists, hotel prices have increased almost 2 times. That is, as I understand it, the hotel manager realized that it is possible to earn super profits out of the blue - twice as much money. I wrote a claim through the Booking Office, but nothing was answered, so I conclude that the hotel administration is aware of everything and, apparently, welcomes such deception of guests. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, so that you do not find yourself in a similar situation: when you book a hotel in advance, you arrive there, but you find yourself on the street with children and suitcases.
