The airport building is small and cozy. There are shops and restaurants in the clean zone at adequate, normal prices. The impression of visiting this place is spoiled by the insanely long passport control process, where you lose at least two hours of time, but if you want to quickly, then pay $ 30 and they will spend without waiting in line.

The airport is small, you can check in and customs relatively quickly, but you need to be prepared for the fact that the flight information on the scoreboard does not correspond to reality (for example, it is indicated that the flight will be on schedule, but it is delayed by 2 hours) and the exit indicated on the ticket does not match the one through which you need to exit reality. At best, employees walk around the waiting room and shout out the destination, thereby collecting passengers, at worst there will be no notification, you will have to run between the exits yourself. There is a small shop with national souvenirs and another with alcohol.

The airport in Dushanbe is located right in the city. You can get to it by public transport - bus or trolleybus, or walk from the center in 40 minutes. Additionally, get acquainted with the non-central part of Dushanbe and go through the railway station.

Terrible airport in Dushanbe. I'm on dialysis, in serious condition. I wish this attendant to experience all the pain I'm going through. I asked for a medical center, they mockingly told me to wait. The number is 17. 11.2024. The people who worked at the medical center just didn't want to come out. There were three of them. I waited 40 minutes. I was redirected to the waiting room. I have a temperature of 39, a catheter sticking out in my lungs, and a pressure of 191. Catheter in the collarbone , surgery in the arm . In this state, I was held for 40 minutes. No reaction. They didn't do that to me in Khujand. They even saw from my face that I was falling. They were placed in a medical center before the plane took off. They gave me water and put me on the couch. Then an ambulance came for me and they took me by ambulance to the plane.
Immediately they started swearing at me and insulting me, you don't need to fly once it's bad. That's why I choose the plane, which is very bad for me. I go to hospitals. He threatens to tell me that he will cancel it for me. Who is this man who called himself on duty? He didn't introduce himself. I'm going to complain about him to the end. I was taken to the waiting room. A nurse came in 3 minutes later. She calmed me down , sat there and gave me boiling water. She said that the attendant did not allow me to lie down on the couch. I had to wait in a wheelchair for an hour and a half. I was offered to lie down in the waiting room....I asked to call some superiors , they told me that they did not exist . There are only slaves who behave as they want and the law is not written for them. I have another video, but it doesn't sink in here.

An unusually beautiful landscape opens from a bird's-eye view. The board shakes, as in all mountainous areas. Dushanbe looks like all Soviet cities from a height. (After that, the opinion changed dramatically :). At the entrance to the terminal building, I immediately noticed the noise. A lot of people are talking very loudly interrupting each other. Not only passengers and mourners, but staff too. Everything is clean. Passport control passed quickly. But I couldn't find the luggage for a long time. For some reason, suitcases are thrown on the floor from the tapes. A bunch of suitcases were lying around. Everyone was digging in this pile. Finding your own is very difficult. If you are not punchy, modest, you can stand for a very long time. The waiting rooms are very hot. There are few seats. Either the air conditioner is not working, or there is not enough power. It was very stuffy. A crowd of people. As I understand it, the mourners come in families. Creating a crowd. Several people ran up, offered some services. And I just arrived. I don't need anything yet. Turkish delight:). Very intrusive. It was not pleasant. But it is possible to exchange currency profitably. There are no problems with taxis. Everyone's prices are different. It was impossible to eat or go to the ladies' room in the building. People were crowding everywhere. Not far from the airport terminal, you can eat delicious food. The taxi driver took me to try samsa on a tandoor. The cook was just the person I looked at on YouTube :). A local celebrity, you might say. Oh, yes, I forgot, there are souvenir boutiques in the terminal building. Beautiful products. Local craftsmen have golden hands. I bought a few souvenirs when I flew back. I love everything oriental :).

The port is interesting! The plane lands easily, despite the fact that the port is located between the mountains. Customs clearance is as lucky as anyone, but most often it takes a long time. In principle, everything is simple, as everywhere else. Entry into the country is standard. Russians do not need a visa! According to a foreign passport. Taxis are difficult to find on Yandex. It is easier to get out and negotiate with the taxi drivers who meet you. The city is nearby, so the cost of a taxi is not expensive! In general, it's very difficult to get around the city with a taxi! 👎
Everything is standard for departure! Registration, customs, and septic tank! Sometimes employees can offer accelerated customs clearance for a thousand rubles. If you are in a hurry, agree! But if you have time, then it's not worth it. It's simple, not in a hurry. The duty free is large but there is nothing to take. Alcohol, chocolate and all sorts of little things. The cafe does not work in the septic tank. There is nothing to eat or drink! 👎For that there is a place for prayer. Overall, a good airport!

There is no duty, or rather, there are a couple of shops, but I'm not sure that their assortment will surprise you. The staff adheres to an oriental type of thinking and behavior, which implies waiting for staff at the reception and other waste of time that could have been avoided. Luggage on arrival is issued in an interesting way by including different baggage belts - where your luggage will be is a mystery to everyone. During the 2 years of my absence, the airport was put in order. They host summits and guests.
The terminal is already small and in case of flight delay, passengers accumulate in the terminal.
It takes a very long time to unload the luggage. There has been a burnt-out cafe in front of the terminal for 10 years..it's time to remove or build a new one.
By the way, there is a very good cafe in the knowledge of the terminal at reasonable prices (towards CIP).

Upon departure, all employees are professionals, politely help resolve disputes and are ready to help.
Also, on departure, you can eat a sambus on a budget and buy water / tea / coffee - more profitable than at other airports in other countries.

I hope you will be able to arrange a queue at customs upon arrival, as well as a logical and understandable baggage claim (now this is a big problem!) This process always takes at least 40 minutes, and sometimes more than an hour, and it is very exhausting for people after the flight :(

There is absolutely no way for the airport of the capital of the state. I don't even know what to compare it with in Russia now. I'm silent about Moscow, but even in regional cities in the Russian Federation, all airports are two heads higher (I fly a lot, there is something to compare). There are few seats, the room is cramped, airport employees are always ready to offer the "green corridor" service for a penny. There is a dutik, but again, you do not have to wait even for the current level of product representation in the Russian Federation. In general, the field for development and opportunities is huge.

Everything would be fine, but the technology for allowing passengers into the check-in area is disgusting. People are accumulated in the main hall, the queue is not organized and is not divided by flights. As a result, people pushing, shoving, catching each other's legs try to break through, sometimes turning into a herd. I feel especially sorry for women and the elderly. I've never seen this, the meaning is completely unclear, it's disrespectful to passengers.

I just arrived at the airport, but the feeling is not the best. The airport is located near fairly high mountains, so when we landed, there was a feeling that the plane was about to hook the mountains with the fuselage. Therefore, it is better not to look particularly impressionable out the window when boarding. Passengers were allowed through the pipes - this is a plus. The minimum number of passport control specialists working (3 specialists worked, although two planes landed almost simultaneously, in addition, the chief constantly held "very respected" people without waiting in line). This is a big minus. Very long baggage shipment. Luggage from the belt is dumped on the floor in heaps from which it is extremely difficult to dig it out if your suitcase is at the bottom. This is another big disadvantage. There is a currency exchanger at the airport with the most favorable (in rubles) exchange rate in the whole of Dushanbe (as of May 2023). This is a very big plus.

The airport itself is small and cramped. They do not sell SIM cards to visitors in the hall. On departure, they offer services to check in and cross the border without waiting in line. That's why the rest of the passengers stand for 30-40 minutes. People in civilian and border clothes constantly get "their own" out of turn. When several flights depart or arrive at the same time, 2 or 3 windows conduct passport control, which creates an incredible crowd. About the queue, I bent it. There are no queues, there's just a crowd of people who make their way as best they can. I really want the airport administration to pay attention to these points and make adjustments. Thanks!

A small airport, strange people from the security service at the entrance demand to show their passport, pick it up and go somewhere. To the questions who are you, what are you for? checking, they respond rudely. They don't have uniforms or any other identification marks, and they look more like bandits. I didn't like it very much.
There are not enough cafes for the international airport, there was 1 cafe, the choice of food and drinks is very poor.

A typical Soviet-era airport. It so happened that when we got there, a lot of snow fell in Dushanbe on March 1. The flight was delayed for 15 hours. There were 8 flights at the time of arrival. You can imagine what was going on at border control and baggage collection. But the passengers left a very pleasant impression. No one stood in line, they talked and acted calmly.

Most importantly, luggage up to 20 kilograms is accepted without additional charges, not like in some Russian aviation companies, for example, Azimuth accepts luggage up to 5 kg, if one kilogram more, then you pay the ticket price.

Yesterday, my daughter and I flew from Dushanbe to Moscow on flight 201. When passing through customs control with inspector Karomaullo Odinakhonovich.Sir, he asked me for the consent of the father for the daughter. I told him that we had bought a ticket from Moscow-Dushanbe 25:01-2024, Dushanbe-Moscow on 27-01-2024. When buying tickets, no one said that the father's consent would be needed. In just two days of the trip, I spent 74 thousand rubles for tickets. In addition, the employee demanded 650 somoni from me for passing through customs control. I said that I have 100 somon in my leftovers. I gave them to him. He also demanded to transfer at least 3,000 more rubles to his Dushanbe City card. To let us through, I had to call my daughter (she is a student at the University of Russia), transfer it to his card. I just don't know by what right he made me pay him money. Even if the protocol was not drawn up. And why does he occupy such a FAT PLACE, receive a normal salary, and is also engaged in corruption?
