In principle, the place is not bad for your money, the food is as stated with elements of a buffet, the food is delicious, fresh. Of course, everything in the rooms is old, the "bathroom" is sooo small.The 10th floor is renovated, but the price is already more expensive there. The staff has no attitude towards the guests, I would even say boorish, especially the administrators, and in principle the Abkhazians are not so friendly. A huge plus is the sea, a 2-minute walk away, there is a place on the beach, sun beds are also freely available. There is gorgeous nature on the territory!

We rested on the 10th floor in renovated rooms, well, what can I say from the pleasant - the air conditioner was working.
Two small rooms, a refrigerator in the hallway. The bathroom is tiny, there were constant interruptions with water. Cleaning seemed to be carried out, but it was not visible. The linen was changed on the 7th day, in general it should be on the 5th, but Saturday fell out-a day off, as it turned out, the staff of the sat, sun days off.
The hotel itself is ugly, old, but we were particularly surprised by the food, we have not seen this anywhere else. Each room in the hotel is seated at a certain table, it does not change during the rest. You come to the dining room and they bring you food rationally. They were extremely poorly fed. It is strange that as the number of vacationers increased, food became less and more scarce.
Unfortunately, the territory of the hotel is not well maintained, you can only walk towards the Literary Fund, where it is quite beautiful, well-groomed, pleasant to walk, you can visit shops. We visited the playground in the Literary Fund every day, there is nothing for children in Pitius.
The beach is large, there are not enough sun beds, if you want comfort, you need to come to take places early in the morning.
Another pleasant thing is that the pension is located in a beautiful place, on the one hand the sea, on the other a beautiful lake and mountains. Pitsunda is a 30-minute walk away.

A poor Soviet boarding house, even evacuation plans were approved in 1976 and nothing has changed, there are no other plans.
We took a two-room room for 2 adults and a child. In January 2023, for June.. it seems like an early booking ...
a taxi from the Gagra railway station cost us 800 rubles, although we asked for 1tr.
I can't say that it's cheap, but the boarding house itself is something...
I don't understand the people who praise it in reviews: it's old, shabby, everything is falling apart and it doesn't look better.
About the rooms: The plumbing is leaking in the rooms, everything is rusty. There is not even an elementary bar of soap, let alone a shower gel or shampoo.
About cleaning the rooms: it's not clean, the garbage is cleaned every day, they haven't even heard of such a thing as making beds.... deaf socialism.
I took a hair dryer from the maid on request, there is no hair dryer or kettle in the room.
About the Internet: The declared Internet practically does not work even in the lobby. Only the neighboring sanatorium Litfond saved, the signal from which reached our balcony.
About the food: It was a shock to me on the first day when we were offered something for dinner in the dining room that we didn't finish at lunch. Then it turned out to be a normal practice. That is, soup and salads are standing, the second is being delivered. Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers were given only 2 times, they are disassembled and no longer renewed.
Sunflower oil is given 2 tablespoons for the whole crowd of people who want to fill the salad and then they do not resume.
Several types of porridges, 3 types of soups: borscht, broth, pickle or pea soup.
The meal is on schedule, I did not have time in my 40 minutes - I am free. They're standing over you and chasing you.
Fruits are given: 1 time there were apples, the rest were bananas.
About the reception desk: it is useless to ask questions that are not related to the boarding house. Questions like where is the post office, where to send a postcard from, plunge the staff into a dead end. Questions: how to get there - they only offer taxis. Although there is a bus stop near the neighboring Literary Fund, where minibuses go to both Pitsunda and Gagry. Again, there is an option on foot, but the reception staff responds: "Taxi". It is clear that there is no desire to help at all....

We are resting now in a boarding house) the sea is nature and the advantages end there. The food is ordinary, but not tasty at all, either greasy pancakes dripping with oil, or dry chicken, soy sausages.. delicious only buns for dinner and porridge for breakfast! Cleaning is well cleaned every day) on the territory of a pack of huge dogs fighting with each other, on the beach under the sun beds and all the fleas are lying nearby, the administrator replied that they were friendly to remove the dogs, they did not bother us, vacationers were fed, so they ran. In the neighboring literary fund there are entertainment for children and in the evening you can go for a walk, if it were not for the literary fund you would die of boredom, so with children in general) I summarize: we will no longer go to pitius, the cons overlap the pros, it is better to rent an apartment in Pitsunda and eat in the dining room) tastier and cheaper!

Immerse yourself in the 70s of the twentieth century! The boarding house of the newspaper Pravda. There is a lush park around with exotic trees for a resident of the middle lane. The park is being looked after, but it still seems ancient and overgrown. But what smells are there! Oleanders, wisteria, mimosa, palm trees, Pitsunda pines, cedars. The building itself and the rooms have not been repaired for a long time. But they are kept clean. The staff is responsive: all problems in the room were instantly eliminated at our request. The beach is across the park in a minute and a half walk. There are not always enough sun beds. It is necessary to borrow at 7-8 in the morning. Everything is very simple in the dining room. There are 2-3 porridges for breakfast and 2-3 soups for lunch. Salads 5-6 to choose from: a couple of cabbage, beetroot, winter, tomato and cucumber. Delicious cottage cheese. The second one is the same for everyone, served by waiters. They always give you butter, sausage or cheese. Drinks include tea, cocoa in the morning, raisin compote for lunch. Fried or boiled eggs. The bread is only white. A balanced, but rather monotonous diet. Not for gourmets, but tasty and satisfying. The boarding house is located at the entrance to the city, a few minutes away by bus or minibus from the city center. You can also walk. But it's hot)) Rest in silence. Without screaming music and mass entertainers. There is a tennis table in the lobby. The Internet is free, but only in the lobby at the reception. Rest is not for those who are used to finding fault with everything and demanding maximum comfort for a minimum of money. They go to the neighboring "Literary Fund" leased by Rosatom. By the way, the entrance is free, and we walked there every evening. I gave 4 stars for the transfer: we arrived at 12 a.m., and the transfer is only until 10 p.m. and from 5 a.m.! They didn't even warn me! And where should we spend the night? I had to take a taxi. The funds for the transfer there have not been returned. By the way, it was cheaper to take a taxi. But in general, if you know where you are going, in what conditions you are going, then everything is very good. Enjoy your stay. Thanks to the staff of the boarding house!))

The whole of Abkhazia still travels in a car built in the USSR, when I arrived here it was as if I got into the 1980s and 1990s. And this boarding house is no exception. The building has been in need of repair for a long time, it is partially covered with mold. The territory is not well maintained, the room stock is with old furniture, problems with the elevator and this is all at a room rate of 2200 rubles per person per day with 3 meals a day when staying in a 2-bed room from June 1 to June 30, that is, for 2 people there will be 4400 rubles, if another child is 7 years old, then 6600 rubles / day. Guys, komon, these are the prices of the Russian Sirius next to you, where you can rent apartments for this money and eat in local delicious cafes. Why should a person choose you? I sincerely don't understand!

It is not possible to write about this hotel with such enthusiasm and give five stars. The staff is excellent, helpful and polite, the food is monotonous, but I don't think that many of us eat new things at home every day, there is enough food, you can ask for more, I gave the waitress a five-pack at the very beginning and in general there were no problems with food, the sea is also on top. This is where everything wonderful ends, everything that is stated on their website is nonsense, they do not have any demons of baths, animators and the like, as well as comfort in the rooms, furniture is assembled in the basements, Wi-Fi is only in the lobby, the TV is small, catches three programs that are constantly lost, bed linen for seven days and for the same seven days, two or TWO towels, sunbeds in a fight, plumbing like in a public toilet. You can describe it for a long time, but I think that's enough, you'll see the rest for yourself if you decide to come. By the way, they say it's cheap, I don't know, my number is 5 thousand, as if it's not really cheap. And the constant shutdown of electric power, but without electricity, what? I really didn't like the staff on the beach. Some strange young man in a panama hat. It is not clear at all who he is: a beachboy, a guard or a lifeguard. He regularly lay on sun beds and was with a dog named Dina. He threw a stick into the sea for her, despite the fact that there were people swimming nearby. Explain to him that it is unethical and unhygienic for people to swim next to a dog. Plus, the dog shakes off after coming out of the water, and the spray flies in all directions. He was reprimanded several times, but all ignored.

The Pitius boarding house is most likely a good one, if you take into account how many people relax here regularly from year to year. But I'm not coming back here.
The territory is small and well-maintained. There are huge dogs living on it, who talk nonsense all night long. Even earplugs don't save you. The beach is big, spacious and clueless. There are few canopies, there are not enough sun beds for everyone. There is no shower, no locker room either.
The food is hearty, generous, but tasteless. But clean, pleasant staff. The rooms are renovated only on the top floor. All the others were, and still are, under socialist realism. But the worst thing is that it stands alone. There is not even a pharmacy within walking distance, if anything. Everything is in Pitsunda. It's 3 km away, but you can't get there on anything. There used to be a bus in the morning, now it doesn't.... There is a literary fund with a good territory nearby. We went there to the cinema, to dancing, to the promenade. And in Pitius, life ends with sunset.

BUT the beach is nearby! The hotel's park and boxwood grove are super. The food is edible, but nothing more. Compared to living in a savage, it's a great option. I recommend Mikhalych's cafe nearby. I had a rest from June 13 to June 23. Upon check-in, I immediately inspected the provided double standard room 505, checked all electrical and plumbing appliances and furniture, and was satisfied with everything. Finishing the bathroom, of course, is required, but I am not spoiled by hotels in Turkey and other foreign resorts. The elevators broke down, but it's often the fault of the vacationers themselves, who flock inside, as a result - overload. The food is good 3 times a day and 3 meals sometimes makes you think that you are overeating. Everything is delicious and not as monotonous as they say. The working staff of the dining room tries very hard, especially the waitresses of the dining room and the administrators are attentive and responsive. No one wrote about it, but inside the pool building on the ground floor there is even a small library.
If I were the administration, I would also put the billiard tables in order (replacing the cloth), repaired both grand pianos. It doesn't take much - setup and minor repairs, but on a rainy day, an additional service will be available to vacationers from entertainment besides the tennis table. If only the pool would work again

When I was vacationing in a boarding house, I lived in a single room, I knew where I was going and was ready for anything, but I didn't meet anything terrible, the sea was nearby, the water was constant, a hot towel rail was a very pleasant bonus when it was raining outside. The food is normal, I took everything understandable, not a mess, I bought water myself. The view from the room is stunning, to the left the sea, to the right the lake and every evening the sunset.

I'll start by saying that I was looking for vouchers two days before my vacation, so the only free place from the tour operator was Pitius.
They praised it as if it were the best place on earth. They say that there were no Turks nearby.
Upon arrival in Pitsunda, they searched for this place for an HOUR. There is a sign, but it has faded so much that it is like Pushkin's "A lonely sail is white... "It's just a white spot.
The gates open and we get to the quite impressive size of the green spaces. Great, great! But this is only at first glance. The next day, while walking, I discovered that the cleaning and cleanliness of the outer territory are not pampered.
The idea itself is wonderful. Rabbits, a wounded bird, and someone else live on the territory, whom we have not seen in 14 days, but there was a feeder with food in the cage.
You approach the residence building itself and feel a whisper coming from it: "Proletarians of all countries unite!". You're back in the USSR.
Only it's not even that the furniture and buildings of those years, but that almost everything is old and dilapidated.
The reception is the only new and modern one in this establishment. And that's just the word.
Very boorish ladies meet and settle in. Next, go to the rooms.
The quest begins. The elevator is not working. Or it works, but only at a certain time, and that's not a fact. But it's okay, you can walk. It was not difficult. I'm more worried about people of the third age.
The woman who cleaned the room is nice enough. Cleans every day.
I got a room with a good view. The room itself is modest, but clean.
The staff in the dining room is wonderful. Lots of dishes, everything is fresh. The average food of the sanatorium.
I was horrified that light is also a luxury. And if there is no light, then please live without water and without air conditioning (and it's +39 outside).
There is one cafe on the territory and it does not spoil much.
A big plus is that the Rosatom Literary Fund is nearby. Sports fields, some shops for sale, and two mini cafes.
There are sun beds on the beach, a couple of canopies.
The sea is perfectly clean. The shore begins with sand, turns into pebbles.
If you put everything in order (furniture, light, water and reception staff), the place would be wonderful!
And so, if you want to have a good rest, then you need to look for something more decent.

We had a rest in Pitius in July 2022.
At first, when we arrived, we were a little upset, everything was so old, worn out. But then we found a bunch of advantages in this place!
We took a semi-suite room, it's almost a studio apartment, there is a TV, refrigerator, cabinets, large mirrors, which was very pleasing, everything is clean.
The food there is the simplest, suitable for the picky) there is a five-star Literary Fund nearby, which has a playground, cafes, shops, the territory is not fenced in, you can safely stay there and use their WiFi, go to discos, etc. The
beach is nearby, idit for a couple of minutes, clean, there are sun loungers.
In general, we were satisfied!

We had a rest from August 17 to 28 with a family with two children. The territory is familiar to us, since in 2014 we rested in the Literary Fund (then not yet owned by ROSATOM), naturally we understood that we were going to the 80s. They did not flatter themselves with hopes. But upon arrival, they realized that there was no smell of the 80s there. At the scoop, at least the staff was courteous and polite, but I didn't want to go to the reception once again because of their attitude. In the dining room, the food is monotonous, not to say inedible, but it is almost impossible to feed children. Complete unsanitary conditions: spoons and forks are all greasy, and not all plates are washed, by the way, there was always not enough. I had to stand in line and wait for them to be washed in the kitchen. Ants are crawling on the tables (they have an anthill in the tabletop). The stuffiness is impossible, although there are air conditioners around the perimeter, but they are not turned on. Next, to the pension fund: of course, everything has remained since the construction of the Pitius boarding house. It's hard to name the numbers, most likely a kennel. We had a two-room room designed for three adults plus an extra bed. They gave me a cot, but there was nowhere to put it physically because of the size of the rooms. As a result, three people had to sleep on a double bed. The bathroom is very compact, and outwardly ominous. Shower, toilet and washbasin for 1 sq.m. ergonomics of Khrushchev times. There is a heater in one room, a fan in the second, which was constantly hammering, and under its noise you also have to try to fall asleep. Otherwise, you won't fall asleep from the stuffiness. Next, we were pleased with the frequency of elevator breakdowns , we have already made it a tradition to go down from the 7th floor on foot, but to go up depends on the situation. If the elevator is working. After that, we were pleased with the interruptions in water and electricity. Moreover, the administration replied that there was no light or electricity in the whole of Pitsunda (complete nonsense, we checked with friends visiting Pitsunda, they never had any interruptions with water and electricity). As a result, on the fifth day, my son came down with a high fever, my wife a couple of days later, and at the end of the rest, I myself lay in the "room" for three days. I guess it's all from the unsanitary conditions in the dining room. Because this was our fifth trip to Abkhazia. And this is the first time we've picked up something here. Strangely enough, they have a nurse on duty, the key word is "on duty", who was responsible only for distributing thermometers. That's all. But no , the hedgehog was given the advice of traditional medicine. Drink Pepsi, they say, it helps against all viruses well). If it weren't for the neighborhood with the Literary Fund, where there was a lot of entertainment for children (evening animation, a swimming pool, a children's playground and a sports ground), they caught Wi-Fi from them, despite the fact that they were 200 meters away from us, and we could connect to Pitius's WiFi only in a stuffy room near the reception. There is nothing on the beach except sun loungers, no normal cabins, no shower. For feet only
Thank God we left there. This was definitely the last time and extremely negative. Despite the fact that they paid a lot of money for everything.

In the room on the 10th floor, which should be improved, the door was broken and did not close, the toilet was dirty, the sink had never been washed in 10 days, as well as the floors in the room. The water was given by the hour, so I had to fill a canister to at least flush the toilet. The elevator broke down regularly, and if it worked, it made a terrible grinding noise. The dining room is on the ground floor. A table for 4 people, it is better to come to the beginning, because at the end there may not be salads, clean plates and glasses, and even boiling water in the samovar. Therefore, you will have to run and ask. The bread is given only white, there are four pieces of butter, cheese, and boiled sausage on the table. You choose the first one from 2.3 options, the second one is brought by the waitress when she sees you, everyone has one option. Sometimes there were 4 apples or 4 pieces of watermelon or a bun, a gingerbread on the table. From drinks every day, boiling water in a samovar or cocoa from a kettle. The only advantage of this place is the sea. But for comfortable movement, entry and exit from the sea, it is better to wear coral slippers, because the stones are large on the beach. I do not recommend the hotel.

The first line from the sea. Lots of greenery, palm trees.. The elevators are always working (even when the electricity is turned off). the food is monotonous, sausage and sausages of low quality are the same throughout the race. We didn't starve. There is a cafe nearby where you can taste various dishes. Cleaning is easy daily. Change of towels on request.

A good place for a family vacation. There are sunbeds on the beach nearby. There are green spaces all around, very clean air. Three meals a day, you choose the dishes yourself. We are happy with the trip with my wife to this boarding house. The prices are quite reasonable.

Mom handed over a printed paper that came from this boarding house with a confirmation of the reservation, but it turned out that other people had been settled in her room "literally 5 minutes ago". Is this how issues are resolved in the tourism sector, and in others? Three days before my arrival, I wrote to them on watsapp with confirmation of the transfer, indicated my mother's phone number. If you do not know whether a person will arrive or not, before giving back the reserved room, call them and clarify whether they will arrive or not. If you cannot contact the client directly, call the company that handles the transfer and specify whether they are taking such and such a person or not. These are just the basics of any job, not only in the tourism sector. Now a man with a suitcase has to run through the numbers. We have not been to Turkey, we do not have a habit of scandalizing, we rested in sanatoriums on medical and wellness vouchers repeatedly and there were no problems. The man went on vacation in full confidence that a room was reserved for him, spent 2.5 days on the road and then immediately got the impression. Thank you, but we will not come to you again.
