A beautiful mosque, like many mosques in Istanbul. I haven't been inside, so I can't say anything, there is a good square near the mosque.

Inside, some faces of saints and places from downed crosses have been miraculously preserved. It remains to be guessed how magnificent St. Sophia Cathedral looked in the bygone days…
It's not worth the money, no one is watching the mosque, it seems like such a legacy, and the authorities simply ignore the fact that restoration is required
A great place, the grandeur and size are amazing. If you don't want to stand in line, come in the evening around 17-18 - we came twice at this time and immediately got inside. Keep in mind that the current mosque is closed to tourists during prayer
One of the places in Istanbul to visit. I couldn't really evaluate it. But the people are just terrified. Not to approach, not to pass😂
Photos from nearby locations…
Admission is 25 euros per person. Queue. It is better to come in the morning (the ticket offices open at 09.00) or in the evening. I wanted the money from the tickets to go to the restoration.
The hand does not rise to write something about this Greatest monument of history. Just think about it, Sofia has been standing for more than 1000 years when St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome was built and opened!
April 2024. In the evening, you can enter without waiting in line and for free through the entrance for believers. From below, the scale is felt much more strongly - the dome is somewhere in the sky
A grandiose structure.
There's just nothing to compare it with.
There are long queues every day.
What spoils the impression a little is the numerous cables, probably hundreds of them, on which the lamps are suspended, it eats up the volume.
A ticket inside for tourists costs up to ten dollars. And there's really nothing to watch. No one is allowed down except the Turks. Perhaps if you are a Muslim and somehow you can prove it, then they will let you down.
A place of vitality, the most beloved place on Earth 🌍

The most beautiful place. It's breathtaking. It is incomprehensible to the mind how much effort and labor was invested in the construction and how wonderful it turned out to be 😍🤍

The facade is being restored from the entrance side. It doesn't stand out from the outside, but inside it's WoW. The entrance for two is about 1960lir (for 20 minutes it is expensive), but there is no regret.
