A place of power!A place where you can feel the power of the elements!I recommend walking away from the lighthouse to the right, there are many paths leading there, there are no crowds of tourists like next to the lighthouse, but the fascinating views among the bright greenery, the endless ocean, from the height of the 140-meter shore, watching the surf is unforgettable. You can sit for hours and admire the quaint cliffs on the lower beaches. No matter how much time you spend there, it won't be enough to breathe in that wind. Cape Roka and its surroundings are a place of amazing energy and beauty. Be sure to schedule more time here. There is a regular bus service from Sintra and Cascais to the lighthouse every 20-30 minutes
Cape Roca is not only the westernmost point of Europe, but also an incredibly picturesque place that leaves a deep impression. Here, on the cliff, the cliffs meet the raging Atlantic Ocean, creating a unique atmosphere of the power of nature. The majestic lighthouse, standing on the edge of the cliff, adds even more drama to this place and symbolizes the endless path to the sea.
The views that open from the cape are especially impressive — breathtaking both in spirit and in their beauty. The rocks, the ocean and the sky create such a feeling of vastness that you literally feel yourself on the edge of the world.
Cape Roca is an ideal place for those who seek solitude, want to feel the power of nature and enjoy the stunning scenery. This place is not just a point on the map, it is a truly special corner of the Earth that leaves an indelible mark in the memory.
This is the gorgeous place of my dreams. But me?for safety, therefore, I do not recommend going beyond the fences. I spent 2 hours there, the day was sunny, I can even sunbathe my face in January, but the stone is cold, so I need something warmer to sit. You can feel this strength and power, you can look at it endlessly. But consider the weather. There's a restaurant nearby, I haven't been there, I didn't like the reviews. I had breakfast in Cascais. You can get here by bus from Sintra and Cascais, about 40 minutes. Payment for travel in cash or with a special top-up travel card. Trains run to these cities from Lisbon quite often. There is an up-to-date route schedule in Google maps. The place is super, I've been wanting to visit it for a long time
I didn't arrive until 9 a.m. A taxi from Lisbon there cost 25 euros. Rain, fog and wind in early July. There are zero people! I'm alone! Not very lucky with the weather, but it's beautiful and feels powerful! Och is a strong place
The wind, the wind, you are mighty, you drive flocks of clouds... and tourists. And especially here, at the edge of the Earth, at Cape Roca, at the westernmost point of the Eurasian continent, where it was very difficult to stay on your feet, as well as to keep your hairdo. But the impressions are the strongest, the realization that you are in a unique place on earth, invigorates and inspires (some tourists take risky actions). The fragile young ladies almost took off. Everyone was grabbing the wooden fence, which was very low, by the way. When I was there, an old man climbed over it to walk a dog right on the edge of the earth. Both returned satisfied... The most desperate visitors strive to get close to the cliff itself. Although our guide cooled down our ardor on the bus by telling the story of how a French family came here 10 years ago, and mom and dad, in pursuit of ultra-photos, approached the very edge, but could not resist: the wind literally pushed them into the ocean. In general, the children went home as orphans. So safety is above all!
The edge of the world is here! The westernmost point of the Eurasian continent. A beautiful ocean stretching into the horizon, in calm clear weather. High cliffs broken by waves. After visiting this place, you can buy a certificate of visiting the extreme western point of the continent. A good road leads here, there is a small free parking lot. To take beautiful photos, you need to walk a little along a rocky path. The obelisk will indicate that you have reached the edge of the earth, in a westerly direction, of course, a photo on its background will remind you of this event!
The most wonderful place! Deliciously delicious and clean air, blue-blue sky, cool ocean. I wanted to sit, look into the distance and BREATHE. I didn't want to leave. A beautiful lighthouse, a cafe with delicious coffee. And the delicate fragrance from the flowers is gently carried by the wind.
I have always treated the Ocean as a living, thinking being. Here, in the midst of the harsh boundless expanse, it was especially obvious. The northern waters are very different from the southern, warm seas. There are no worthy epithets to convey this power and beauty... It was definitely worth coming here, the impressions were unforgettable. + An hour away is little Nazare, famous all over the world for its incredibly large waves. It's not just the vibrations of the water, it's the language the ocean speaks to us.... A mecca for photographers and surfers. I recommend.
One of the coolest places on the planet! Whoever was here is cool. The edge of Europe, anyway. A bus from Caixcais and Sintra, half an hour and you are at the edge of the world.
A fantastically beautiful place. It feels like you're on the edge of the earth... then there is the Ocean merging with the horizon. The ocean at the horizon is the color of liquid silver. The beauty is difficult to describe. I want to scream nonstop from the influx of feelings.
If you gather at Cabo da Roca, be sure to keep warm even in July or August-there is quite a piercing wind there.
The westernmost point of mainland Europe. It is beautiful, the height is about 100 meters above sea level. Below, the ocean is beating against the shore.

You were here once, but what memories, some positive emotions
