A good market. They were in August 2024.There is everything you need, vegetables, fruits, sweets, pickles, various cheeses, smoked trout, etc. At the very beginning of the market, prices are more expensive, at the end they are cheaper, there, a nice woman, sells various delicious liqueurs, like everything, you can try. At the beginning of the market, on the left, they bake very tasty pita bread. We lived in Athos, we often went to the market, we liked everything. We visited the markets in Sukhum and Gudauta, there is more clothing in Sukhum, delicious adjika in Gudauta, cheaper fruits at the entrance, at the arch. Generally it's good everywhere))
This is a grocery market and it is located on the outskirts of New Athens. In fact, it is the only market in this city. There are all the necessary products, of course a lot of vegetables and fruits, the prices are reasonable. In addition, there are shops with household goods, flowers and children's toys near the market. At each point, you can make a transfer by phone number. Of course there are no terminals, as well as ATMs in the vicinity.
The wound itself is not very large, but you can buy almost all of the Germerian and homemade products, you want to pay special attention to the dining room at the market, they are very tasty, even better than in cafes on the embankments.
A good selection of products, fruits, souvenirs. Friendly sellers, the possibility of bargaining, the freshness of products, the Abkhazian flavor of communication, you leave the market with a feeling of complete satisfaction.
A small, small market. Most of the products are there, if you only look for products. Even a good outdoor veranda with cheburechnaya, where you can eat homemade cuisine.
A small market. There is everything you need. For two years in a row, we rested in New Athos, took our own cheese from the same very pleasant woman. You can pay for almost all sellers via SBP or Sber online
There is an inconspicuous dining room inside the market, but the food there is notable. What kind of borscht, what kind of boats. It is very tasty and the price is adequate.
Meat is a problem, at one point in the beginning smoked meat is only sold, there are no local sausages, smoked trout from fish. There are plenty of local fruits. I took tangerines on October 26 in the middle of the market from my grandfather, who is hard of hearing. They are very tasty and cheaper than the others, 50 each, I took a whole box.
There is almost everything you need, but it is very expensive... although it is not cheaper in Sukhum this year

We were in September 2024 .
All products are imported, even tomatoes are imported in season. The price is very expensive in the season of 250₽/kg for basic vegetables and fruits .
The dining room on the market is of dubious quality....
Sellers are good-natured housewives, and that they can only trade what they bring..,
A good market. Fruits and vegetables. Everything can be bought except meat. Everything in Abkhazia is deplorable with the freshest meat. We went to Sukhum.
The market is not big, but you can buy the right products. Everything is there, but I would also like fish. We bought good private milk from my grandfather. Fruits, berries are plentiful and sweet, not what we have in stores. Vegetables in the assortment. The prices are average. What they didn't buy, there are a lot of small shops at the exit, they can get bread there, for example, a pastry.
July-August 22
, prices compared to ours in Volgograd for vegetables and fruits are 2-2.5 times higher, the quality of the product is average. meat...and very expensive
mutton 750-850r, kg, chemical pork, partially defrosted 350-450 is a type of carbonate. There is no fresh local fish and seafood at all. smoked trout 250-350 per piece -300-350gr, smoked lamb 850r/kg
In Athos, prices rose in 20-21
There is a Pyaterochka hypermarket (not Russian) before entering Gudauta or already in Sukhum, there are adequate prices for goods. The market is closed during the off-season. During the season, delicious bread is baked right in front of the market.
Nice place. A small soulful market with a local flavor. Reasonable prices, friendly sellers. Vacationers are very fond of this market for its convenient location and a fairly extensive range of products. Not far from the New Athos railway station.
A real bazaar, tsigane churchkhela lavrushka cigarettes spices... with meat, the choice is not great, the variety is on certain days, no one knows when. Good chebureks on the 2nd floor, they are inexpensive! coffee "on the sand". All the necessary shops, clothes, household goods, construction goods are around. It's convenient, everything is nearby. Parking around is paid, 50p, but for this money the parking attendants are polite and try to help you get in / out, given the saturation of the streets with people and cars. It is possible to save money and pack for 2-3 days nearby for free, but it is easier to walk 30 meters ... but it is easier to leave. I liked it, there is a special feeling of nostalgia from the Soviet era.
The market is small, but cozy and authentic. You can buy homemade cheese, wine, hot pita bread, churchkhela, fruits, vegetables and spices. There are small shops around the market, where everything is sold that was not found on the market.
The photo shows the entrance to the market
Be careful - a lot of products imported from Turkey are issued as local, for example tomatoes, peaches. Hazelnuts of the new crop are 80% mixed with rot.
The market is very, very small, in a minute you can go around everything from all corners, sellers are shouting, come to me, come to me, it is impossible to stay for a long time and there is absolutely nothing to do there, everything is expensive.
There are a lot of saleswomen, almost all of them have the same thing. Wine, homemade chacha, churchkhela, dried persimmon, a lot of fruits and berries (bought Victoria for 250 rubles per kg, in June), dairy products, smoked trout- 1 piece 200 rubles, very tasty, next to hot pita bread-40 rubles, a lot of spices and tea. Next to the store with factory wine, the wines that we are used to seeing in the Tape for 450 rubles are Lykhny, Apsny there cost 220 rubles, the price of vodka is 200 rubles. I bought a Pasha du 450 rubles wine, I really liked it, the wine is not for export to Russia, from a small winery.
The market is good, there are many shops along the street.
I can't say that the market is rich in variety. As everywhere fruits, vegetables, spices, food. There is a wine shop, a good assortment of wine and cognac. I've tried cognac, it's very tasty. I brought the wine to NG.
Local mini market. It stands on the Sukhumi highway. Fruits and vegetables, of course, chacha. There are good convenience stores nearby. During the season, you can negotiate with merchants and buy lots of tangerines, persimmons, and feijoa.
A small market. The assortment is usual for Abkhazia - wine, chacha, cognac, fruits, all sorts of souvenirs. I thought it would be something cheaper than on Tsarskaya Alley - not really. You can bargain. You can walk for a walk.
The market is a strong word. Several tents, or rather no more than 10. Various souvenirs, sweets, spices. Literally 50 meters away there is also an indoor pavilion with souvenirs - there are about 30 shops there.
