An interesting castle with a rich history, excellent staff, and an observation deck gives you the opportunity to look at the historical center of Grodno and the Neman River. I recommend you to visit!
The interior is striking in detail, a lot of work has been invested. The observation deck offers wonderful views of the city and the Neman. There is a souvenir shop. Interactive touchscreens in 6 languages. Comfortable toilets inside. After the second stage of restoration, it will be even more interesting here. Thanks to the polite staff of the museum!
A great place to visit. It's cute both inside and out. In the old castle, the building itself and its interior are interesting, despite the fact that only part of the walls are really old there (The appearance was restored, which was destroyed and rebuilt several times after.), and in the new palace there is a wonderful museum. I strongly disagree with the reviews that claim that there is nothing to do there. But that's another story...
A very atmospheric place, a well-designed exposition. You can read the chronicle of historical events in several languages. Watch a short video about the history of the creation of this castle, some of the most important events. The castle has been completely reconstructed, but it has been done very well. There is an observation deck with an amazing view of the Neman and the city
I really liked the castle. It is located on the riverbank in the city center. at the time of the visit, there was a partial reconstruction, but I still really liked it
A beautiful place, a must-visit in Grodno, there are expositions inside the castle, so there is something to see. You can take a guide, or you can get acquainted with everything yourself.
There are not very many exhibits in the castle itself, most of the castle is under reconstruction. But at the same time, the castle is very beautiful, equipped with computer installations that tell interesting and informative stories about the periods of the castle's development.
A beautiful castle. After Nesvizh and Mirsky , of course , much less . But it's also interesting. Everything is made for people. there is a touch screen. you can click and listen about the lock or the gun, and so on.
It's a beautiful place. The cost is not expensive, but you can see and learn a lot of interesting things. You can wander around the castle for hours, there are quite a lot of places for a photo shoot.
We were in the old castle. It's a great place. I liked everything very much. We regretted that we did not take a guide. From the observation deck, the view is mesmerizing
An interesting place. The castle has been recently restored, it's nice to walk, but it's better to take a guide. I especially remember the decoration of the bathhouse ceiling and the interior of the prayer room.
The castle is magnificent. Yes, it suffered a lot during the war, but it was restored. There is a wonderful exposition inside. And from the roof of the castle there is a delightful view of the Neman.
Well, it's kind of clear that I'm completely new. But in the hall on the ground floor there is a movie reconstruction of how the castle looked in different eras from the king of Peas. Restored with great love. And it's just a landmark place. Be sure to visit at least because of the magnificent view of the Neman and Grodno from the observation deck on the roof.
Good restoration in the castle. The opportunity to watch and hear the story. You can climb to the top and see the city and the Neman.
There is a toilet on almost every floor, and souvenirs can be purchased at the exit.
We were in Grodno for 1 day, walking around the city. The city itself is beautiful, but the impression was spoiled by the aunt "cerberus" at the entrance to the castle - she did not let her with a children's folding scooter, where she could safely leave it, too, could not offer! She screamed like a cut, scared the child, terrible staff.
In Grodno, perhaps, it is a sin not to visit two places: Old and New locks. An interesting, well-constructed exposition, a three-year-old will not get bored during the visit, steep narrow ascents, access to the observation deck is worth it. A new castle is optional, the museum is quite voluminous, you can hook up with a couple of children with a hall.
A very interesting castle!
The townspeople are trying to preserve their history as much as possible! And the nature around is fascinating!
We went with the children! I highly recommend it!
We were here on an excursion. It is interesting and informative. The exposition is small, but it is enough to immerse yourself in the history and life of the kings of the past centuries. I recommend visiting Belarus for travelers.
The castle is incredibly beautiful! Renovated after reconstruction, the expositions are rich in historical and recreated artifacts. There are many toilets, which is important, there is a souvenir shop. The beauty of the castle is breathtaking! The observation deck offers a magnificent view of Grodno. In general, I want to come back here!
The castle, as a building, is interesting, but the exhibition is very sparse. It seems that there are few exhibits and they were distributed among the halls as best they could.
It's a great exposure for me as a specialist. The history of the castle, archaeology, beautifully restored interiors, an observation deck - careful, ladies in dresses, there's a wind!))
Careful, ladies in heels - a lot of walking on ancient paving stones between interior expositions. The castle is in the process of restoration, but there is still something to see.
Small, intimate. It's interesting to walk inside. The exposition is not particularly rich, the decoration of the premises, the courtyard, the gallery, the towers are of greater interest. It's worth going.
It's a very interesting idea. Although of course there is a lot of criticism that not everything has been done in the old style, but what has been done is a tremendous job. We got on a free tour in general and were very satisfied.
Small, clean, modern. The entrance fee is low, the aisles are all open. There are no souvenir shops around, and that's great. There's a New castle opposite, but I didn't go there.
I really wanted to get into it, but it didn't work out. There are no guides and they are not expected. On Thursday evening, we arrived at the ticket office and were told that we need to arrive earlier. On Friday, they called to book a tour in advance and received the answer that there was no free space for four people and the nearest one was in two weeks .... there was a persistent impression of deception and disappointment.
In addition to the incredibly fine work of the reenactors, I will note the 3 most incredible and impressive options in the museum:
1. Everything CAN be photographed, videotaped, and ancient artifacts, the main thing is to remember that you are not alone and do not interfere with others.
2. FOR the FIRST time in Belarus, I saw interactive transparent screens behind which the exhibits are located, you look at the exhibit, press the button on the glass and in front of you is the history of the artifact and historical events + you can select language settings to view the museum plan to navigate. Cool, comfortable, impressive.
3. But the coolest thing is that in at least two halls, the walls are a canvas for a projector, on which they show THEIR CARTOONS about the city, events and the castle! Made with soul, with cool animation, well-voiced. The impression is incredible! I highly recommend it!
Now there are 4 locations available + an observation deck on the roof of the castle, 5 more locations are in the process of reconstruction, according to the plan they will be introduced by the new year. I will definitely visit more for the sake of new halls.
It is well maintained and pleasant, the territory is a small museum. The castle is fully restored. It was destroyed. The observation deck is amazing. The minus was on the day of the visit, some tourist was standing on the observation deck smoking, he made comments like that. What is the disadvantage that there is no control over the order on the observation deck.
The main attraction in Grodno. You can and should look at it. Interesting. It's not a very large exposition, but everything was done with respect to the ancestors.
We arrived 10 minutes before the opening, everything was open, went inside to find out the cost, and the employee at the entrance was rude. Dear management, teach your employees how to communicate with visitors and customers. If you are not working, close the doors, do not mislead tourists! And for employees in decent establishments there is a service entrance! After such a "service", there is no desire to visit this place. The castle did not impress outwardly.
So far, the exposition is small, but it is necessary to visit a familiar place. Both visitors and locals. The stunning views from the observation deck are separately noteworthy. I am sure that after the reconstruction the place will become even more popular
The only royal castle preserved in Belarus.
Many people say that since the castle was badly destroyed, in its current form it is all an uninteresting remodel. Well, if it's a new model, then what's the alternative? Just throw away the ruins and finally lose even what has been preserved? I do not agree with this, I think that if drawings, photographs, descriptions, etc. have been preserved. one or another historical monument, then it must be restored. Therefore, well done for recreating the castle complex.
Interiors from the 16th century are shown inside, you can take an audio guide or an excursion. We walked by ourselves because we were limited in time. There are a lot of information stands inside, everything is written logically and is not overloaded with unnecessary facts.
From the observation deck there is a beautiful view towards the river. In general, we were very pleased with the visit. I hope the entire castle complex will be restored.
The castle is interesting, the guides are well done: an excursion with a soul, they find an opportunity to send tourists on time to the observation deck to watch and listen to the bugler. I liked the tour.
The trouble with toilets (queues, you can stand for more than half an hour, "stuffy", dirty).
It's a beautiful place. You definitely need shoes without heels to visit the exhibitions in the towers.
The steps are high and narrow on spiral staircases. Local residents trade their needlework near the castle. Very interesting jewelry made of straw.
It was recently renovated and the location for the photos is super. The museum offers a view of all the beauties of the ancient city of Grodno. It's worth visiting there
During the visit, most of them were closed for repairs :(
However, the rest of the exposition and halls are interesting.
Plus, it has a beautiful view.
An interesting and restored castle, many beautiful places for photos. There are interactive expositions. In general, if you are in Grodno, you need to visit, there are quite a lot of people on weekends
