We had a big party in Mestia for the January holidays of 2025
Interior: it resembles a pub where you can paint on the walls. Overall, the interior is interesting, but very politicized.
Food: ordered a kudbari at the company - liked it. The soups and other dishes weren't bad either. Almost everyone ordered "mashed potatoes" for the side dish. Potatoes are not fresh, cooked in water. Plus, they brought the latest one. We concluded that the potatoes were cooked 1-2 days ago.
Staff: as the previous lbdi pointed out in the reviews, "if you're Russian, you're not welcome here." We asked the waiter if he speaks Russian, to which we received an official reply. Throughout the entire dialogue, the waiter answered simply, avoiding eye contact. He wasn't rude or rude, but he seemed to be doing me a favor with his attitude. We go to a place to have a delicious meal and get positive emotions. The result is diametrically opposite. On the T-shirts of the person it says "20% of my territory, is occupied by Russians"
Bottom line: if you're Russian, I think you'll be uncomfortable here.
We visited the restaurant today, and unfortunately, the impressions were extremely negative. I liked the French fries from the whole menu – it was the only more or less edible item. I support the opinion of other visitors: the attitude towards Russians here is completely unacceptable. Politics should not affect ordinary people, but it seems that this omission has become the norm here.
The setting and service leave much to be desired – the plates were literally thrown on the table, and the dishes were served as if they were doing it with obvious irritation.
It is especially unpleasant that all the staff can clearly speak Russian, but persistently communicate in English. At the same time, English leaves much to be desired: there are a lot of grammatical and lexical errors in the speech of employees, which further complicates the communication process and creates a feeling of outright unwillingness to be friendly or understandable to customers.
There is a feeling that customers are not appreciated here at all. It is a pity that good food and decent service have been replaced by such a level of inhospitality.
A Russophobic institution that doesn't set foot in anymore. The staff speaks Russian, but they do it with contempt. There is no maintenance in general - empty and dirty dishes can stand for hours. The food is taken out quickly, the food is delicious - they took kubdari, kharcho, Georgian salad, ostri and homemade wine. After we realized where we were, we wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. Whether to go or not is everyone's business. But you're unlikely to have a good time.
It's a great place, there's a terrace, it's delicious. The service is good, everyone is very friendly. In the evening, you can ask for a plaid. We really liked it.
There was one disadvantage, it was impossible to make a payment by card
It's a pity that a few years ago we were walking and dancing with the waiters to live music. Now they are sullen people who don't make eye contact. Many thanks to the chefs for keeping the brand in cooking for so many years. Of course, I reluctantly hope that they don't spit on our plates.
I didn't like the place. This is the fifth time in Georgia, we have tried a lot, there is something to compare it with. We decided to try the Svan meat pie - a complete disappointment, sour and salty brew. The dough, to be fair, is delicious. The cheese is tasteless, the sauce is liquid, the chicken is rubbery, fu. The soups are mediocre. Service too. We will not return and I will not advise anyone.
I do not recommend this place. The food is absolutely tasteless. The soup is not salted at all, it is bland. The trout feels like it was just shoved into the grill and baked itself, and baked, no taste. We ate trout in other cities of Georgia, they will add greens there, then sauce, but here there is nothing. And they charge 18 GEL for this, but I cook better at home. A pack of dogs runs among the tables, growling at each other, trying to fuck and no one does anything about it. It was unpleasant to sit. All the waiters are wearing T-shirts with political inscriptions against Russia. There is no reason to go to this place.

Russians are not welcome here, as there are inscriptions on the staff's clothes and walls. It's a pity they didn't notice it right away. At the same time, the staff calmly serves and speaks Russian. The broken double-glazed door and the lack of a door closer in winter made physical spending time there uncomfortable.
The prices are slightly higher than the cafe. We were a big company, and not everyone liked the kitchen, but on the whole I enjoyed it. Especially lobio.
After realizing the politicization of the institution, I probably won't come here.
We went in and out. They didn't even try the food, they decided not to take any chances. It's too politically engaged, and it's unpleasant to be there if you're Russian.
I don't know how many stars to put. Excellent service, interesting interior, you can paint on the walls, very tasty and inexpensive food for a tourist place. But then we saw a sticker on the wall right above our table (not the visitors, but the cafe staff). I don't mind taking money, but at the same time they humiliate the country from which many tourists come. Personally, we won't go there anymore.
Objectively speaking, the food is of average quality. Chakhokhbili is almost without spices, the kharcho is sour. We carried the bill for a very long time, we thought we wouldn't wait any longer.
The waiters speak English.
What concerns the design of the cafe, the menu, and the waiters' clothes is quite politicized and may be unpleasant for tourists from Russia. They don't spit in the soup.
If you speak Russian, then you are not welcome here (it is very sad that such an attitude. The staff did their job.... I will not be able to evaluate the food on the main menu, since we got to breakfast from 10 to 12.
If you were born in Russia and speak Russian, you are not welcome here) The waiters have an inscription on their T-shirt: 20% of my country is occupied by Russians. It looks very "hospitable"😁

This is the third time in Mestia and each time this restaurant is getting worse and worse. Potatoes with cheese are completely tasteless, bean pie is the same - it feels like they don't put spices at all. Chicken soup is very mediocre, without rich broth. The rest of the dishes were 3 out of 5. One of the dishes was generally waited for 40 minutes.
Previously, all this was offset by a great atmosphere - music, dancing, fun. This time it didn't happen. I do not recommend visiting - there are places where it is much tastier and cheaper.
The staff speaks Georgian, English and Russian
Prices are reasonable for the very center of the tourist village (khachapuri 15 lari, pizza 18 lari, a liter of compote 10 lari, coffee 4-7 lari)
The food seemed sharper than usual (I compare it with the same dishes that were taken in other places, ojahuri, soup with meatballs - everything is quite spicy for me)
Convenient location
The toilets are clean

The raw Mushrooms in the soup made me vomit. They asked to repeat the wine , the waiter just left in silence and did not bring anything . They don't want to speak Russian and the waiters have the appropriate inscriptions on their T-shirts
Fresh juice is diluted 50/50 with juice from the package. It can be felt and tasted immediately, and it can be seen by the color, and if the picketed one stands, it sinks to the bottom. It is very unpleasant that citrus fruits and other fruits in the country are hanging on branches for almost free, rotting on the ground.
The portions are small, the ojahuri Normas was the second course. I liked the Georgian vegetable salad. The dishes are brought quickly - they are not cooked from under the knife, they are heated. Therefore, I lowered the rating for the level of the dining room, not the restaurant.
It's a great cafe, the food is delicious. I managed to eat only once, I would like to visit the cafe again. But there's a problem with the staff. Those who speak Russian are not allowed in. They say there are no places.
Although they let us in for the first time, then we made an order in English, and then the staff heard that we were speaking Russian and were not allowed in the cafe anymore
We visited immediately upon arrival in Mestia on the recommendation of relatives. It is a very atmospheric place, the food is good. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly.

The food is not tasty, everything is very salty. The service is slow. The staff is politicized, the institution is decorated with obscene slogans against Russians. They are not shy about their Nazism
The waiters are ill-mannered and do not know how to keep subordination. The portions are small. We ordered a barbecue for 15 lari, they brought us 4 small pieces with bones and cartilage. Bad place, food and staff
The cafe is very atmospheric and very popular, if a tired waiter comes up to you - forgive him! In general, we did not visit many restaurants in Georgia twice - but we were here several times. Both on the veranda and inside. We recommend taking potatoes with cheese (I don't remember the name). Well, the toilet is absolutely charming 😂
A classic cafe in the center of Mestia. It was delicious, we ordered a lot of all kinds of Georgian food - everything was successful. There is a local beer
