An incredible architectural structure!!! Modern, thoughtful, concise!! If it were not for the delicate metal and concrete roof of the complex, one could say a minimalistic and ascetic architectural solution. And in contrast to the appearance of the cubic halls, such luxury is Leonardo da Vinci's "John the Baptist", Monet, Mathis, Gauguin, Rembrandt..
If you are in the Emirates, be sure to visit!
Emirates . Abu Dhabi .
And yes, friends, there is a real Louvre in the Emirates.
How did it happen?
Abu Dhabi is a legendary museum that has become a point of attraction for fans of history, architecture and painting from all over the world.
It became an art museum in Abu Dhabi,
a branch of the Louvre in Paris. Really.
The Louvre in Paris has sold the United Arab Emirates the right to use its name in a future branch of the museum for 400 million euros.
The total cost of building a branch in Abu Dhabi is estimated at one billion euros. The agreement on the creation of a new museum was signed on March 6, 2007 in the capital of the UAE, the France Presse news agency reported.
The museum was opened in 2017 after long negotiations and huge investments.
The collection of the Louvre Abu Dhabi includes exhibits from various eras and civilizations, including paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, Van Gogh, Manet, Bellini.
The museum building is a synthesis of European and Arab traditions: it has an openwork glass dome, snow-white walls and geometric channels with water.
You walk around the museum as if in some kind of fantastic space, You can stay here all day and come back the next day.
When you leave the museum , this incredible openwork roof and the realization that the museum stands on water . Everything is unusual ! Achievements of science and implementation into reality .
The Louvre Museum is located in Abu Dhabi on the island of Saadiyat in the Persian Gulf.
You can get here by car in 10 minutes from the center of Abu Dhabi or by bus 94. We took a taxi,
To rent an audio guide (25 drx), we did not meet in Russian, but if you need another language, take with you an identity document (for collateral).
Admission is free for children under 13 years old.
Enjoy. I wish you a pleasant time.
A great location, I definitely recommend it. Very unusual and beautiful! You can take a walk, gain new emotions, hold a photo shoot, learn just great shots, you will definitely not regret it
My favorite place in Abu Dhabi. They bring interesting temporary exhibitions, and any corner of the museum is an amazing location for photos. Commercial filming is not coordinated here, but they allow you to use a professional mirrorless camera without question.
My place of power!
I love these architectural forms!
I do not follow the exhibitions held in the museum, but to visit the open area under this beautiful wicker dome and watch the building from the water - it seems that I can forever!!!
Thanks to Jean Nouvel for creating and giving this beauty to the world!
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a place where art meets futurism. Even on the approach, you realize that there is something special here: the dome of the building, as if hovering over the island of Saadiyat, is already a work of art in itself. When the light breaks through its patterned structure, it feels like you are in a fantasy world. The atmosphere is literally mesmerizing.
It's no less impressive inside. The collection includes works by masters from all over the world: from oriental relics to masterpieces of Western art. This idea of global dialogue through creativity is immediately catchy. But, to be honest, we expected to see more — the space seems too empty in places. Yes, there are famous works here, but not on the scale you would expect from the Louvre.
Another point is the ticket price of 63 dirhams (about 1800 rubles). For many, it will seem high, especially when you consider that you can get around the exposition in a couple of hours. On the other hand, the architecture and atmosphere of the museum do their job — you come out with the feeling that you have been somewhere unique. In general, we did not regret the money spent.
If you decide to go, we advise you to come in the morning before it gets too crowded. And be sure to specify which temporary exhibitions are on that day — this can add bright emotions. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a place for those who are ready to enjoy art slowly, with an open heart. It's not perfect, but it leaves a strong impression.

Impressive, must-visit in the UAE.
A lot of exhibits, a huge number of exhibitions (thematic).
Excellent location, there is a place to stay and view the exhibits.
A cool space, everything is done in a modern style, ergonomically.
As in most museums, if you are not a big fan of art, it will be boring.
You are unlikely to get any impressions, such as from the Sheikh Zayed Mosque.
Good afternoon everyone, we were on vacation, and we stopped by the Louvre, Dubai, beautiful, and outside and inside, but it's better with an Audi guide, everything is in English and Arabic ... and so everything is for 5 balls, I recommend it if anyone is in the emirates,
The collection of modern art is small, so the impression is lower than expected.
The territory is beautiful, the exhibits are placed competently and aesthetically.
Architecture is a delight!
Very cool......I advise everyone to visit..the architecture itself is interesting...the building....beautiful views, if you like history, then I definitely recommend it..good parking...the restaurant is so-so..Tasteless and expensive
Louvre in the desert))
There is a branch of the Louvre in Abu Dhabi, where the building itself is an incredibly beautiful and stylish exhibit.
A huge openwork dome over the sea is fantastic!
The dome is made of 8000 parts - this design diffuses sunlight, creates protection and at the same time illuminates the room.
There is a trunk in the center, I had a strong association with the crown of a giant tree!
It's very impressive)
And Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Picasso, Cezanne, Renoir and Monet - for me 🔥 (apparently I went to Art School for 11 years for a reason;))
I soooo liked it!
And temporary exhibitions about the creation of fairy tales and myths of the peoples of the world are wonderful!!!
I advise everyone)
The building itself and the exposition are magnificent🔥
Modern architecture, unlike anything else: the art of straight lines under an openwork dome, a combination of white-gray with blue waters of pools and the sky.
13 halls. At first it seems that the exposition is sparse, the halls are half empty. But then you realize that everything is exactly as it should be, so as not to overload with information and present each exhibit in the best possible light. The collection is very diverse: sculptures, ceramics, sacred writings, paintings, tapestries, porcelain, from antiquity to the present. Monet and Manet (like a cruel joke, their paintings hang side by side), Chagall, Picasso, Kandinsky, Renoir. There are very cool interactive panels in each hall telling about each exhibit. There is a separate museum for children, a cafe, and a gift shop. Huge parking lot. I recommend taking 4 hours to visit. The Louvre deserves it.
P.S. I almost forgot: tickets for two cost $ 40.
That's great! Louvre Abu Dhabi - an oriental tale on the water! One day is not enough - to go around all the halls, admire the water surface inside the museum, the amazing ceiling, like the whole museum, the whole exposition is just space! I recommend you to visit!
It's very interesting and beautiful.
Informative.
More than 30% of Russian-speaking visitors, which is encouraging.
There is a place to eat.
Huge free parking.
Minimum queues.
There is an audio guide in Russian (downloadable).
I liked the Louvre first of all for its design and construction. My wife liked the exhibits more. For a change, you can go (entrance ticket for an adult is 65 dirhams, children under 18 are free of charge) a beautiful place.
An excellent exhibition and a must-visit place.
It cost about 800- 1000 rubles to get from the center by taxi.
The tables are interesting.
Be sure to relax on the inner embankment and look at the turtles.
It's a beautiful place. Very informative. You can download an audio guide and connect to Wi-Fi, it will be even more interesting. Absolutely the entire history of mankind is collected. You can't get around everything in a day. The ticket price is low, and admission is free for children. I highly recommend it. The Arabs certainly did well, they created an interesting museum inside and a futuristic one outside!! In principle, there's not much to see in Abu Dhabi, except for this museum and amusement parks.
A modest exposition, but presented with great attention to visitors, very modern for leisure activities. Don't expect to get into the story here, there's sweetness for the aesthete.
Interesting exhibits, everything would be in Russian, it would be good, but the whole narrative is in English, the building itself is cool, there are many locations for photos. Transport accessibility, we boarded and took a public bus.
A stylish, beautiful and modern museum. It is worth coming here even for the sake of the building itself to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful views. Be sure to download the Louvre app, so it will be easier to navigate and read or listen about the exhibits in your native language. The Louvre cafe is very expensive, I think that cafes at museums should have more loyal prices. The souvenir shop is also very expensive, we looked at it and left, although we planned to take something there as a souvenir. I was very impressed by the children's Louvre. In modern museums, it is customary to pay attention to children's development, respect for this! The game "Mars" was also impressed, the child was delighted!
Very cool.
I recommend you to visit. The museum is small, stylish and comfortable. Audio guide in different languages (downloaded directly from the museum on their free WiFi) - super
A grandiose and beautiful structure. A must-visit in Aba Dhabi! He visited an exhibition of paintings from the Paris Museum d'Orsay. I saw with my own eyes the famous "Bedroom in Arles" by Van Gogh. Unforgettable!
Visually interesting, thoughtful (from the point of view of the museum organization) inside. Of course, it's 'instantaneous'. At the heart of our own collection is the idea that the most geographically distant cultures still have a lot in common: in themes, in approaches to the image. Plus temporary imported exhibitions: now there are wonderful post-impressionists. And there is a lot of Russian speech everywhere - and it is very pleasant, to be honest
An incredible museum. I really liked it, there are a lot of exhibits. I won't describe the exhibition, but I'll tell you about the museum itself: large parking, gift shop, good air conditioning.
In my opinion, one of the best museums in the world. Yes, there are not as many exhibits as in the Hermitage or the Tretyakov Gallery, but this is a thoughtful space that covers art from the Stone Age to modern installations.
It's a great place!
I'm not much of a connoisseur of beauty, but it was quite easy and even interesting for me in this place! Without boredom, we walked, looked, and diluted the day with a beautiful one, I would hardly have gone to the Louvre separately, but you can drop by with an excursion!
A wonderful place! I recommend it!
13 halls! 13!!!
The most diverse: paintings, sculptures, carpets, mummies, rooms...at the end, go out into the courtyard of the Louvre with its gorgeous roof and a view of the bay
+ free luggage storage, we leave our suitcases, backpacks and go for a walk
+ free audio guide, download the program by QR code and walk at your own pace, listen to stories about each exhibit
+ leather sofas with chargers everywhere
+ there is also a cafe and a souvenir shop
There is a nice park nearby, the embankment is cool, and there is also a bus stop nearby
...you can Google, look for a free bus to the Louvre, there is definitely one, depending on where you start from....we arrived on the free bus Dubai-Louvre and goes back..
The price of a ticket to the Louvre is $ 18, it's worth it.
Unexpectedly, of course, in the Emirates to be in the Louvre. And at the same time, it's nice. By the way, the country has leased the name of the Louvre. We'll see what happens next.
The place itself is beautiful, you can see the funds invested in both the construction and the exposition. There are many halls, proper lighting and indoor air temperature. Security guards in each hall not only guard the exhibits, but can also direct if you get lost. A very expensive souvenir shop at the exit. Girls from China and Russia held whole photo shoots against the background of the portrait "Mona Lisa". It was beautiful 👌
A must-visit in Abu Dhabi! A modern building with an unusual design, a lot of exhibits, you can walk there, if not all day, then you definitely need to allocate half a day.
I got to some special day and got a ticket for free, it's nice :)
A very beautiful building, the architecture is crazy, located on the shore of the bay.
I advise you to visit only for the sake of photos, and look for turtles :)
According to the contract, the French Louvre brings expositions, a contract for 35 years.
According to the exposition, everything is very strange, vinaigrette. In one room there may be Da Vinci, Greek armor and chairs from China.
There is a feeling that the French are not quite cleanly fulfilling their part of the contract.
We visited the Louvre on the island of Saadiyat Emirates during a tour of Abu Dhabi. It is the first multicultural museum in the Arab world. The Louvre collection includes exhibits from various eras and civilizations, including paintings by Leonardo da Vinci ("Savior of the World"), Picasso, Gauguin, Manet, Magritte, Bellini, Chagall..
I am absolutely delighted with what I have seen. Of course, they passed strict control, the frame, the bags were translucent, even water could not be carried. There was only 1.5 hours of time. It is critically small to carefully inspect the expositions. The halls seem confusing the first time. While you look, while you read through the "translator" the title, the author.. The guide does not accompany you around the museum, only tells you during the trip.
Wonderful impressions of touching great authors. Must-visit!
We visited the museum in April 2024, it is very spacious, there is a lot of air and, thanks to this, it is generally quite comfortable to be in the museum. A gorgeous audio guide, you can download to your phone and listen while viewing the exhibits! There is an exit to the street, the children's museum is interactive! A gift shop, there is also a place to eat! A great place, it will be interesting for everyone
If it were possible to bet another 5 ⭐️, I would bet. A must-visit every time I'm in Abu Dhabi. I'm not a great connoisseur of fine art at all, but there's a special atmosphere every time. I'm just thrilled to be there. And the architecture and interior of this place are simply ecstatic every time!! Especially in the evening, at sunset it can be just magical!
A beautiful place!
They meet and escort you in free electric cars.
There is still a lot of construction going on outside the territory, but it's worth coming here.
Everything is very technological and beautiful.
I recommend it!
The interior space is huge and the exhibits are displayed in such a way that visitors do not need to interfere with each other to view masterpieces spanning 8000 years of human history (from the two-headed bust from Ain Ghazal (6000 BC), one of the first images of man, to paintings by Leonardo da Vinci).
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is certainly magnificent and is rightfully considered an important cultural landmark in both Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. The entrance ticket to the Louvre Abu Dhabi is 63 AED, about the same as the entrance ticket to the Louvre in Paris…
The museum is a role model. An example of how to build and organize. It is worth visiting for everyone. A very beautiful building, combined with water. Turtles swim. Collection: This is not the Hermitage at all. With the world by a thread. You are unlikely to go a second time: you have seen the exposition, except for exhibitions, but the exhibition space is small. Everything is very interesting, comfortable to watch - there are no crowds. You can safely approach the Da Vinci painting, stand as long as you want. There is Wi-Fi. We downloaded the Louvre app, there are various audio tours in Russian. We listened wonderfully. Plenty of seating, spacious. There is a children's museum. The toilet is good: the doors to the cabins are like emergency exits, so that the soap flows, you need to move the disk away from yourself.
Only positive impressions remained
It will take an hour and a half or two to visit the main exhibition, you don't have time to get tired. The beautiful architecture of the Louvre will definitely not leave anyone indifferent)
At the exit of the main halls, there is a temporary exhibition, a visit is also possible with a special ticket, a cafe and a restaurant.
There is an official application for your phone, you can listen in Russian about each exhibit.
A wonderful museum, a very pleasant space, modern design, lots of space. The exposition is interesting, there are many different eras, trends, both in painting and sculpture, there are interesting and recognizable works of great creators. It is better to download the audio guide and you can walk on your own. Tickets can be bought online or on the spot, there will be no difference in price. Children are free of charge. There is also an interesting space museum for children, very interactive and informative (in English, French or Arabic). A place worth visiting.
A good place to relax. There is no problem with the passage. It is enough to purchase tickets. There are many masterpieces of art. The best impression remained. Easy and unobtrusive. I liked it!
A beautiful place both outside and inside. Interesting exhibits in the halls, built according to the historical timeline from the very ancient (several hundred thousand years BC) to our times. Free audio guide via the app. There is free parking and a small promenade on site.
There are not many expositions, but they are interesting, and the surroundings themselves mostly make the local Louvre a calling card. If you want to look at a really large collection of paintings and ancient relics, then the Hermitage, the Louvre in Paris, the Tretyakov Gallery, and so on are for you. If we ignore this, then everything is very beautiful.
As always, he is incomparable. Pacification - that's how you can describe it in one word. There is a very pleasant park around the museum, in which there is a pleasant cafe with delicious coffee.
We were there several times, beautifully, without a crowd. You can safely consider and analyze everything. I really liked the exposition on children's fairy tales. Including old Fairy Tale Books. In general, the Louvre is very interesting in the truest sense!
The cafe is inside, on 3. We ordered a croissant, but it never came :)) They forgot.
An interesting museum. Of course not the Louvre (Parisian), but it's still interesting to see. Paintings by famous artists, interesting exhibitions. Modern and tasteful.
An interesting location for art lovers and connoisseurs. As a person far from him, I was pleased with the architecture of the building itself, the location on the water and the beautiful photos inside and against the background of the Louvre. My wife was pleased with the exhibits of the museum. Plus, at the time of our trip, a temporary Cartier exhibition was held on the territory of the museum, where we looked at the expensive precious products of this house, presented as a gift at one time to various powerful people of this world. It was interesting...
A very beautiful place! Definitely worth a visit at least once. The building itself is interesting. There is a packing for the car. I recommend downloading the museum's app in advance, where you can listen to the audio guide for free
A beautiful museum with a beautiful building. The museum itself is not very large and consists of 11/12 halls. Most of the halls are occupied by sculptures, frescoes, coins, etc. There are not many paintings. The main feature of the museum is located inside on the street - it is a beautiful space and an unusual roof.
It is good to go to the museum in the afternoon, when the sun is high and the sun's rays pass through the roof. By evening, these rays are much less.
You can get into the interior of the museum, where everyone likes to be photographed, only through the purchase of a ticket and the museum itself.
The 94th bus runs from the city to the museum. Stop right at the museum. This is his ultimate goal. You can then take the same bus to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque
An unusual place in its architecture) which has its own bright atmosphere) there is an application in which you can listen to almost every exhibit in Russian.
An interesting place. The building itself is really impressive, the stunning dome and the locations under it, but this is a shell, the internal content in my opinion, unlike the Louvre in France, is very limited. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is more like a theme park for tourists, there are almost no masterpieces of world art here, in 3 hours you can walk around the whole slowly. According to the guide, the exhibits change every six months. In general, the place deserves attention and respect. Thank you for your time.
