Positive:
1. Very close to the airport.
2. The best island if you are a diver.
3. Any choice of rooms, from super cheap and clueless, to very comfortable and quite expensive.
4. One of the best reefs in the Maldives.
5. Very "homely" staff. It is very comfortable everywhere and with everyone.
6. Relatively cheap and of high quality.
7. Ideal if you are with children.
Minuses:
1. There may be problems with the transfer to the island from the airport, you will have to wait standing for up to 60 minutes.
2. It's definitely not about pathos, everything is quite modest.
3. Almost nothing from entertainment. A rather mediocre program in the evening.
4. The kitchen is not a fountain, but there is no reason to complain.
The optimal price-quality ratio. I highly recommend it if you are in favor of sand, snorkeling, diving and the sun in the Maldives.

A very warm, cozy hotel. We returned there for the second time this year and left with the desire to return again. Modest but very tasty food, the cleanest ocean, a lot of secluded areas on the beach where you feel like on a desert island. An ideal place to relax with a child, chase geckos (unsuccessfully), look at flying dogs, chase crabs on the beach in the evening with a flashlight...splash around in the purest water. A heavenly place!

We were a family with 2 children in the summer of 2022. The island is small, there is a lot of greenery, it's fast to get there! Good entertainment programs in the evenings, a gorgeous reef! We have something to compare it with! Of the disadvantages, the rooms are old, there are breakwaters that spoil the picture very much! Although they are carefully retouched on the hotel's website! We lived in a Deluxe apartment. The beach in front of him is terrible with sandbags. We swam and sunbathed in front of the standards. There's a gorgeous beach and a bar nearby))
Well, the fattest minus of this hotel is the food ((( they took everything inclusive. There is simply nothing for children or adults to eat! There were no eggs or pancakes for breakfast. The children ate pasta 3 times a day! We approached the manager and made a remark, the next day at least the eggs appeared!! There was meat in the evenings, everyone ran joyfully to grab a piece, but it was either hard as a sole, or the pepper was terrible!
I want to put a three, but my hand does not rise just because of the reef!)

The rooms are quite comfortable, with air conditioning and a TV. the food is wonderful, there are a lot of varied and very tasty food, desserts, rare tropical fruits. The staff is kind. They are cleaned every day and efficiently. The beaches are also very good. The hotel organizes various celebrations and prepares decorations and dishes in honor of them. It is located close to Male, so you are taken by boat for a very short time.

We stayed on the island at the Bandos Hotel. I liked everything. The staff is friendly and friendly. They always go to a meeting and help with solving issues. The food in the central restaurant is delicious. You can always eat at other restaurants of the hotel. The room stock is being updated. They built a bungalow on the water. We had a vacation with my wife at the end of February. We liked everything. The price-performance ratio is good and it's only 13 minutes by boat from the airport. The number of Russian tourists on this island clearly exceeds 50%.
The Gallery restaurant is closed for renovation, which is why the slightly smaller Breeze restaurant is open. If you get into rush hour, it becomes difficult to find a free table, while the staff speaks only English (1 person at the reception, 1 at the dive, 1 at the coco club speak Russian). The battle under the shade of trees/palm trees for sun beds is the same as in Turkey. Whoever got up early and took a sunbed is in the best place. Even at 6 a.m. local time, people are already going to take sun beds in the best places (as an elderly couple of foreigners did when I was there). If you come later, you have to look for sun beds and a place to lie down under the shade. It's low tide in the morning (waist-high water level), and high tide in the evening (head-high water level).
Rooms are cleaned 2 times a day. At first, it seems to be with a smile, but then this smile disappears over time. Apparently, they wait for tips every time, and if they don't get them, the joy on their faces disappears quickly at the next cleaning. They may also forget to replenish the mini-bar (apparently due to the same tip).
With an All-inclusive meal, many of the drinks on the menu are free (those with two stars). At the respawn, upon check-in, they immediately give you a sheet explaining what is included in the All-Inclusive program.

Our room was a beach bungalow, worn out, but clean. The bed was sooo uncomfortable(the 2 bedroom was made up of two single beds) .
There are no complaints about room cleaning at all, the guys are well done, clean , cleaned every day, bed linen was changed every 3 days. Towels were changed every day.

A wonderful island with snow-white sand and lush vegetation. There is a place to walk).
You can snorkel already 50 meters from the island. The rich underwater world will delight you with a variety of corals and fish.
There are a lot of excursions, night fishing, diving.
In the evenings, musicians in the bar perform hits dating back to the 80s. It's very atmospheric.
We were immediately upgraded because there were no available rooms in our category. We managed to enjoy a two-storey villa with a Jacuzzi!

The best hotel in this price category. Real rest and relaxation. One of the advantages is near the airport - 15 minutes to the airport by boat!
Everyone is very friendly! The food is good. There is enough of everything. We took a superior high, that there is an open-air shower.
For children under 6-7 years old, there is a room with a nanny, there are two of them, and one speaks Russian. The child was often left for a couple of hours, he was satisfied. (the only negative is the work of Kondei. - they have a regulation of 24 degrees - it's a little cold for the nursery))

A gorgeous resort! Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, clean beautiful beaches with perfect sand. The resort staff takes great care of cleanliness, daily cleaning of rooms, paths, beaches. A good, but not always varied buffet.
There is an entertainment program every evening.
There are a lot of landscapes for beautiful photo shoots.
The only drawback is that everything is very expensive here.

We visited the Bandos Hotel in mid-February and were very satisfied!
First of all, I would like to mention the hospitality, friendliness and responsiveness of the staff. The staff really try to create ideal conditions for recreation, promptly help with any issues. If possible, they try to accommodate guests immediately upon arrival and provide the most comfortable room.
They take a responsible approach to reporting information, all important points (check-out plan, immigration information) are reported in advance through What's up.
Secondly, we were pleased with the varied food within the Swedish line. We didn't regret taking half board. Lunch and dinner can be easily exchanged. Breakfast includes omelets, muesli, porridge, tuna, a variety of pastries and very tasty fruits. For dinner there is always meat and fish (usually tuna), pasta, several dishes of Indian cuisine, two types of soups, vegetables, fruits and a wide selection of desserts.
However, there is almost no seafood. The maximum is a salad with squid..
Despite the early departure from the hotel (at 6:30 in the morning, the flight was at 9:15), we were served a breakfast of fruits and buns. By the way, with a sunrise view :)
The only thing that disappointed was the Japanese restaurant Umi Yaki. He's not worth his money at all, the whole dinner turns into a show, and not all the dishes turn out delicious either.
Liter bottles of water are placed in the room daily. Water is also provided for breakfast/dinner.
Every evening from 20:30 to ~23:00 the hotel has some kind of entertainment program.
Overall, Bandos gives the impression of a family-run hotel. There are many families with children of different ages.
The island turned out to be quite large. There is a place to walk, play tennis and admire the stars. In your free time, you can play table football (included in the price), ping pong or billiards, work out in the gym.

Not exactly the Maldives you want to see. But the territory is cozy, green. I didn't like the ocean, it was dirty. The rooms are good, the food is tolerable. The service for 4. Rooms was not extended to the group of the promotional tour, although all hotels according to the program always met halfway. Lunch was also said not to be included. Why you chose BANDOS MALDIVES:
1. The hotel with a history is one of the oldest and most famous hotels. There were acquaintances here. Somewhere I came across a description on the Internet.
2. The size of the island – not big, but not small – is just what it would be possible to walk on solid ground surrounded by palm trees and tropical greenery, look at flying foxes and other wildlife in their natural environment.
3. Proximity to the airport – I didn't want to travel for an hour even after an almost 9-hour flight. Anyway – not this (first) time.
4. Price. Well,... there's a separate question here. "Cheap" is a word that simply does not apply to the Maldives. That is why the Maldives appeared on the list of possible vacations only after the funds available for this appeared. Thanks for the details to the tour operator – no explosives for the island. ONLY All Inclusive. And although I occasionally saw vacationers without the cherished blue bracelets, it looked more like an exception to the rule. At least – it will be boring without cocktails. And according to the price tag, which is not for AL, it's generally sad. "A miser pays twice" is the most mildly appropriate in this case.
Beach. 20 steps out of the room – and you are in a personal paradise. Viz fo was in a hurry. A few chaise lounges, and – no one. Just you and the ocean. Words to describe it - do not pick up – see the photo. If, however, someone has already come to the nearest beach before you = a dozen steps further along the coast in any direction, and here is an almost similar alternative. And besides hammocks, swings.
About the ocean: BE SURE to bring masks/tubes with you. The hotel has a rental of these attributes of knowledge of the underwater world, but this pleasure will cost from $ 8+ per day. Trying to buy a mask at a local store will surprise you with amazing numbers (from $ 40). And without the fact that it would not look under the water being on BANDOS – it's just blasphemy. The reef, however, is not the first freshness. But fish, shoals of fish flocks, nemo in anemones, baby sharks – well, how about it?! NOTHING ) And I also advise you to take an action camera. It doesn't take up much space, and underwater filming of Nemo in an anemone, or a passing shark is a separate spoonful of honey. I saw a lionfish – I did not check "whether it is the most poisonous fish in the ocean". There was enough adrenaline from the sharks suddenly popping up a couple of meters away. As already mentioned by everyone – at 18:00 local time, stingrays and sharks are fed at the bar next to the Reception (which is a Cea Bar). The stingrays rule there – there are stingray fights. It's fun. Everyone go and watch. However, at the same time on the other side of the island, the sun goes down, so the decision is yours – a fish fight, or a bloody ball in the clouds sitting in a sea bar.
Nature. In addition to purely oceanic floating-running reptiles, there is also a purely island fauna. Firstly, there are hundreds of lizards. You stop being surprised and chasing them by the middle of the second day. They're everywhere. They pop out like devils from a snuffbox right out from under your feet. The second most important is flying foxes.Another of the fauna is the Grey Heron. You can meet very often. He won't let you get too close, but he's not really afraid of people either. Don't try to "feed" her - she's not interested. Ptah is very beautiful. There are several other different species of birds that make those heart-rending jungle sounds. But they usually sit in the thick of the trees. Oh, yes! An important point from the flora: coconuts are FALLING. And they are wider in size than a football, and sometimes they weigh more than a brick. And they make their flight without any warning. So, taking pictures at the palm tree, you should not shake it too much. One such projectile somehow fell completely on the "hello" next to the number, causing another adrenaline rush.
Meal. Especially without fiction: there is no abundance of Turkish peddlers here. But no one will remain hungry either. Of course – no pork-containing dishes. In the morning – an omelet, croissants, eggs are also fried + very edible sausages and bacon. At lunch – soups, necessarily fish in different versions, and sometimes the fact that it is a FISH you understand only after reading the label – it looks like a full-fledged piece of beef! Soups are usually of two types: some kind of cream soup, and some kind of thinner - different every day (my wife really liked, for example, broccoli cream, but the repeat happened only a few days later). Always pasta and rice, in pure form and in sauces. The pies are tiny – very good, there was ice cream a couple of times. Sometimes you can overeat.
Other entertainment. The All package includes 2 hours of kayaking every day. Everything else is any whim for your money: day/ night diving, fishing 25 hours a day 8 days a week. Dinner at sunset with lights. From the free: every evening at the Reception bar there is a live performance of local performers of past hits. Sometimes it's pretty good. Exclusively English-language repertoire. It also happens that a karaoke microphone is issued to everyone, so you should not be surprised when suddenly the expanses resound with the roar of "Kish"a.
Summarizing all of the above in the "TOTAL" section:

I absolutely do not share the general enthusiasm of Russian tourists about this hotel. One of the advantages is the proximity to Male. And that's it.
Those who have already been to the "normal" Maldives, and not to the locales, will definitely not like this island. Where the best villas (those in which you can live, let's say) are views of Male. There are 25% fewer sunbeds on the island than there are guests. Personally observed almost hand-to-hand combat at 7 (SEVEN!) morning for a sunbed.
Russian-speaking employees communicate through their teeth. A restaurant of the "dining room with chairs" level.
We stayed on the island for 1 day (because of the elections in the Maldives, our transfer was postponed, and in order not to be stuck in Male, we sailed to Bandos). And with delight, they skipped away from there to our beloved island.
Hookahs, discos - all the attributes of Turkey are available.
The main horror is the Garden Villa rooms. There is not just no noise insulation, you can hear every rustle from the neighbors there. And the beds creak wildly. Yes, the neighbors too. They toss and turn at night - you wake up with a 200% guarantee.
There is no privacy on the island - there are paths past all the villas, it will not work to lie down and sunbathe in the bushes, as usual in the Maldives.
Well, the bonuses are too soft water in the shower. I removed the washbasin from my face with an alcohol napkin. Because otherwise it could not be washed off even in 10 minutes - it soaps and soaps.
In short, a complete failure.

December 2022. I liked the hotel. A skeleton with lush vegetation, beauty! Beaches with white soft sand, sunsets and sunrises are fantastic! The hotel staff is friendly, sociable and try to remember your preferences in order to fulfill everything in the best possible way! Restaurants and bars for a good 4. Entertainment program for every day. Electric cars on demand. About the rooms: renovation is needed. There are no water villas on the island, they are being built. The island is a 15-minute boat ride from Male. I miss the sand and the warm sailor. By the way, for fans of long swims, the depth of the water on the beach is just above the waist, and then the corals, and after overcoming them, the depth only begins.

We are here now. An island and a 6-plus hotel! We are thrilled! Everything is very wonderful. The food is magical, very tasty, there are a lot of fruits, delicious papaya, delicious ice cream! The room cleaning is great! The towels and linen are snow-white! The beach around the island is excellent, there is a place to swim with a child, there are lagoons with breakwaters. The weather is wonderful. The staff is very forgetful. There are places to walk and see on the island itself. I recommend and do everything to get here!!!!!

The island:
⁃ The island is not big, but not to say that it is just small - in 25-30 minutes you can probably go around in a circle without hurrying. The island is very green, clean, we went everywhere barefoot.
⁃ There is a reef where there are a lot of interesting animals (including sharks) and you can take a dive. They even brought tourists to us, as if on an excursion.
⁃ The location of the room is of great importance. Ours had the best beaches, there are no breakwaters and urban landscape (unlike other villas), close to the bar, to the main restaurant 5 minutes walk. Sun loungers on the beach can always be found free.
On the territory there is a shop with souvenirs and all sorts of necessities: masks with tubes, tanning products, shampoos, shaving foam, etc., but expensive.
⁃ There is a swimming pool with a bar
⁃ There is an unreasonably expensive spa
Rooms:
The room is old, but clean and with a convenient location, so we were satisfied with everything.
⁃ Cleaned, changed towels and replenished the mini-bar (2 cans of beer, 2 cokes, 2 juices, 2 mineral water, 2 mars, 1 peanut) every day. Even changed the bed, but did not keep track of how many times. It is very convenient that they clean up while we are at breakfast.
Food and alcohol:
⁃ The food is good, there is a lot of local specific cuisine. There is always meat (chicken, beef, less often lamb), tuna, desserts, vegetables and fruits (papaya, watermelon, passion fruit, melon, oranges, pomegranates, grapefruits, apples, but not all at once). Seafood was a couple of times squid with shrimp in a cauldron on fire, salad with shrimp and octopus, seafood soups more often. A couple of times there were beef steaks. There are afternoon snacks: sandwiches with French fries.
⁃ For about $ 65 per person, you can go to a barbecue dinner on the beach - steaks, mussels, grilled shrimp, sushi, rolls, etc. Everything is very tasty, especially grilled lamb.
⁃ The choice of alcohol in ai is small, but the cocktails are delicious. Beer is normal. There is pure strong alcohol (rum, etc.), but not in all bars. Used drinks and cocktails are also included. Without ai, alcohol and used drinks are expensive.
Entertainments:
⁃ From entertainment, ai also includes free 2 hours a day of surf, kayak. You can go to the gym, play ping-pong and something else.
We went to the reef for a fee to swim with turtles ($121 per person + rent masks, tubes and fins, which by the way it's better to take with you, because only fins cost us $ 10 a pair for a day). In February-March, you can swim with manta rays for the same money. Also for a fee there is evening fishing, a tour of Male, but we did not go.
⁃ In the evening, stingrays and sharks are fed every day.
⁃ There is no animation for children, in the evenings there is live music or a DJ in a separate bar.
In general, the service is good, the staff is pleasant, polite and very friendly. Everyone speaks English, there is a Russian-speaking manager at the reception. A big plus is a quick transfer from the airport, 20 minutes by speedboat.
After reading the reviews here, we were a little scared, but we never met an ant, a cockroach, or any other living creatures in the room.
Oh, I almost forgot! Girls, be sure to buy a swimsuit with sleeves for snorkeling, because no means can withstand 15 minutes of swimming. There are stylish and bright ones on the WB. Well, I also recommend a mask for snorkeling.

We rested here at the end of July.To say that it was magical is to say nothing!!!It's an amazing place, it's the best place on Earth!!!It is impossible to describe the beauty of the island:palm trees, mangroves, turquoise ocean, mighty strange trees 10 meters in diameter, braided with roots and threads.The animal world:lizards, crabs, flying foxes, herons,dolphins,reef sharks, colorful fish and manta rays.A wonderful room, with a beautiful four-poster bed, delicious food, wine and fruits!!!The ocean water is warm at 35 degrees, snow-white sand that does not heat up in the sun, a wonderful pool and very few vacationers!!The island is 800×600m, but everything is done so perfectly that sometimes it seems that it is uninhabited, everyone finds their niche in this paradise and enjoys their vacation!!!

The hotel is pretty good, but if you are waiting for an amazing coral reef, then it is better to look for another hotel-the coral reef died here, and obviously a long time ago. Our room was not renovated, but it was quite modern, 50 m away there was a beach and an ocean! There is a feeding of stingrays at the hotel at 19.00-I really liked it the first time, I even saw them fighting for food🙈 There is not much variety in the food, but the food itself is delicious, more aimed at tourists from India.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.There have been 9 standard rooms since June 23rd.Clean, towels are changed every day.The staff is very responsive, they do everything to make guests feel comfortable.They don't bother you.Everyone is kind.There are always enough sun beds on the beach.There is always an ox in the room and large bottles in the right amount.The transfer is clear, everything is on time.The food is delicious.You can always choose something not spicy.Special thanks to the chef for the cream soups and desserts!!Very tasty!There is a master of artistic pancake pastry at breakfast)).He makes fish and manta rays.Very nice).We had a great rest.Only positive emotions.Many thanks to everyone who makes your stay comfortable.If the cost were lower, it would be great!

My husband and I are currently in Bandos on September 26, 2022, and we Really Like it! We live in standard 213 opposite the room, excellent access to the sea, wonderful, warm sea.they just didn't know that the winds were blowing from this side of the island at this time of the year, they would have known in advance if they had settled in another room.Cleaning : they clean well,everything is replenished,soap,gels,tea,coffee...4 liters of water for both of us, that's enough for us.Nutrition: excellent, everyone will find what they want, and there is no need to write. ,Fi, this is not Turkey,,, and this is not Turkey, this is the Most Beautiful Maldives with a unique Bandos!There are a lot of different fish, we have seen sharks, rays and a turtle, we are delighted, maybe someone is more sophisticated than that?the weather pleases us, it rained once for 5 minutes and that's it, sunshine, swim, sunbathe!here's about sunbathing, be sure to have a cream, be sure to have a shirt when in the ocean in a mask, burn instantly.The most important thing is that Mishrot will help in any situation, both in word and deed, and just a wonderful person, Thank you Mishrot!the review is not custom-made, we just like everything, we rest and do not pull out the flaws, come to Bandos and you will be happy!It's a pity to leave soon..

It is necessary to go for a great vacation and do not even doubt it! We had a sudden vacation in June 2022, a family with two children 8 years old and 1 year old. The hotel was booked directly (it's cheaper this way and no prepayment is needed). The room was a deluxe villa on the beach (very close to the restaurant and lagoon). The room is perfectly located relative to restaurants, which is important for vacationers with babies in strollers. The ongoing renovation of other rooms and the coastline is invisible, not audible, dirt, noise, etc.-nothing has been noticed for almost two weeks of rest. The hotel is located a short drive from the airport by speedboat. Friendly staff, delicious food, everything is plentiful: meat, fish, chicken. Every day there are new dishes, a huge selection of fruits, ice cream is not often, but delicious. Ice cream for children every day (it is necessary to order from the waiter according to the children's menu). Gym, swimming pool, sports entertainment, unobtrusive evenings in the evenings: karaoke, watching movies on the screen in English. Language, national ensembles. Children's animation is very poor, the maximum that can be counted on in this regard is a kindergarten in a children's room with English-speaking educators. Organized children's animations are purely for show and not about anything at all, but children have fun running between tables with each other. A convenient system with accrual of all purchases, orders in bars and restaurants to the room (payment at check-out). There are a huge number of different beaches on the island: for one, for two, for a family, for those who miss "our" beaches (this is when there is another sunbed after half a meter, and then another sunbed and we are all here). There is a gorgeous lagoon for kids, where there is a smooth entry into the ocean and there are no waves at all. A huge number of zones for Maldivian photos. There are animals in the ocean: sharks, stingrays, a lot of big fish. To the left of the hammock is a snorkeling area (you will see a path of buoys). We didn't have any coral, we didn't feel the need at all. The room is good, the air conditioner is perfectly located, turn it on calmly, no one will be blown away. Drinking water at the rate of a liter per person per day is complimentary. A mega convenient thing with whatsapp contact with representatives of the hotel, they are always there and ready to help you in everything! We lost the cap, it was quickly found in the children's club. Bar, hookah, non-alcoholic delicious cocktails. We took half board, it was enough for us, because dinner is sooooo dense. We did not find any disadvantages of the hotel.
