I really liked the architecture of the complex, there are many beautiful places for photos. An unusual tile. But it was a little confusing that these are still mausoleums, and we take pictures in them.
Mysterious and majestic, beautiful, fabulous Shohi-Zinda. Translated, it means "the living king". It is truly an ornament of Samarkand, the holy place of Muslims all over the world. Respecting the traditions of Muslims, I recommend visiting it with a headdress and covered shoulders. They say that it is necessary to enter Shohi-Zinda from the right foot, in a calm state and with good thoughts. In fact, Shohi-Zinda is the burial place of 11 rulers and their entourage. There you can hear the wonderful recitation of namaz in a hurry. As you go up and down the stairs, count the steps. If their number converges, then make a wish. Linger at the carved doors of the 15th century. They are amazing and convey skillful craftsmanship. There is a beautiful view of the city from the platform (on the right in front of the exit).
Of course, you need to see it, it's very difficult to describe it in words! A stunningly beautiful place! There are a lot of tourists at any time, but this does not spoil the impression!
A must-visit.
The story is in every pebble, in every pattern. I advise you to hire a guide. The excursions are deep and very interesting. Look for the guide Lola. Clever, which are few.
A unique ensemble of mausoleums, the mosaic is covered with beautiful juicy flowers. The spirit of the buildings has been preserved. For women who come in trousers or shorts, there are ribbon skirts at the entrance (you can use them absolutely free of charge). There is a functioning mosque on the territory. There are souvenir shops where you can choose a gift for every taste. There is no such thing anywhere else in the world. Admission is not expensive. I recommend you to visit!
It's very interesting and creepy at the same time. In fact, you are walking through a very ancient cemetery. However, these monumental tombs decorated with majolica, these oriental domes on the buildings, as if you get into a fabulous Agrobe.
A very beautiful historical memorial in Tashkent with mausoleums of the XI- XV centuries. with wonderful doors with wood carvings with a depth of 10mm. The drawings are not repeated. I haven't seen this anywhere else. The memorial is small in the center of the city
A pearl! It is a must to visit! Without a doubt, the most beautiful place! Admission is for a fee. However, in Samarkand they charge you for any sneeze and everywhere - be prepared for this.
It's a very beautiful place. It's very crowded. Neatly clean. It is a large complex of graves of notable people. 25 minutes walk to the Mausoleum of St. Daniel
One of the most beautiful places in Samarkand. And of course, the ensemble is located in the most ancient settlement of Afrasiab, where the city of Samarkand was located from the 8th century BC until 1220
It's a very beautiful place. We recommend visiting with a Russian-speaking guide.
Not suitable for tourists with children and people with limited mobility (there are a lot of steps)
It's probably good when you see neat, almost new buildings of ancient mausoleums)). The feeling is a bit "like in a movie", the scenery. I remember Samarkand 45 years ago and the ruins of Shahi Zinda. But, well done anyway, they rebuilt it almost anew))
One of the historical sites of Samarkand. A Muslim shrine and an architectural monument. I think that every tourist who comes to Samarkand should visit here.
A beautiful place in the center of Samarkand. It is better to take a guide to learn more about the time when these mausoleums were built and about those for whom they were built. There is a good view of the city from the height.
I can't describe it! You need to be here! So many things! And all in one place! And architecture, and applied art and atmosphere! And then it's all connected with the great Timur! Hurry up, it's worth it.
The most sacred and magical place in Samarkand. A must-visit. At the entrance in front of the stairs, you can make a wish and count the steps up. Then, when descending, count again. If the number of steps matches, your wish will come true
It's a very unusual place. The bright mosaic is different everywhere. Each mausoleum has its own story. The legend of the stairs and steps that must be counted in order to test the righteousness and the feeling of fleeting human existence is especially felt here
The tour offered at the ticket office was in extremely poor Russian and mostly focused on the retail outlets inside the premises. You will be taken to a person selling souvenirs and he will tell you a story about a portrait of Tamerlane made on the basis of Gerasimov's reconstruction in order to sell it to you. My impressions are very mixed. I do not recommend a tour at the ticket office. I heard how the guides told from the outside, they gave much more and more interesting information.
The memorial complex where the rulers of Samarkand of different eras are buried. For Muslims, visiting this place is equivalent to a pilgrimage to Mecca. For a non-Muslim, it is curious, but no more. A staircase with high steps leads to the complex. It is recommended to count the steps at the entrance and exit. Not everyone has the same result.
A wonderful place, of course, many people do not understand the importance of this place only using it as an Instagram place or only for photo shoots.
But the cousin and companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is buried here Qusam Bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him).
This is very rare for our Central Asian lands.
It is located directly in the city center, there is no need to go anywhere, it is perfectly restored.
This is an ancient complex and it is a must-visit. The master. It is there that the feeling of an ancient city is there, and there is also a wonderful craftsman who makes very beautiful souvenirs on wood.
A very interesting complex of mausoleums. Many have been restored, and inside one of them there is a history of restoration in photos before and after. It is better to arrive in the morning. A fairly steep staircase leads to the entrance. Admission is paid, for a fee you can take a local guide who will tell you the historical details. I advise you to definitely visit.

Beautiful architecture. It is noticeable that they were sometimes built in a hurry and there are shortcomings. The guides are ready to tell fascinating stories about these places.
A very beautiful, fascinating place. In the rays of the setting sun, it becomes even more mysterious. The only drawback is a very large number of visitors
A very beautiful memorial with a range of colors. By visiting, you can learn historical details, see beautiful patterns on the walls, which are 600 years old. Guides can also tell you the mysterious legends associated with this place
A very beautiful complex with a rich history. Of course, all the buildings have been restored, but there are elements of old terracotta somewhere. It is better to visit with a guide.
