The beauty of an excursion here may be that there is a guide who will tell you about each Buddha figure - why it is like this, what it means and where it is located.
We, in turn, arrived by taxi and had a pretty good look at what was happening on our own.
There is a long staircase leading to the Big Buddha, which should not frighten - despite the number of steps in it - it is easy to climb it, because the steps are very tiny.
Upstairs there is a wonderful observation deck on Pattaya, as well as "entertainment" for visitors based on various traditions and rituals. Somewhere, you can release a pigeon from its cage to "do a good deed and purify karma." The pigeon, of course, will return to its place in 15 minutes, but the good deed will be done. Somewhere, throw a coin into the navel of one of the statues - if you hit it, good luck and financial well-being will follow. Make an offering somewhere: put a candle in the shape of a flower on the water, put incense, write your wish on a piece of paper, and so on. You can watch other tourists to take a look - and what else can you do here?
In general, it's an interesting place to visit. The time required is 40 minutes, no more.
Just below the Buddha there is a small - let's call it - park, which looks more like an abandoned one - because there were absolutely no people there, everything was overgrown. It describes what happened here many years ago, how this place appeared, and who was involved. There are also monuments to Confucius and Lao Tzu. You can also take a walk and study using Google and a photo translator.
It is a very pleasant place, where peace, harmony and tranquility reign.
There is a beautiful staircase leading to the Buddha, but it is small, and it is not difficult to overcome it.
There is a magnificent view of the whole city from above.
If you live in Pattaya, you can get to these locations yourself by tuktuk, taxi or on foot. You should not take a guided tour. When leaving the complex, there is another location, the temple of the Buddha mother, usually guides do not take tourists here. And also on the other side of the big Buddha there is an observation deck for the whole city. And also around the big Buddha and the observation deck there are sports grounds and safe roads for those who are engaged in running or cycling.
