As a historical building, to see the architecture and please the eye, it is definitely a must-visit place
In terms of the products presented, it is very doubtful, the prices are higher than other stores and the assortment is not modern
GUM, in general, is a good store, there are a lot of goods and it is quite quite good, and even in clothes you can find something to buy.... And the building is simply cosmic, especially the entrance doors!!!
BUT, I have always been surprised by the advertising of discounts: today there is a 35% discount on all non-food products over 5 rubles. OK, that's good, everyone goes for a 35% discount, but at the checkout it turns out that more than half of the assortment already has its own discount of 20-25% maximum.... And only on the website you can find a list of SUPPLIERS!!! Personally, as a buyer, it is not very convenient for me to read each label and check with the list on whom I have what discount... And everything is hanging in a pile, only some recognizable manufacturers can be easily identified ...
So it turns out that you go for one percent discount, but you get absolutely another ...
BUT there are also PROS: there are positions in each department, they are separately and noticeably highlighted, for which the discount can reach up to 50%, although, taking into account the space allowances, it is not much cheaper than in a store near the house... But, nevertheless, this is psychology: a little cheaper, it's already very pleasant)))
A very nice place. There is something to see, something to buy. There is a cafe where you can have a snack. Clean, light, comfortable. I recommend you to visit.
I visited with pleasure, bought a pair of leather belts for my husband and son. As a shopping center is not interesting, to be honest, it cannot be compared with Russian ones, but as an architectural object it is very cool. We went to Belarus not for clothes, but to see the country and culture, we liked it.
A superstore!!! A huge selection of things for children, women and men. A large selection of cosmetics, both Belarusian and imported. Various souvenirs. A wide range of household goods: clothes, bed linen, etc. All consultants are well-versed in the product, polite and attentive. The prices are affordable. I recommend this store to everyone!!!
The department store itself is a monument-monument of the Soviet period. Huge staircases, spacious halls. Sellers who are ready to help, a wide range, frequent discounts. Everything is fine. The only thing that upset me was the updated buffet. New tables and chairs are good, but bring back the range of cafes. Why offer faceless fast food at such prices? The sadness is that in the pursuit of profit, they did not think about the desires of customers.
I came on the advice of the commercial director of a company that produces stylish Belarusian things to buy a dress for the anniversary, which are on display in Gum. As a result, the women's clothing section did not know about the collection, after a while I found them myself. The sellers and the head of the section had no desire to sell and offer at all. As well as buying from me in principle. No one even participated, although she asked for help in choosing, and more than once. I won't go for clothes, it's easier to order on the WB, the service is still the same... I haven't been in other sections, maybe the situation is better there.
A LIVING HISTORY. A RECENT ONE. An architectural landmark - both in appearance and interior - and an interesting (at least to a Russian) store. On three large, high-ceilinged floors, there are a lot of curious, and even useful goods, including Belarusian ones. But you can also just walk around the halls, admiring the internal imperial layout of the Stalin era. (After all, they once knew how to build shops! Not like the current rectangular cheapies made of glass and plastic). And if anyone gets hungry, there is a snack bar on the 2nd floor, on the left side (if you stand facing the store) and a dining room on the 4th on the right (see the review)
The deli on the ground floor is unique! The advertisement is super, right from the avenue, the banner on the 1st floor, in the photo of the advertisement, the assortment is larger than there is, the room is 5 * 5 meters. We just wondered how much money was spent on advertising and the final exhaust
Clothing prices are through the roof😱 What salaries are there to dress for? In the women's underwear department, a wonderful sales consultant, G.V. Romanova, helped to choose the right size, offered many options. Thanks to her, I bought three sets of underwear. I wish there were more such sellers
Of course, this is not a GUM in Moscow, but it is a department store where you can buy everything from cosmetics and dishes on the ground floor to furs and diamonds on the floors above. Our beautiful girls can look for outfits from Belarusian brands, and if they haven't found them, go to the fabric department and buy a cut for a dress, and buttons and a zipper for it.... Our strong half may or may not be interested in the products in the men's department. You can definitely buy socks there! Also on the ground floor there are some taps, plumbing, everything for the garden, etc. In general, you can find everything there. He often makes discounts.
There are many domestic products at a low price. But we need to look for it. The staff will always tell you and show you. Discounts and promotions every day. I recommend.
I remember this store from childhood, of course it's not a Scoop anymore, but....
But all the things are of high quality, as for clothes, I plan to come get dressed))
A very beautiful and unusual place, as if you got into the 90s, on the 3rd floor there is a dining room where you can eat very tasty and the prices are normal!!!

Beautiful architecture. We plunged into the post-Soviet past. The prices are average, the assortment is varied: from towels to mink fur coats. I would like to make repairs inside and a specification for the product. As it is, everything is in a pile.
Very pleasant and professional sellers work in the fabric department. They cut off the necessary material as quickly as possible. I have never seen such efficiency in other state-owned stores.
Prices in the store bite, many things can be bought cheaper elsewhere.
The classics of the Soviet store. There are a lot of Belarusian goods, prices are like in any supermarket, there are days of discounts and this is a plus. At the first stage, there is a "relish" where it is profitable to buy dried fruits and nuts
A good shopping mall. Yes, the prices are not small, but if you need to buy a carpet, it will do. The consultants will come in 1-2 minutes after the call
The building has an interesting architecture, everything looks impressive and is kept on a level. From the point of view of trade organization, it resembles a crowd of 90. Every meter of the square is filled with some kind of goods. The selection of Belarusian goods (clothes, dishes, linen) is quite large, the prices are average, closer to high. In general, I liked the building more than the assortment and the organization of trade.
The assortment is very monotonous if you are looking for clothes or cosmetics. Individual shops are more interesting in Minsk. The assortment of GUM and TSUM is almost the same, so it doesn't make sense to visit both.
A beautiful store with a large selection of domestic and imported products. You can choose gifts for yourself and friends. Of course, there are foreigners who come here for souvenirs.
GUM is beautiful, like the whole of Belarus. In St. Petersburg, you won't find such a store from your youth anymore. I bought wonderful lingerie, a cozy linen towel, and charming Belarusian ceramics in it. Lovely and friendly staff. The interior is magnificent.
A large Soviet industrial goods store. This is history and nostalgia. The dining room is upstairs. There's a deli downstairs. On the first one, you can buy Belarusian cosmetics
GUM is the first largest department store in Minsk. It opened its doors to customers and guests for the first time on November 5, 1951.
The department store is located in the very center of the capital, at the intersection of the main highway — ave. Independence and Lenin Street.
GUM is a monument of architecture and urban planning of the XX century, one of the most important tourist sites of the city For many decades, it has remained a favorite place of Minsk residents and guests of the capital. Here you can not only make purchases, but also immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a Soviet department store with wide stairs, unusual stained glass windows and luxurious columns!
The building is certainly impressive! The same cannot be said about the content.. Unfortunately, it's a disappointment..
You can come in once, but there is no smoking.!!
I was here today. It's the same as it was many years ago.
A large assortment, a large size range. I bought myself a swimsuit, and my son a pair of swimming trunks. At prices all in the same range +-10p. Things for a boy to go to school, of course, I just looked at the prices, everything has grown 2 times. The jumper for the boy was 34p last year, now 68p. (It's a pity that the salary is not growing as well)
This store is not for us.
The city center , a large beautiful antique store .
A huge range of different product groups .
I bought Belarusian cosmetics . I liked everything very much! The prices are very adequate. Polite staff .
A wide selection of various goods of good quality, polite and attentive sellers and consultants, a good discount system. The location of the department store allows you not only to make pleasant purchases, but also to walk along the main avenue, admire the beauty of our city
Since childhood, I have loved this store, its gorgeous staircase, and polite sellers. There is no fuss (or maybe I was at such a time), it is spacious, a good range of goods, there is an opportunity to choose and there is no obsession and a feeling that you can be deceived.
A lot of different and high-quality goods! The staff is responsive, nice to chat with! Plus, a dining room has opened on the top floor, the food is satisfying for a reasonable fee! Everything is great! Thanks!
After the renovation, it's nice to come to the store. There is everything you need. The days of discounts are especially pleasing, because our products and clothes of a domestic manufacturer are not affordable to buy and do not correspond to the salaries of the population.
As a person born in Brest, who lives in Russia by the will of fate and spent almost my entire childhood (summer, holidays) in Minsk, Brest. I found the time of the Soviet Union, the CIS. It's nice to visit places like this. Nostalgia, probably. In January 2024, when visiting, I chose something for myself.
The ground floor has become more lively thanks to the cafe. We went up to the 3rd floor, women's clothing at crazy prices. It is inaccessible to ordinary Belarusians. 300 rubles for a summer light skirt is simply absurd. On the fourth floor there is a Soviet canteen
If you want to plunge into the atmosphere of the central shops of the USSR, you are here. Everything has been preserved to the smallest detail. The halls are packed to capacity with goods. There is not a single ottoman or bench to sit down (I understand that they do not go to the shops for this) but at a certain age I would sometimes like to have a little rest. Some kind of canteen on the ground floor, where you can relax a little, but there are a lot of sufferers.
The goods may be good, but it is very problematic to look at them
The store corresponds to the title "nostalgia for the Soviet past". Very unfriendly staff on the third floor, in textiles. They answer through gritted teeth, with irritation, reluctantly. We are visiting the city, this is one of the iconic places, I would like more cordiality and goodwill, at least on the faces. Or are Minsk sellers so harsh?
