Complete delight! The modern museum, whose large-scale exhibitions are located on 5 floors of the building. We took a sightseeing tour, 45 minutes, an overview of six halls. And there are 20 halls in the museum! I especially liked the paleontological hall and the golden man or the golden people (excavation of mounds). Beautiful costumes.
One of the disadvantages is that there is no audio guide, the guide has to strain his vocal cords so that the whole group of 35 people can hear.
On the 1st floor there is a cafe and a souvenir shop.
I recommend you to visit!
For general development, it's probably worth a visit. The incomprehensible location of the halls is like a maze. The only thing that impressed me was the golden hall. The restored costumes, embroidered with gold, are amazing. You can buy a separate ticket only to this hall.
I was amazed by its scale. The first impression was of a wide variety of ancient expositions, the golden room and the coin room struck the imagination. And the expositions of the second half of the last century forced us to plunge into our world, many things reminded us of childhood, studying materials at an older age. After going through these expositions, you involuntarily plunge into memories.
With beautiful architecture from the outside and inside , there are few exhibits , but it was interesting to learn the history of Kazakhstan
A lot of work has been done for the museum
This museum is the youngest and largest among similar facilities located in Central Asia. The complex is located on Tauelsyzdyk Avenue, 54 and, at the same time, on the main square of the capital — Independence Square. The museum was created on the direct instructions of President Nazarbayev within the scope of the government program "Cultural Heritage". The building attracts attention with its unusual appearance and harmoniously fits into the nearby architectural ensemble, which includes several buildings and a monument of national importance.
It is very interesting, worthy works of young authors in paintings and exhibitions, many halls of different eras, there is a souvenir shop and paintings.
Huge areas and territories. There are beautiful expositions. For example, about the Golden Man. But sometimes logic gets lost. Not all the stages of Kazakhstan's formation are clear, there are downright failures. And it feels a little empty. The areas are large, but not filled
A magnificent museum. I recommend it! There are always interesting expositions. This year the museum turns 10 years old, and there will be especially many interesting events.
It's a big, beautiful museum, but there's not much exposure for such a big building. There is a hall with a small multimedia show. The disadvantage is that there are not many explanatory signs, you either need to go by QR code or look at tablets in advance in the lobby of the museum.
Initially, I underestimated this museum. I thought that nothing could surprise me there anymore. But I was very pleasantly surprised! The National Museum is now one of the places that I now recommend to all guests of Astana to visit.
1 star for comparing similar museums - the heritage of the nation and the country of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. ~90% of all exhibits are "reconstruction". At the same time, the reconstruction of exhibits 1-2 BC (For example) clothes, utensils - everything in a modern way. For what?
I do not recommend visiting, it is a waste of time
A large museum with a good collection is probably the most interesting object in Astana, which is not very rich in sights. The history of the development of the Kazakh ethnic group is very well presented. I got to see a very good replacement exhibition of the art gallery
Beautiful, grandiose... But again, another fairy tale about how another little people came up with EVERYTHING from a wheel to space rockets. The guide is stupid, she did not even answer any questions, she only read the memorized text, and at half of the exposition she said: go on yourself. The signatures of the exhibits are simply a masterpiece, for example, 41 years are written under the TA-57
Very mixed feelings, a beautiful large building, few exhibitions. I asked for a ticket to all the exhibitions, but they didn't let me go to the 6th floor, they said that the ticket did not cover (there were 0 people at the exhibition), the 5th floor was closed, but they told me about it when I already went there, the 3rd floor was shooting, again they kicked everyone out.
It's worth going, of course, but it seems you're not welcome here))
A large museum. There are many interesting halls. For me, as a tourist, it is informative and an option to avoid the heat for a while, since I went in the summer.))
A modern and very spacious museum. There are many exhibits. Good accompaniment. There are not enough Russian texts in some places. There are Kazakh and English. I was pleased with the opportunity to get acquainted with the art of Kazakhstan. Like everything in Astana, it was done with a flourish and pomp. One day is not enough for a thorough examination.
A wonderful museum, a huge number of exhibition expansions. When coming to the city, I advise you to start with the museum! You will not regret visiting this particular place one of the first!
A great museum, we were on Sunday, admission was free, there is Wi-Fi and a food court inside. I especially liked the gallery and the hall with the mammoth
I recommend visiting this museum, especially with school-age children. Everything was interesting, especially the hall with dinosaurs. We walked so much that our legs were tired!
Hello. AwesomeI am glad that I was in this museum. There are a lot of interesting things. Words cannot convey it , you need to see everything with your own eyes . The grandchildren are delighted with a lot of questions. Clean, cozy and comfortable.
The museum has a very large area! 7 floors, of which 2 floors were closed. I didn't have enough expositions in it: a large territory and few expositions. Once there was an audio guide, but now there is none and the visit turns out to be stupid. The cloakroom, elevators, escalator, toilets are all in excellent condition! But in the hall on the last 7th floor there are expositions in space-they are all covered with a layer of dust. There was even trash lying around in some expositions. At the same time, there is a viewer in each room.
Very interesting. I was in it for the sake of an exhibition of Scythian gold and ancient periods. The exhibition is amazing. A lot of interesting things for someone who is interested in ancient times. There are a lot of schoolchildren, couples go. But: the guide leads the children running, couples walk in 5 minutes one hall. It can be seen that they visit for show. The statue of Lincoln at the entrance looks so-so, a copy, gilded. I haven't watched contemporary art.
A beautiful large museum. Questions about the authenticity of the exhibits remain, especially the costumes of the ancient Kazakhs look improbable. But the spirit of modern Kazakhstan is felt. I liked the section dedicated to space and Baikonur.
A huge museum. We've been lost here all day and we don't regret it in any way. A full ticket cost 3 thousand something. The expositions are interesting. There is a place to relax, air conditioning is working. Everything is very modern. I recommend you to visit
The spacious (as Kazakhs like) building and the large areas of the museum are impressive, enthusiasts have something to see and study, systematically, organized and orderly. She took off the star rather for the service, for the indifference of the staff to their work, or rather to the visitors. They are busy with their personal affairs.
The huge number of exhibits located on 7 floors of the building was amazing. Get ready to walk a lot, suitable shoes, water. It can take from 4 to 8 hours to inspect all the exhibits. Very interesting expositions.
It's actually a fire. It so happened that when I was there, the original Leonardo Da Vinci was exhibited there (in addition, of course, to the famous golden war and everything else related to history). It was the first time in Asia and only the sixth time in the world that the painting was exhibited. Very cool,
A large museum, 7 floors. Thousands of expositions. A cursory inspection took 4 hours. The guide is not talking about anything, do not waste time, look better for yourself, it will be faster and you can take a photo. There is a cloakroom., parking. In general, I recommend it!
One of the best museums in Astana and Kazakhstan. I've been here several times and discovered something new each time. Huge, amazing spaces. Carefully thought-out expositions. Many thanks to the staff and administration of the museum!
A wonderful museum, a rich exposition. Separately, I would like to mention the exhibition of gold products, as early as the 2nd century BC and later.
Unfortunately, there were no audio guides in Russian. All exhibits in the museum are signed in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.
A wonderful place with earrings inside. Opens a person's literacy. The interior is Ken, cool, it is not felt even if there are a lot of people. Guide, it is obvious that cashiers are very simple and do their thing with good faith
How huge it is !!! But it is very interesting to learn something new, there are many different halls where you can get acquainted with the national culture of the Kazakhs!!! Everything is great 👍👍👍 I advise you to definitely visit this place+++++We came from Bashkiria ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A wonderful place to get acquainted with the history and customs of the republic.
It is informative, I really liked the 3d exposition. Fresh and impressive.
Quite an extensive collection, but a bit confusing navigation. It is unclear how to go to see everything and not return to the previous hall to change the route. Otherwise, it is very impressive.

It was interesting to visit, a lot of artifacts, a lot of history of Kazakhstan, beautiful expositions, I really liked the golden hall) my wife is delighted with the hall - the majestic Samruk floating under the ceiling is something)) I recommend it to everyone)
Big and beautiful. There are many different installations and it is better to take a tour guide, otherwise nothing is clear, and if you know the history well, there is no need
An interesting museum from the past to the present in the space of Kazakhstan. I liked the recreated incarnations of the Sarmatians, the "golden man", and the paintings in the art hall deserve attention.
We really liked the museum! We were with children aged 11 and 6. There are not many places in Astana in terms of cultural and interesting visits, I highly recommend this museum! The second one is the Energy Museum, which is also a must-visit)
A very beautiful museum! It is located almost in the very center. If you decide to come for a visa, visit, it will definitely not be superfluous. There are many beautiful exhibits and interesting national treasures.
