I liked everything very much! Everything is top five, and special thanks to the chefs and staff in the dining room, everything is at the highest level!!!!! You can relax with the whole family!
Very beautiful nature. The sea is just wonderful, clean. The service is good, there are not enough smiles from the staff. Wi-Fi is slow, I would like it to be faster.

I have been guarding the Cote d'Azur for 6 years, it is more compact after repair, but less popular, although very pleasant, I can't say bad, although the food last season was not very good, people complained
There is a continuous infection in the sea, everyone is sick, without turning off. There's a queue of children in the hospital, all on a drip. The hotel itself is not bad. Rooms, service, territory. But the food is p*dec.
Not only is the food disgusting, but it's the same thing every day. Money was wasted on food. And in general, apart from staying at the hotel, there is nothing to do there. Rest for pensioners.
Hello everyone. I want to share our experience of traveling to Abkhazia, and above all to the much-vaunted boarding house “Cote d'Azur”.
The vacation was planned in advance, as a family and as part of 3 families. The order to the boarding house was placed in February for the middle of July 2016. However, despite the thoughtfulness, the story of our vacation began even before our arrival in Abkhazia, because a fire broke out in the boarding house a month before our arrival and we (all 3 families) were denied accommodation. When we found another place to stay and asked for a refund of the money paid, we were refused, citing the fact that: a fire is force majeure, and the boarding house has eliminated all traces of the fire and is ready to receive us on our dates according to the reservation. Of course, we were still preparing ourselves for the fact that there would be traces of fire (a slight smell of burning or unnoticeable smudges, or something else), but what we faced… You can't prepare yourself for this!!!!!
There were smudges and a burning smell, but honestly, they didn't bother me very much. But the INDIFFERENCE, INDIFFERENCE, NEGLIGENCE and sometimes RUDENESS of the staff, and most importantly, the ADMINISTRATION of this boarding house, sometimes led us into a STUPOR.
Well, now everything is in order.
Our family (2 adults and an 8-year-old daughter) a room with a sea view, a balcony and an additional one was booked. location (air conditioning and room amenities). Upon check-in, they tried to put us in a room, where the two of us would not disperse, but to put an additional one. the place (they have a cot – wildly not comfortable, her husband slept on it, because it is not possible and dangerous to put a child on it) is out of the question. But it turns out that they completely forgot that our family consists of 3 people and that we need an additional one. place. This room was without curtains (staff explanation (OP): they are in the wash, we will hang them tomorrow), the curtain in the bathroom was lying on the floor (OP: we will hang it now, we did not notice), on the bedspread (two single beds pushed together) there is a burnt hole in the very center (OP: there are no others, these covers of this room). We were lucky, because when we checked in, all the rooms in this building were free and when contacting the reception, we were allowed to choose any one. Others, unfortunately, have already been much less fortunate. From the balcony we really had a beautiful view of the sea (despite the 1st floor), BUT under the balcony, right on the beautiful green lawn, a dump of garbage from the fire was organized (burnt bars, pieces of roof, stubs and everything that remains from the fire ...). Moreover, the landfill was regularly replenished, because the analysis of the fire continued almost daily (when it was not raining) and very often, during this analysis, particles (small and large) of fire dust fell on our balcony and on our washed clothes. In this regard, it was often not possible to sit at a table on the balcony or hang things out to dry.
The advantage of any room in this boarding house is a stretched clothesline on the balcony with clothespins or a portable dryer (very convenient).
The next shock for us was that the entire air conditioning system in this building of the boarding house broke down on the day of our arrival and the room was just terribly stuffy. To our natural question: "How is this problem solved?", the receptionist answered vaguely: "The problem is being solved, but since it's the weekend and no one works anywhere, the repair will take at least 3 days!!!!!!".
- And how do we live and sleep these "at least 3 days"?!
- We will have to be patient..... – the answer was given to us.
Imagine, TO SUFFER for 9,800 per day, while the system was cut down in their building. But here we were lucky again (at least, I'm already inclined to think so) – the weather turned bad and a cool breeze blew from the sea, then from the mountains, which made staying in the room quite comfortable with an open balcony. However, the balcony door could rarely be opened, because the fire-fighting workers were not particularly shy and worked, and worked, and worked without holding back any emotions .....!!! Moreover, this work took place not only from the outside, but also inside the building, and even in the afternoon (when usually all families with children want to relax in the room) the walking along the corridors and shouting over the builders did not stop. I will say more, at any time of the day, they could enter our room without knocking and be surprised that the room was occupied, leave, and then after a while, come back without knocking and be surprised again. That's how we lived for all 9 days, not knowing where we were at the construction site or on vacation.
A couple of days later, however, the air conditioners were brought and their installation began. And not only to the occupied rooms, but also to all available ones. Of course, there was more noise, but we were ready to be patient – after all, they seem to be trying for us. But it was not there, because the installation was not based on the principle of the correct direction of the air flow, but on the principle that it is much easier to attach an air conditioner. Ours blew directly into the center of the bed, in general, it was also not possible to turn it on while in bed…
In general, our entire vacation was held under the motto "What happens next?!". And then it happened.
On the 3rd day of stay at the boarding house, a decent storm rose at sea and a lot of algae washed ashore, as well as buoys protecting from swimming into the swimming area of all sorts of yachts, scooters, etc. And what do you think, no matter who, after the end of the storm, began to correct its consequences – no, no, and no again… But in the neighboring, cheaper and lower-level boarding houses, everything was fixed the next day. In general, the mud was removed four days later, but the buoys remained lying on the shore when we left, and every day scooters from other boarding houses moored right to the shore, luring customers…
On the 6th day of the pool (and this is not an exaggeration), when we went to the reception, we were answered: "What do you want?! Today is a day off! (and again the words we already know) And no one works anywhere!" In general, the pool was also not changed until our departure, and it took 3 days, but the truth was in the process of it…
We underwent acclimatization all in turn, both children and adults (in my opinion, in a light form: all exactly one day).
The beach is pebbly, not only the guests of the boarding house rest on it, but also those who wanted to come from Gagra. However, there is enough space for everyone, but there are no sun beds and especially umbrellas. To get to the shower and toilet, you need to make a dangerous journey, because cut metal rusty pipes stick out of the ground, apparently from some old buildings. In the middle of the beach we met a large piece of rebar. When we informed the administration about this, they were surprised, but still asked the caretaker of the beach in front of us if such a thing was possible, to which he replied: "Yes, it's lying, I dug it up..." Imagine, I didn't remove it, but dug it... just in case, or suddenly a 10-liter piece of concrete with a bucket with a 0.5 m metal pin sticking out will take it anywhere. And even this viewer joked later – like you need to walk with a metal detector here ... and indeed, dripping with children in pebbles, we will find one sharp thing, then another…
But not everything was bad, there were also ADVANTAGES to our vacation.
I want to say THANK YOU to Galina, the maid, honestly and efficiently did her job!
THANKS to the caretaker of the garden, a very beautiful and well-groomed green area!
The food is good enough. However, the recycling of products is too obvious (fried liver for lunch, stewed potatoes with liver for dinner, etc.). But THANKS anyway, everything is quite fresh and delicious at home.
I am very pleased with the amazing nature of Abkhazia (we rested in Sochi for 2 days, there is no such thing there). Nature is real and untouched. The water in the sea is clear, blue and free of debris and turbidity. Even at great depth, the bottom is visible. However, jellyfish often appeared, which was not very pleasant. The mountains are breathtaking, very beautiful. On the last day of our vacation, we finally got lucky with the weather. The sea was without a single wave, despite the light breeze and it was so GOOD that we forgot about all the disadvantages of our vacation.
I liked the excursion to Lake Ritsu (they did not take it through the guides) and I really did not like the horse ride (organized by the guides).
To sum up, I want to say that if the weather is wonderful or you have a cheerful company, then it is POSSIBLE to relax in the Cote d'Azur boarding house. By the way, it is the most beautiful building in the city of Gagra. But in Abkhazia, you can relax much cheaper and much better!!!
