The cafe is located right on the beach, so you can admire the sea without looking up from your meal. I really liked the cocktails (mojito, strawberry), delicious cuisine, everything is fresh. We ordered khachapur "Boat" there several times. The service is good, the staff is friendly. There is a "live sound", they perform songs quite well. Payment is in cash or transfer via Wi-Fi. The place is beautiful, there are many flowering plants around. The only disadvantage is that it seemed to us that it was expensive, not much more expensive than in simple canteens, but for a family of four people - significantly, there is a service fee.

The place is surrounded by greenery, the views are fascinating, the location is wonderful.

Oriental coffee is pleasant, 80 rubles.

We were a family with two children. Delicious. Good manta rays and a lollipop. I liked the cheese sticks. The prices are reasonable, as everywhere in Gagra. Sea view. Outdoor terrace. Beach...I recommend.

Lyulya-they brought two terrible-looking crackers, without pita bread, without any additives (onions or greens, as everyone else does). Salad is not tasty, with limp cucumbers, not fresh. The price tag for such food and service is very high. The guy who doesn't speak Russian well is serving. At the entrance to the hall, there is a wall on the right, half in mold. A toilet with a door that is scary to take by the handle, dirty, painted about 15 years ago.
And most importantly! They got poisoned in this place, went away for a week, drank medicine.
I don't advise anyone.
There are many really decent, delicious, modern, clean places in Gagra and at the same price.
We didn't even go to drink tea with them, even though we lay on the beach next to them every day.

In August we had a rest in Gagra. On the first day we came across the cafe midel, the food here is very tasty and varied. We ate here all the time. The owner of the establishment monitors the staff and the situation in the hall, is always friendly. Live music is played in the evening. Many thanks to all the chefs for the delicious and soulfully cooked food. The waiters are all friendly, polite, good-natured boys. I would like to mention everyone, but still Aliyah and Sadirdin, who is also very responsible, fell in love with us. We don't know any other names, because it was these waiters who served us. It's nice to relax in your establishment so much that I didn't want to leave.. Thank you for your attention to the guests. We wish prosperity to your cafe and new grateful visitors

Today, on the last day of our vacation, we looked into the Middle and did not regret it)) It is very tasty and very homely. The food is not served in a restaurant, it is simple, but the taste and quality are fire. Probably, not all the dishes here can be good, because the menu is extremely diverse, but what we chose surprised us pleasantly. I try to try Lula everywhere, and he's incredible here. I cook it myself and I know a lot, as well as dolma, which was also ordered. The disadvantages are overcooked rice and a slightly sloppy package, but the taste is excellent and there is a lot of meat. And dolma is exactly like a homemade one. I don't usually eat much, I thought I couldn't handle dolma anymore, we'll take it with us, but I ate everything with pleasure) By the way, in the Rizza nearby, the lula is both more expensive and much less tasty, although the serving there is closer to the restaurant. There I eat 1 piece of two and that's it. My husband ate Tokyo salad and meat in Abkhazian, he also appreciated it, but the meat was a little too salty, but overall it was also very tasty. Special thanks for the child) The first place on our vacation where there is mashed potatoes with a cutlet on the menu (not in Kiev, but with ordinary meat). I ate everything in 10 minutes, only the fork sparkled, usually eats sooo long and with a fight. At prices, it's not very cheap, well, it's not off the scale. The price of different dishes in different establishments varies, so something is cheaper here, something may be more expensive. There is a decent toilet. It's a pity that the vacation is over, otherwise we would have come back)

We rested in the Middle of Gagra, visited a cafe a couple of times, liked everything, Fed even 15 minutes before closing, because we arrived late at the hotel.
Cafe on the beach, with a beautiful view. The service is no worse than anywhere else in Abkhazia. There were no poisonings) The music was always turned off at exactly 00-00 and not a minute later, silence fell in our building located on the beach)
When the bartender left in the evening, we were first refused to prepare cocktails, then the waiter called the bartender and prepared a good Mojito under his guidance)
The hostess of the cafe is there until closing, dancing with the guests))

The cuisine is Oriental and European. The menu is large, many items were missing. Delicious khachapur like khachapuri in Megrelian, the kebab was only chicken, made from chicken breast, dryish. Yesterday we had a rest with your family! I really liked it! The service and the kitchen are excellent!!! Everyone is friendly - both the DJ and the waiters. I finally found the most delicious khachapur boat in Abkhazia. The child was given mashed potatoes with a cutlet - perfect! The salad with beef and corn is delicious. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone. Thank you!

I was vacationing in the Midland recreation center, so I visited the cafe often. Both in the afternoon and in the evening. The waiters are friendly, the menu is varied - Caucasian, Asian, and Russian cuisine. The music is live every day, and a violinist came on Friday. I really liked it!

I gave 4 stars, not five for:
- The music is too loud, it's impossible to speak, sometimes even the waiters can't hear your order.
- The order is being carried for a very long time. We even waited for drinks for 30-40 minutes.
In general, if you are not in a hurry, then the place is worth visiting, it is delicious and the prices are quite reasonable

We had a vacation in Abkhazia in Gagra in July 2023 with children. We came to the cafe Midel on the recommendation of the hotel administrator....who said that the cafe is opposite the police department, whose employees eat there, therefore, from the point of view of sanitation, it is relatively safe. The menu is varied, the serving is fast. Only Abkhazian dishes are delicious. There are many dishes that are frozen. The pilaf was served with ice cubes, the apple strudel was thawed...he fell apart, lost his shape....they made a "boat" out of it. The service culture is "at an unattainable height." We watched the scene ...a large family came by car with Moscow plates to have lunch, made an order and did not like something...they asked to change it. The senior administrator came up and clarified the reason for the cancellation.... The waiters are "like birds..on the branch.". we were sitting listening ..... suddenly one jumps up and yells at the whole cafe in full voice that she will put this dish on the client's head...and in general, stop being * there, or else someone who doesn't like the food will be called by the cops . "They will drag him to the police station ... and let him go." It all happened in front of the children ... the customers paid off and left . Everyone's lunch was ruined. I do not recommend it.

During the rest, we visited this wonderful restaurant 2 times, on the first and last day of the vacation. I can safely say that the best Abkhazian meat and feijoa compote are here. My daughter really liked the cheese sticks. The attentive and fast service was also very pleasant. When I return to Abkhazia, I will definitely visit this institution again! I recommend it to everyone!

We are currently vacationing in Gagra. This institution is called a Teahouse (apparently renamed). We've been there twice and I think we'll go again. For the first time, we took a pizza with 4 cheeses and 2 servings of French fries. Lunch cost 800 rubles. Everything is very tasty. The cheese in the pizza is probably local: fatty, creamy.
We've already sat down thoroughly for the second time. We took Caesar salad - delicious, a lot. We've already had enough of them .... There are a lot of chickens, so it's very satisfying. The khinkali inside is spicy and delicious. My daughter took Philadelphia rolls - it's not good here, it's better to take something from the local or Euro cuisine. Rolls are not their topic.... The drinks are delicious: we tried Teetotaler colada and Mojito. The dinner cost about 2 t. p. The waiters are nimble, friendly. The sea views are stunning in the evening. Thanks! Let's come again!

We didn't wait for the meat sauce and tortilla, we ate it like that because we were very hungry. She didn't bring any drinks, we didn't wait, just ate the meat and left. They couldn't really calculate us either. Then 2700 rubles, then 600 rubles., she counted some chebureks for us, then French fries🤦♀️they counted them themselves and gave her the right amount. After reading the laudatory reviews, we went to this institution and were extremely disappointed.
There were 2 tables occupied in the cafe, counting us and served by one waiter-a boy of about 18 years old, who did not understand Russian well and did not know absolutely the composition of the dishes.. well, okay, let's say we came out of season (mid-May) and there are no normal waiters (although this is not a reason to put just anyone); the tables are dirty, everything is covered in crumbs, as if no one wipes after the guests at all, it is very unpleasant.
Further on the prices: well, I would not say that the dishes are 100-200 rubles, as in some photos in the reviews, it was probably in 2022; now (in 2023) the cost of dishes is just like for a normal restaurant - 300/400 for hot on average, salads are also 300/400.
We ordered pilaf for 300 rubles and manti for 300 rubles, as a result, the pilaf was dry, like the beef in it, and the manti seemed to be dried and small bones came across in the meat (it was scary to chew and swallow them quickly).
In addition to all this, you will be charged 10% for the service, whether you want it or not.

We had breakfast there once, expensive for me: 4 servings of pancakes with meat of 3 pieces, a kettle of tea, 3 compotes - 1770 rubles. A 10% fee is included, but there is no warning about it. The pancakes and compote were delicious, the appliances were directly grated, the tea was very weak - they did not wait until it was brewed somehow.

Kharcho had nothing in common with kharcho, the pasties were over-dried, with a thick crust of dough and clearly made from frozen semi-finished products. There was no juice at all. The pilaf was made of well-cooked rice, but with almost no spices. Dry, not greasy, thin slices of absolutely dry beef were placed on top. At the same time, prices for everything are higher than the average in the city.
